Beautiful museum and it's free too. The collection and exhibits are quite amazingly mesmerizing…read moreand it taken from varies period in time. There is a beautiful garden in the middle of the beautiful, heavily peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of exhibits to see and leans and it's not a small museum either, it big inside so a lot of walking for sure so wear comfortable shoe when visit. Staff are everywhere and they are friendly and helpful when needed. There is a locker room on the lower level and quite big too. Just try to go light or empty handed to avoid checkin and time.

We actually stopped by just for the beautiful cafe to enjoy an afternoon coffee. I was told I would have to leave it in the lobby to enter, which obviously wouldn't work for me for such an occasion. I was not aware of this rule, and the gentleman who'd scanned our passes clearly didn't wish to converse about its purpose...just a no period. After leaving I saw on their website about large bags not being allowed (the cushion isn't large, just a flat square) and that they'll decide which will be allowed inside. While I understand the need for this type of rule, I wish I'd been allowed to explain. My husband told him we were only visiting the cafe, and I tried to show him the cushion and wanted to explain, but was dismissed before I had the opportunity. Most places I've been to seem to accommodate for certain things like this, but unfortunately not here. A shame, I very much wanted to visit.

But the point is: this park is fantastic. I consider myself to be an aspiring-professional picnic'er, and my heart was exploding when I walked into Landbohøjskolens Have because pretty much it's perfect for an afternoon picnic with friends. You know what else it's perfect for? 1) Sitting on a park bench in direct sunlight, absorbing UV rays, and eavesdropping on intimate conversations unfolding nearby 2) Feeding ducks sitting on [frozen - but hopefully not for much longer] ponds 3) Smelling pretty flowers 4) Reading a book, on a blanket, on the grass I hesitated writing this review largely because I kind of want to keep this gem for myself, but I actually think the secret's already out, so come on over.

The park makes you feel like you're in a small fairytale - windy steps and paths with beautiful flowers everywhere. On a nice summer day it would be the perfect place for a photo shoot. Near the Copenhagen University building there is a small cafe in the middle of a large garden. Such a beautiful spot to have a coffee or light lunch with a friend. The cafe was closed when I stopped by but I will definitely go back another day when it's open.

Grand, simple & elegant garden. The inside was just amazing from room after room, from one level to the next and you got to down into the jewel in the basement for the grand jewels plus others. Just simply magnificent, I didn't have time to be bored or a break from it cause everything just connect from one to another. Everything just has that cozy but yet loyal vibe. So...shamefully, I never intended to visit this museum during my visit. My mistake!…read more I happened to be in the general area, wanting to go to a specifically contemporary art museum that was *supposed* to be open but definitely was not. I was cranky about it, but just started heading back towards the city center on foot to see what the world might have in store for me. And what it had in store for me was all of the National Museums! Since I was planning on a museum any way, wanted to snag some WiFi, and it was included with my Copenhagen Card that expired that evening...I mean, why not check it out!? There was a great variety of artistic styles and time periods represented here. So, no matter what kind of art you like, you will find something that you enjoy here. I personally enjoy modern and contemporary art, and since I had been on the hunt for that earlier, that is where I focused my attention. They have a very nice contemporary collection. Visually appealing, colorful, and things I haven't seen before! I really enjoyed everything I got to see, both in the contemporary areas and the rest of the museum. And after wrapping up my art-ing, I got a bite to eat and a very good cup of coffee in the museum restaurant. I had a much nicer time here than I expected to, and should have had this on my must-see list earlier in my visit. Don't make my same mistake!
