I recently had a bathroom remodeled and at first glance it's beautiful. However, floor tiles are not even.. When I addressed this with them I was told they are allowed to be "off" some.. That maybe true but I should not be able to run my foot across them and get stuck on the uneven ones. Also have uneven bath tiles.. I was told the wall was uneven so that is why the tiles are uneven... Umm I've lived in over 25 places and not once was this the case.. I'm pretty sure your supposed to level out the wall! Caulking is awful between tub and tile.. Why?? Because there isn't any!! Even the grout is bad.. Missing in places.. Falling out in others! In general just seems like the work of a handyman not a professional contractor. I was also told that a professional cleaner would come after the job was finished to clean up the mess... That didn't happen either. Again very nice but in hind sight that niceness was a mask of inadequacies. After a much longer project than it should have been I just got fed up with dealing with them. Took our money and ran! This company's website claimed to 1. Do what they promised 2. Do the job…read moreright 3. Finish on time. None of this applied to our project. Our project was a 5 week whole house remodel costing over $40,000. Owner of Quality Construction, David Banks, told us everything we wanted to hear and did everything right when trying to get us to choose his company to remodel our home. He really impressed us. We liked him and trusted him. We gave him half the money for the project and that is when everything changed. He lied about so many things that he had initially told us. The 5 week project took 4 1/2 months. We were living in a complete construction zone the entire time. We were suppose to be able to live in completed areas while they worked in other areas. For a month of the time, we didn't even have a fully functioning bathroom. We were suppose to have a team of people working at our home. Usually there was only one man working there. We were suppose to have bi-weekly production/ budget meetings. He would often cancel or be late for these meetings. He wouldn't have updated budget sheets. He became increasingly harder to reach by phone. His attitude also became increasingly arrogant, condescending, and rude. He seem to completely forget that we were the customer paying him tens of thousands of dollars to provide the service he said he would provide. They didn't pick up after themselves. I did that. They didn't protect my belongings. We had to put down papers and cover things with plastic. They were suppose to have done this but they didn't. They nearly ruined my brand new furniture by not taking precautions that David Banks had assured us they would take. They were suppose to clean my house when they were finished but they didn't. We spent ten hours the day after they left cleaning up from the destruction they had caused. My husband spent every weekend fixing their work from the week. They didn't finish the job. My husband spent two weeks after they left finishing what we had paid them to do. They took some of our things. They used things without permission. They ruined things that we had to replace. They were suppose to repair the crack in our chimney that let water in and made bricks pop off the chimney. They didn't make the repair. They were suppose to repair drywall, they didn't. They laid our hardwood floors down as a floating floor which is incorrect. The hardwood was suppose to be nailed down, now the hardwood gaps and moves. We have had several smaller issues with the remodeled bathrooms. Our chimney was suppose to be guaranteed for any problem we might have in the future and the rest of the house was suppose to have a one year warranty. With the warranty they were suppose to come back at two six month increments to make any repairs that we might need. We needed them to come and make the repairs at the first of the six month visits but they had gone out of business and filed for bankruptcy. He has ignored my attempts to contact him. So our guarantee and warranty no longer exist. We are going to have to pay someone else to come fix the mess they have made and the hardwood floors and chimney cost over $10000. We are devastated. This was our dream and David Banks has made it a nightmare. I cannot even fully convey how horrible this situation was in this short review. If David Banks name comes up in conjunction with another company you should run the other way. BUYER BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!!
