UPDATE: The owner called me back today to profusely apologize for the "perfect storm," and for losing his temper on the phone yesterday. He honored my voucher, and promised that he would always show up for our carpet cleaning, as he has done in the past. Excellent remedy of the situation - and hey, we're all entitled to a bad day! And after reading some of the information about how merchants contract with Groupon and LivingSocial, I'm sure those vouchers lead to some real headaches.
Wow. After using this guy for the past 5 years, in two different houses, I will never use him again. We used to love the service and product, but I just had the worst customer service experience. We scheduled our appointment, and a different carpet cleaning company showed up. When I talked to the "sub-contractors" about redeeming our LivingSocial voucher, they had to call the owner of Big Blue. Long story short, Big Blue wouldn't honor the paid voucher amount ($50). Instead, I was berated on the phone for failing to notify him before the job that I was using a voucher. He yelled at me, "don't tell me how to run my company," when I expressed dissatisfaction that he had not shown up and had sent a sub-contractor. Beware of this company - the owner has a very short fuse, and doesn't really care about customer satisfaction. read more
