I spent $1,800 here on my first go around took the boat out and it wouldn't accelerate properly at…read moreall so I took the boat back to him he charges me another $300 and he didn't even put it back together the right way and leaking fuel everywhere the impeller had to be replaced the puppet valve had to be replaced I told this guy when I brought it in that I wanted it to run good and smooth I also gave him a history of the boat sitting I also did a fluid change on the bottom end of that boat and he knows what it is he didn't even do that that's a service job so this guy charged me $2,000 and the boat is still the way it is I don't know what to do and I'm going to call the better Business if you want to know that I can't threaten a guy I don't like the guy cuz he's full of BS every time you go his work orders aren't not even detailed he doesn't break anything down also he had a high performance stater that I paid $150 bucks for and he told me it was the wrong one and he put his on but do you think I got my new one back no he's using it he's a ripoff and he does shoddy service you know all these guys that take their boats there they've known him you know in school he's a good old boy but he sure doesn't know what he's doing his dad probably did but he don't and I'm going to get mine bet on that

Called numerous places throughout Northern California but was turned me down everywhere because they are 10+ years old. Found NorCal watercraft on Yelp and decided to give them a call to see if they can inspect & do a much needed tune-up in hopes of being able to run these skis before the summer ended. They said no problem bring them in . They were up & running within a timely manner. Took them to the river this weekend & they both ran great like new. I was pressed for time and had a small window to get this done. I called and spoke to Nathan and he was able to accommodate my schedule and get the job done and on time. A bit about the service. I did receive a call from Nathan about my jet skis and he was able to thoroughly provide a status and clearly explained what he found. My main concern was the switch, he tested the switch and the relay and everything was good. He told me how to rectify the problem and did not recommend changing any parts. I asked about replacing with new parts and he told me it would function the same. I appreciated his honesty and was pleased he did not take advantage of an opportunity to make more money! The customer service was outstanding! I talked to both Nathan and Marina and they both were nice and pleasant. When I arrived they both greeted me and helped me unhook my trailer. When I came to pick up my jet skis, Nathan showed me my old parts and explained what was done. Marina took my payment and they both assisted with hooking up my trailer. I definitely will be back to winterize and service my jet skis. Great job Nathan and Marina!

There were some communication problems with an employee. Once Eric (and Fred) found out about the communication issue, Eric took over and ALL of the issues were quickly resolved and I had my boat back within a few days. Eric even provided some financial credit back to me due to the problems I had encountered. Sometimes in life you run across a person who creates problems with communication and follow-through; that's life. But the way Eric took over and solved all of the issues (and within my stated budget) was remarkable! That's the kind of business I want to work with... IF problems occur; apologies made; and problems fixed with honesty and integrity. I have taken my boat to J & H Marine for several years. I am always impressed with their work and attitude. Thankfully, everything went well, but he spent the extra time going over things I had not even mentioned, for example checking belts, tightening hose clamps, tightening packing nuts on the prop shaft as well as the rudder. I feel what separated AJ from the other boat shops, is that he did not just look at the one thing he was requested to do, but actually spent the time going over everything to ensure nothing major was missing. I will certainly be using him in the future from now on!

The amount of time it took was horrible with no phone calls or text after trying to reach them…read moremultiple times. When we got the boat back and took it out, none of the bolts had been tightened on the fuel pump or the hose. It took us two hours to get back to the marina with our trolling motor called the owner and explain to him what happened and he said to bring the boat back to him. He would rectify the problems after two weeks of them sitting on the boat again we said, forget it, and wouldn't picked our boat up and now we have to take it to another mechanic. I do not recommend them at all.
