Very poor customer service and follow up. I had a roof installed by HKC and have warranty questions. They did come and inspect the roof two months ago - and it is leaking btw. Still zero follow up and they are not returning my calls. I also have other siding work to be completed which they did measure for but still zero estimates. I will not be using them for any further work. They agreed my roof may be tarped to minimize interior damage but also not a word from them. Find more reputable service providers and don't waste your time with HKC. Not even a one star but I cannot go lower read more

I don't have any issues with the roof installation, but now that I need some warranty work done it's a different story. I called today Tuesday April 15, 2025 to have some flashing around roof stacks repaired that has raised up. I was told they couldn't come out until Monday April 21, 2025. If we have any rain there's a possibility the roof may leak in those areas. I was told they were sorry , but they have around 30 other repairs they are trying to take care of. If that's the case, the quality of they're roofing workmanship must not be very good. William Kelly read more

2 1/2 years ago I had a roof and 3 skylights put in. About 10 months later I noticed the large skylight had almost a complete oval with multi colors in it. I t was replaced. It wasn't even cleaned when put in. The small one in the bathroom had a pink 1-inch strip all around it when looking up. They came out said not sky light. Had them come out and look at the problems . They cleaned the sky light. I think the sky lights are cheaply made. A year ago I noticed a 2 inch crack on ceiling and all down the walll. A perfect line up from the sky light and wall. After alot of phone calls they came out and said it looked like a nail had come up. They looked at walls and ceiling. They hammered it down. Still leaking. Sent video of wall and ceiling leaking. Never heard back. Called a few more times. They said they got the video. Came out and found there was 4 or 5 shingles that was the problem. This was October. If they would have checked the shingles, it could have saved months of trouble. Asked if they were going to repair my ceiling and wall. He said he would check back and call me. Called in mid-December and left message. Fast forward February, called left message again. Called again. Got a call from the guy making the repairs. After a year, it is done. I hope it holds up. I am not sure. They had a habit of not returning calls. It was a nightmare. I have a list of all my caIls to and from them. Not enough room here to write of everything. I would not recommend them. Horrible first time customer experience with this company. I called this company due to roofing damage which causes a leak in my home when it rains. The employee assigned to come to my home. When I spoke to the employee via phone he was at my home and made the determination that there was no roof damage despite never climbing up on the roof to see for himself. He was extremely rude over the phone questioning why I thought there was roof damage and asking if I had already got an estimate from another company. He demanded to know why I wanted more than one estimate and told me he was extremely busy and backed up with work so his exact words "why should I waste my time climbing your roof if you already have an estimate". I told him that he could leave my house ane his services were not needed. With this attitude, I would never call them again or recommend them to anyone. Horrible experience. read more

I had an overall poor experience with this company from the first meeting to the final result plus more. I am sharing my experience in order to caution others considering to hire them for their services. First concern ---the sales rep FAILED TO LISTEN and address my main concern which was the rotted out wooden soffit that I wanted fixed. He TALKED WAY TO MUCH and did not listen. Our initial visit took 2+ hrs. and he still did not get it right. My brother-in-law met with us to guide me through this expensive decision since I am a widow. Weeks later I called the rep with my request -- wrap soffits and install gutters. He said we would need to reevaluate the price (this made me think maybe he did listened). However, later that day, he called me back, asking if he could drop by to have me sign the contract. I was confused and caught off guard but also eager to get the project moving. Long story short, poor communication and a quick signature resulted in me signing only for gutters to be installed. I wonder........ - Was a quick drop-in signing intended to catch me off guard and eliminate my brother in law's guidance? -Was the rep wanting a quick sale? -Was a SALE more important than getting it RIGHT and having another meeting? -Was I taken advantage of? I answer YES, to all these questions ! The day the gutters were being installed I tried to ask the 2 man crew about the soffit work. They were unable to communicate with me(could not understand or speak English). Poor way to run a business. I called the sales rep during the installation to clarify what was happening. No answer. I left a message. He called back hours after the crew left. Not much help then. The clean up was unprofessional and negligent. Nails, screws, metal brackets, and even metal cutters were left in my front and backyard as well as in my driveway. I picked up so many. I recently had new windows installed (a much bigger job) and did not find one screw, nail or anything left in my yard. To top off the poor clean up.......a few days later there was a SCREW in my FLAT TIRE. Last, but not least and probably the MOST DISTURBING of the whole experience was the call I received from the rep. He left a rude insulting message on my phone concerning payment of the bill. At that time, it had not been 30 days since I had received the invoice and there was NO DUE date on it. When I paid the bill I INCLUDED A SIMILAR NOTE but received NO RESPONSE. We had been looking for someone to replace our gutters after our initial estimate of 5000 dollars from a contractor I just can't trust anymore. I contacted HKC roofing to get and estimate and they were very prompt at setting up an appointment for the estimate. Came out and were totally cool with our dogs which is always a big plus in my book. The guys recommend some additional flashing and their price came in under what I had budgeted. The gutters went up with out a problem in about a half a day and the detail of the hand mitered corners are a very nice touch. The flashing had to been done at a later date due to it needing to be custom made and they got it all done even with Covid going on. Making sure to wear mask and sanitize hands when needing to interact with me. I would highly recommend them. The attention to detail and noting that I didn't need to replace my fasciae boards which could have been an easy up sell for them. The straight forward pricing was really nice and the price I was quoted was the price I paid which was so refreshing. read more

