Two amazing days of navigating St. John and the surrounding areas. You will not find a better boat or captain.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. POORLY MANAGED. LOTS OF BETTER CHOICES…read more Captain Abbey was rude and hostile. * went to the wrong pickup spot to start the morning * failed and refused to respond to text messages and calls to get her to pick up at the Westin as booked and paid extra for, until contacting her boss. Then responded with a text stating "...HaHa..." * blasted the music at full volume over the engines to the point that it made your ears ring and when asked to turn the volume down first she turned the music off completely and then turned it back on even louder * never spoke a word to describe the sights - again because she had the music blaring * never got us to a single place to go snorkeling the entire day and told us the snorkeling was not very good in the BVI We had booked for a second day private charter as well. When I requested a different captain, I was told they 'stand by Captain Abbey' and refused to provide a different captain. I stated if they would not provide a different captain that I would cancel, but I was then threatened they would be charge me anyway. In addition, the boat was in poorly maintained with massive tears several feet long all over the boat. In all my years of visiting the USVI / BVI islands and taking private charters out, I have never had a worse experience. AVOID THIS COMPANY

The kids really enjoyed it. They were about 30 minutes late so we had a cold brew at tickle's, and they gave us some tumblers for their tardiness. Ben was a good captain too. It's not cheap but it was totally worth it for us. I would consider them again and possibly for some other water adventures.

Awesome Time! This is our 12th trip to USVI and Good Day is hands down the best charter we have…read moreever had. The company really makes you feel like you are family. I cannot say enough about our Captain Dusty. He was incredible! He took us to the Baths, Willy T and the Indians. Jumped off the top of Willy T for hours and that Crispy Chicken sandwich was amazing! Great snorkeling, great lunch and Captain's good company. Dusty kept our two 12 YO boys happy by speeding over the waves and lifting them off their seats. He also let them experience actually driving the boat all the way down the channel (under his supervision of course). Made both of them feel like they were the Captains for the day. We have chartered boats all over the Virgin Islands and we have never experienced such a unique blend of professionalism, courtesy and sincere desire to make your day on the water the best day ever. We will not charter with anyone else after being spoiled by Good Day. In fact my Brother just booked three of their boats for October. If you are looking to spend one of the most memorable days of your life, call Good Day; they will make it happen! Why are you still reading? Pick up the phone and call or text Dusty!

While sightseeing was fun and the general island vibe was noteworthy, the most memorable part of my experience was all thanks to Good Day Charters. The Captain and his crew were very knowledgeable and entertaining. They really cater to what you want to get out of the trip. I was a snorkeling "virgin" and Dusty was very patient helping me to figure out how to get everything on correctly and even gave me some pointers on how to swim deeper and see all the fascinating wildlife underwater. The staff was great at navigating the waters and getting us up close to the action... and keeping us fed and hydrated when we weren't floating with the fishies. When choosing a charter to have the experience of a lifetime, I can't see any other option than Good Day Charters. I can't wait to get back and do it all over again!

Tell me why the day before the event in Tortola I from the departure was be at 5:30 PM instead of 7 PM I booked no problem ended up leaving St. Thomas to go to Tortola. Departure time 5:30 when these people did not arrive until almost 6 PM to check in., checking in with a little confusing, anyways, we ended up departing on our way arrived BVI and was asked to present our passport and the form that we filled out departure time where I booked was supposed to be 3 AM from Tortola back to St. Thomas, why did the person who worked on the boat? change the time seconds after passport in form was presented saying that we have to be back on the dock by 5 AM instead of 3 AM bear in did not get back to St. Thomas Virgin Islands until 8:30 in the morning, so they dropped us off in Tortola BVI and did not up to their bargain. We were all stranded, cold and hungry. If I were you, I would never book with this company.

