My family has ordered from Big Belly several times over the past few years. In the beginning, the food was great. The service was great. As time has passed, and I don't know if they went under different management or something, all of it has went downhill. Originally, it was a drink or a side item wouldn't be included in our to-go orders. We would just go back to the restaurant, since it's close by, and get whatever it was that was left out. The food has progressively worsened. We have continued to order from Big Belly, though, in hopes that things would be different this time. Today, however, I think we're done. We ordered fries which were way too crispy, almost burnt, and was seasoned so heavily with salt that if they weren't already near inedible due to being practically burnt to a crisp, you definitely wouldn't have been able to consume them from the amount of salt. We also ordered a cheeseburger that had been cooked way past well done. And the tiramisu... well, it's very obviously not homemade, not that they advertise it as such, but the cake isn't soaked in espresso or coffee, and it's just very obvious that it's a premade tiramisu-like cake that has been purchased elsewhere (Sam's Club?) and repackaged. It did taste good but would be even better if it was more like tiramisu than it actually is. Our other orders, an Italian sub and a pizza, honestly, no real complaints there. It's sad to see what was a good place to eat slowly decline.. but it is what it is.. oh well. read more

Was just there and waited an hour for our food (a burger and a sub. Not even a complicated order at all.) I ordered the spicy cheeseburger and it honestly wasn't that good. Tough bits in it, not much spice, and the tomato didn't go with it well. But that's not why I'm giving one star. I ordered a water and it tasted heavily of soap or plastic or...something gross, I don't know. I suspect they're not rinsing our their glasses very well before they go in the sanitizer. They said both the owners were cooking today because the little help they do have was out sick. Well, I feel a little sick myself after that mess. I was very clear about the issue, but did any manager come to address it? Was anything comped? No and no. 20 dollars total when all I got was a burger and water (didn't pay the extra two bucks for fries, but my guest did and drank soda with their sub.) I don't know if they charged for the soda I ended up replacing the nasty water with, because their receipts aren't itemized. I could still detect that gross taste even with the soda masking it. They said it's probably just the Pulaski water. Bologna! I get water at all the other Pulaski restaurants and it has never once tasted that foul. Met up with family and they insisted we stop here for dinner. It's an unassuming place. But the food was surprisingly so, so, so, sooooo good. We ordered a multitude of items because we were such a large party and each and every single thing that came out of that kitchen was magical. Even the salad. Their ranch dressing is homemade and I wanted to swim in it (which is not normally my thing). The crust on the pizza and calzone was perfection - subtly flavorful and crunchy without being overdone. All the subs come on toasted bread - the philly subs are amazing. And they don't short you on dessert either. We tried the strawberry shortcake and it just melts in your mouth and actually tastes like strawberries. Everything we tried was delicious. And portion sizes are huuuugeee. The wife and I have ordered from Big Belly a few times. We've ordered the same thing almost every time. 2x philly cheese-steak and a kid's chicken tender combo. Tonight it was $46. The time before that it was around $60, and the time before that it was closer to $40. 3 orders ago I got everything on my cheese-steak and my wife got hers without mushrooms. (She has a food allergy) The order came in perfectly as ordered. 2 orders ago we had the same order but the order came in incorrect as both cheese-steaks contained mushrooms. I called and informed Big Belly of the error and a correctly made cheese-steak was sent. Tonight, I made sure to order both cheese-steaks without mushrooms for safety sake. One of them did contain mushrooms. I called Big Belly to inform them of their mistake and they said that it was written down as "1 with, 1 without", and that I, the customer was in error. I made sure when talking to the woman taking the order that it was very clear that neither cheese-steak contain mushrooms. No mention of an apology or replacement was offered, my wife was unable to eat her cheese-steak after waiting an hour and a half on the delivery. TLDR: Long wait times. Overpriced. Food is decent at best. Bella's Pizzeria it is not. If you have a food allergy, eat here at your own risk. Management seems capable, but staff needs some work. read more

The food was not attractive to look at and the taste matched that first impression. The fries were absolutely inedible. My wife tried to eat one and spit it out the taste was so foul. We had to repeatedly flag down the waitress as she never came back by of her own will and he attitude was uncaring at best. We explained to her about the fries and she said "I'm sorry" and walked off. When we paid we told the guy the same thing and got no reply at all. Maybe it was a really bad night for them, I don't know. This was actually the 2nd time we were there. The first time was right after they opened and were told there would be a 30-45 min wait to see a waitress. What I do know is we're not going back. read more

This place is horrible for service. I ordered 2 meals once and they forgot my fries then told me the NEXT time i order "Another" fry I can get two free...why order ANOTHER one??? Then I ordered again and I was supposed to get my food between 7:20-7:30 and at 7:45 I called and my food was ready and going out the door, at 8:30 I still didn't have my food, BUT it was in a hot bag so that was supposed to keep it warm!!! What a mess. We'd have preferred to place the order by phone because we had special instructions for some of the dishes, but their lines were ringing busy each time we tried, so we ordered online through their website instead. In the special instructions space AND in the general notes section on the order form, we asked the restaurant to please call us if there was any issue with our requests. We didn't get a phone call so we assumed everything was good to go. When we arrived to pick up the order we asked the special instructions, just to be sure. We waited while the staff checked with the manager (owner?) to see if they were able to accommodate the special requests. We were told yes, they made the items as requested. However, when we got home and opened the order, we discovered they'd ignored the special instructions. We were also missing part of the order (we ordered two mozzarella sticks, they only gave us one). We tried calling and kept trying until we finally got through. We spoke to the staff and explained the issue, thinking there was a mix up. There was not. It turned out that the manager/owner intentionally ignored the special requests. After a lot of run around, he finally admitted that they couldn't make the item the way we requested because they don't have the ingredients needed. However, no one called to tell us this. They knew they didn't have the ingredients, so they should have called before they began making the order. That's the proper thing to do anytime that kind of situation arises, but in this case we even asked them TWICE in the order notes to please call if there was an issue. They didn't. They were also dishonest about this when we picked up the items--they assured us the dishes were made according to the special instructions. It's now clear that was an intentional lie. We tried to resolve the situation amicably. But the manager offered no apology for any of it--not for ignoring the special instructions, not for failing to call us before making the order, and not even for lying when we came to pick it up and asked point blank about the special instructions. He knew he sent us home with food that was not what we ordered, and he didn't care. He also refused to issue a refund for the items that were not made correctly. We didn't want a refund for everything, just those items. As customers we gave this restaurant every opportunity to act with honesty and decency. When we asked them to please communicate, they purposefully chose not to. When we asked them to ensure the order was correct, they decided to lie. When we asked them to correct the issue with a partial refund, they refused. We're very disappointed by this unprofessional attitude and what amounts to intentional fraud. The owner already had our money (and the 20% tip we included when placing the order), so he chose to deceive us rather than informing us of the truth and possibly face having part of the order canceled. This situation was unpleasant, dishonest, and ruined our dinner. read more

I've eaten here several times since they've opened. My food has always been on par with what I've expected. Pizza is good and the flavor of the crust is excellent but they could stretch the dough out a little more to make for a thinner crust. If they could improve on one thing, I'd recommend they work on their logistics. If this place gets even a little busy - you're looking at an hour or more wait. read more
