He gave us an invoice for work to be done on our driveway. It's supposed to come with a two-year warranty. He wanted us to make the checks payable to his name and not the company. He would go to the bank and cash the check directly apparently. The quality of work was very poor, I have called him since he did the job in January, came up with many excuses why he couldn't come, out of town, etc. has yet to come to repair the horrible work, which only lasted two days after done even after letting the driveway dry an additional two days than recommended. I asked him kindly when he would come, he blocked me, no further answer any of his emails. Please don't fall victim to this person. I tried to give him some business. Please see a copy of the invoice. The man never came back to do his job and he blocks your number when you ask him when he's coming back to back up the warranty. I have been waiting since January. Stephen was very prompt and professional in responding to my calls and messages and offered me a competitive quote that he thought would be a week long repair job. His crew had our brick wall repaired in 2 days and were able to salvage almost all of the old/existing brick which we were very appreciative of. Stephen was one of the only masons in town who was willing to clean and reuse the old brick so it looked as if it had never been repaired. He offered me some tips and advice for how long to wait and let the brick dry before putting screws into it and came out to the house after the job was done and inspected his crews work. He even offered to have them come back and clean up a few areas that still had some remaining mortar. I would highly recommend Brick and Stone Masonry for all of your masonry needs - thank you again for everything!

The company never responded to the requested estimates and ghosted the landscaping company and myself. Take these people with a grain of salt. Times are tough right now and finding good people is hard -- I get that. But just not answering after an estimate isn't something that you would want to go through.

They gave us an estimate and 3 or 4 weeks later, it needed to be dry, they dug out, filled with gravel, packed down the area, and laid the asphalt. They did it in one day. At one point maybe 10 guys were working. Within 2 days of the estimate they had someone mark the lines under the ground for gas, electric, etc. I am more than satisfied. They were great.

I used Yelp's Request A Quote to find a roofer/contractor. And considering our leak happened on a Sunday night, that's when I reached out to several companies. Many got back to me within the hour, including River City Vinyl Supply & Roofing. And if it weren't for a rainstorm on Monday, he would have come out that day. But he was able to come and look at the problem and have it fixed within an hour or so on Tuesday. John was speedy yet not pushy. He brought with him one of his employees, who actually got on our very tall roof to look at the problem. He talked through what he found with me and sent me a formal quote before proceeding. Turns out the flashing had pulled away from the chimney, and the mortar between several of the bricks had worn away. He showed me some photos of the roof to help me understand. After he was done, I was able to pay him easily via PayPal. And now we're talking to him about tackling our rickety, falling apart gutters as well. I'm happy to add John and River City Vinyl Supply & Roofing to our list of trusted companies that can work on our home.
