We all went to 5th Ave in Playa Del Carmen and that's when I found this shop. Exactly the things I wanted only better. The shirts all had a little difference to them. The stitching had small details that set them apart. The quality was even better and at a quarter of the price. The only problem was that there were so many different colors I wanted but was set on only getting 2.

I bought my daughter her graduation party dress here. It's beautiful and will not only commemorate this special mile stone but also remind us of our time together in playa, Del Carmen. The ladies were extremely helpful and didn't try to oversell you. I found a lot of stuff I liked if only I liked it better on me!! Those damn display dummies wear everything so perfectly. I hate them.

Fruits, vegetables, and bakery also excellent. They do seem a bit higher than their competitors, but not too much and I think worth it for the quality. Es super. Es híper! Es un mercado muy híper!…read more Seriously this is a huge, huge mercado, and the best last stop for groceries on the way to Tulum. This supermercado far outstrips any of the offerings south of this point, and should be a stop you make on the way from the airport to Tulum or really any points south. Located inside a weird sort of mini-mall, the Soriana has a surprisingly decent selection of produce, a very large and diverse selection of regular groceries, a big meat, deli and cheese selection, and pretty much everything you could want. The spirits selection is larger than your average supermercado. Prices are pretty decent. Don't miss the little deli section on the left hand side of the store (when facing in from the front) with various types of interesting Mexican cheeses and chorizos. Nothing too artisan or fancy here, but some decent stuff. The only things this place is missing are maybe a fresh salsa bar, some more artisan things, and maybe a little bit better produce section. But compared to other markets in the area, it easily holds its own.
