I have so much in my collection that came from there. And the real treasures are Mayor Fox and Bonnie. They are the nicest people and their homemade brownies are amazing. The shop itself is nice, but they banquet room, if that's what you want to call it, really has a lot of space to fit a good group of people in it. The place is super clean, bright, and welcoming. Staff here are great and they have this thing where it is like a pay it forward section. The way they explained it was that you can either purchase and item on the board for someone when they come in, or you can use one that was purchased if you are short on cash at that moment. Kind of a nice little thing to do and keeps with the community. They have other things here besides coffee. Of course the have pastries and some sandwiches. I did not try any of them, but if I am in the area again, I would give this place a go for lunch sometime.

Like everywhere else, Starbucks are popping up everywhere. Whether it be a busy city or a small commercial area near the highway, they are popping up. Mostly now they are built with a drive thru to make it easier to get your fix and keep it moving. That's what happened here. After years of the land sitting vacant they finally decided to do something with it. Up popped a plaza and several stand alone businesses, including this Starbucks. Going through the drive thru is rather painless, especially if you know what you want. Employees are super pleasant and they work fast. Quick stop for your fix.

I inquired about the various sizes and amount of shots and he again replied "i don't know" then he said "if the latte doesn't have espresso i can make sure they add it." I said "your lattes don't already come with espresso?" He once again said "i don't know." (Obviously all lattes come with espresso) . He never bothered to check either. My niece proceeded to ask what flavors their macarons were, it took them asking 4 employees to give her an answer while the line piled up behind us Again this isn't a serious coffee shop, just one masquerading as one. The place seemed to have a bit of an identity crisis with a separate pottery painting area in the back, but I suppose that's only practical to make multiple uses of the space given this historic core of Altoona seems to have fallen on hard times and doesn't have much going for it. The iced mocha (3.5/5) I got was decent with only minor hints of bitterness, but was otherwise quite average.