My wife and I have visited the USVI's about twenty times during the past twenty-five years. This…read morewas our first stay on St. John and our first St. John day sail. We have always taken at least one day sail during each visit to the islands. The Survivan is a very well equipped and modern boat. Jason was very knowledgeable and capable as captain. When making the reservation for the trip I forgot to ask one question. That question being, do you live on the boat? If yes, I try to avoid the boat. What we have found is that when you are visiting the captain's home, the attitude is more that this is my residence as opposed to this is where I run my business. This trip was no exception. When we arrived onboard something seemed to be wrong between Jason and Lou. There was a bit of tension in the air. In fact, Lou did not really interact with anyone until after the first snokel stop. This was also the first time we were offered anything to drink. After a quick sail to a calm area, lunch was served. Lunch was a large sub with several side salads. While we ate on deck Jason and Lou were doing dishes and other housekeeping activities downs stairs. After lunch there was one more snorkel stop and a quick trip back to port. Our experiences in have past have been on boats where you are offered breakfast and drinks as soon as you stepped onboard. The captain and mate are usually talkative beyond belief and willing to serve guest. Lunch varies in quality but is the time when the captain and crew bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need. Jason and Lu were very nice. When prompted they would talk and knew some great details about St. John and St. Thomas. We have taken enough day sails to compare services and boats. The Survivan is not the worst boat we have spent a day sailing. It is however from the best.

*** Private Charter Review *** Bad Kitty offers group tours…read moreon a larger catamaran and some other rentals , but we just did a private charter. AND, if you are in a group of like 6 or more, it's so worth it - you are on your own schedule and un-rushed. We did a full day + an additional hour in the BVI. HIGHLY Recommend the additional hour if you are going to do the Bathes - it's an hour to get out there! But it was worth it - a really fun hike down and just beautiful water - if you aren't trying to do too much in the day you could definitely negotiate spending more time exploring here. Captain Greg was great (we were an older group so we probably were a little boring ) but he told us about the various locations, made recommendations and found us some secluded snorkeling spots after lunch. It was THE BEST DAY in the Virgin Islands, just island hopping around and being on the open water. Very friendly, very knowledgeable - he had a bunch of dining and bar recommendations too! It's no frills and the boat isn't the newest one out there - but it's a great value!!! I hope it stays that way - it's a family run business so that probably helps, but most other charters charge you 50+ per guest over 6 and they are already pricier than Bad Kitty. Bad Kitty only charges you after 8. They also don't charge you more for going out to the Bathes - I did a lot of comparisons and some will up the charge to go that far out and that doesn't even include gas! So this was really a great deal for a nice boat with plenty of shade, a wet bar for mixing drinks, plenty of snorkeling gear and noodles and some nice upgrades if you want food and drinks, but they also offer ice and a cooler if you bring your own I can't say enough good things, it was a really great experience and a great way to see some of the BVI without being herded around in a large group Some things to consider for private charters: - All charge a customs fee to go to the BVI: I saw some as low as $75 and some as high as $90 pp - I think this has to do something with what BVI charges charters each year to enter their waters, but this is not unusual and many will ask for your passports up front. If you don't want to bother with that, stay in the USVI for the day - you will still be able to get to some cool spots! - All charters do expect gratuity for the Captain - standard is 20% gratuity (I suppose you don't have to give that much, but gee... they hang out with you all day, get you to some hard to reach spots and make sure you are back through US customs before they close at 5 so you aren't stranded! So you better have a good reason not to give 20% ) - You are also responsible for the gas - the further out you go, the more expensive this will be. It was $294 for our day out to the Bathes, then to Norman Island for lunch and a few snorkeling spots (but that is going to be based on the volatile price of gas at the moment - SO DO NOT quote me on that). When I talked to the woman who helped me with the booking, she was able to give me estimates based on where we thought we wanted to go - which was helpful for budgeting :) All-in-all - I can't recommend them enough!! I plan to be back in the USVI again next year and will be looking these guys up again! And thanks again Captain Greg for a truly wonderful, memorable day!!!

The boat was clean and well-maintained, and the itinerary took us through some of the most stunning waters and islands the Caribbean has to offer. From swimming in crystal-clear waters to relaxing on pristine beaches, it truly made for a memorable day. Despite the longer wait at BVI customs, it went off without a hitch. The crew--apart from one exception--was friendly, engaging, and attentive. They made sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and having fun. The drinks were flowing, the music set a great tone, and the overall vibe was relaxed yet professional. That said, I would be remiss not to mention the demeanor of Captain Jeremy. While clearly knowledgeable about the boat and the route, his tone throughout the day felt unnecessarily condescending and dismissive, I mean this guy is all business. What could have been light-hearted banter often came off as dismissive or patronizing, which slightly dulled the otherwise positive energy aboard. Despite that hiccup, the Bad Kitty experience was still enjoyable, and I would recommend it to others--with the caveat to manage expectations around the captain's communication style. A bit more warmth and respect from the helm would go a long way toward making this a five-star excursion.
