I was greeted friendly, immediately and asked if I would be dining. I replied, "No. Just an espresso. In fact I would like a Traditional Italian Macchiato (TIM)." (I lived in Italy for 5 months) The attendant asked if I would like a 16 or 20oz, at which point I explained to her what a TIM was. She assured me that would be no problem to guesstimake. 2 minutes later I was served the BEST TIM I've had since living in Italy in 1993! The espresso, the temperature, amounts of foam & steamed milk were all perfect! Later I called 517 to express to the (Owner I think) how amazing the Macchiato was, but instead unwittingly spoke to the barista that MADE my TIM. Needless to say, she got choked up & thanked me profusely. I told her, "Don't ever forget how to make that! You've nailed it!" So, thank you to unknown barista girl. If you knew how to make it...good on you! If it was the result of an "educated guess" (I assume) it was a stroke of divinely inspired genius! When our food arrived, we weren't given silverware, and only then could we ask for the things that were forgotten.