Contracted to do a small siding repair job. They promised to do it in two weeks. They finally up after four weeks and many calls from me. The repair lasted less than two weeks. Then they refused to come out to fix the fix. Cannot recommend them, won't use them again. read more

I had a new roof installed on 4/13/23 by HKC Roofing and am very pleased with the end result. From the start when Blaine Galle sales manager came by to look at my roof to the new rood it was a pleasant experience. Blaine was great, He listened to what I wanted first and was not a high pressure sales person like some of the other roofing companies that came by, He was a breath of fresh air. The installers were great also, They did the job in one day and did a great job. The end result is that I am very pleased with HKC Roofing in Louisviile KY. they were hired to put on a roof doe replace the facia and install two new down spouts in April. They damaged my gutters, they damaged my landscaping, they lapped the down spouts incorrectly were the water was coming out mid way on the gutter. They damaged my screens. After a tree fell and damaged a portion of the gutter and our roof my husband and I decided it was best to replace our entire roof. We were eager to accomplish this but my husband was frustrated with the lack of follow up from a number of Other roofing contractors. I offered to help and after researching on YELP I reached out to this one via YELP messaging. He received a prompt contact and estimate and the job was accomplished in a very reasonable time frame. The estimate was accurate and when more wood was needed due to unexpected rotting, they graciously provided us with a nice per foot price break. After 3 months of waiting on Advantage Roofing and Construction to handle my insurance claim, I had to move on and find another company to replace my roof. I called HKC and in less than 3 weeks they had sorted out my claim and I was able to get a full replacement paid for by my insurance even though the initial finding by the insurance adjuster was for a spot replacement. Jesse at HKC was always quick to respond to my calls and emails when I had questions. My new roof is awesome because of the quality work done by HKC's professionals. You can get bids from other roofing companies and then call HKC roofing and they will more than likely beat the other companies bids and you will get a QUALITY job from these guys. I live in Louisville, KY. My roof was done by HKC Roofing a few months ago...it is still leaking after they charged me $8000 to fix it. When I called their office I spoke with a woman that basically said it was "my tough luck" that they didnt fix it. She said that they were too busy to come back to the job they did to correct the faulty workmanship. Further, she said the roof was NOT guaranteed, even after rain was pouring in far worse than when they started. The only reason I hired HKC Roofing was because I saw the commericial with the nice little boy so I though they were an honest family company. That was a big mistake. My house has leaked every day since it has rained and the roof is worse than before I got it replaced. Water is leaking on to my antique furniture which were family pass-downs. Some of the furniture he has ruined is from my now deceased mother and it is very sentimental. My grandma would have a stroke if she still was alive. That was a family heirloom and a beautiful walnut dining table. They never came to fix their bad roof. I called HKC Roofing more then 10 times. I just asked them to fix the roof. Mr.Kennedy told me that I was "messing around with he wrong people". I was very scared of him. He acted like he was part of some kind of "mafia" and did threaten me. All I wanted was a good roof and now I have to be scared of this company. Please Avoid them. read more

We had HKC Roofing & Construction put on roof last Fall. Everything was great with the job that was completed. We did have one small issue with the gutter guards and the roof. They came out right away to look at it and fixed the issue. I would highly recommend this company. They did all they said they would on the job and more. I called HKC Roofing because a leak developed in the ceiling in our front bedroom. They called me back and set up an inspection. Although the roof is only about 9 years old, I have no idea who installed it, since we bought the house used about 5 years ago. Jessie came out, inspected it and determined that it was leaking in the valley on a front gable. Apparently, no ice barrier had been installed under the valley and the shingles were not even being held down by adhesive allowing them to blow up. Jessie wrote up an estimate to "redo" the entire valley, which I signed, and the repair was scheduled by David and made within 2 weeks. I didn't even have to be home when it was done. They were clean, efficient, very fair on the price, and made an excellent repair. I will definitely be calling them back for any future repairs and for a complete roof, when the house needs one in the future. You can trust this company. I had this company recommended to me and was greatly disappointed..the communication was terrible and really just had to keep calling or emailing for information. Also, they hit me with a 4500 surcharge for new boards.. I was told that every board was rotten..ironically, my friend S was told the exact same story and how they got a deal on lumber. I was also told that I would have to pay the extra not the insurance company which was not true. At no time did they contact my insurance for additional compensation for other issues. They didnot want the insurance company to know they were charging customers over the agreed price to replace the roof. I had no argument with men who worked like dogs to replace the roof( all hispanic) I do have issues with the company and would not recommend them to anyone. My insurance company did pay for the new boards after HKC finally sent photos that I had asked for when told of the rotten boards...Just feel this company is not trustworthy. Brenda Scott read more
