We went on a half day trip to turtle bay with a crew of three guys! Mark was an amazing captain! Tim was awesome leading us in the water and bar tender was tentative and friendly. The boat was nice. Everything we needed for the trip. Captain let people drive the boat. We had a fantastic time. Had many comments afterwards from our group of 17 about the top notch service from the crew! Wonderful day snorkeling. Saw 5-6 sea turtles, sting ray, barracuda, lots of fish, so clear. One of the better snorkeling spots!! Tim was also very cautious and helpful to all degrees of swimming levels. He made the advanced feel free and the cautious feel safe. Go on this trip!!!

I'm adding a second review for our sunset dinner cruise. Our first experience was their snorkel tour and it was awesome. The dinner cruise was, too. They really go out if their way to make everyone feel special and the food and drinks were really good. I highly recommend them for either snorkeling or sunset dinner cruise. Both were great experiences. If we are back to St. Thomas any time in the next few years - we will be sure to use them again!

Awesome sail! The Captain and crew were very professional. Beautiful experience, highly recommend!

The staff was nice and actually moved around and continuously came by to ask if you needed something. (That's why this got 2 stars the awesome staff). Sorry this was the worst sail I have ever been on. I do these sails at different companies so I can tell friends that come in to the territory as well as new guest and this was not it. The music- was old 1970-80's and mix 90's slow reggae, country and a little pop that made you feel like you were at a funeral. The drink selection- 2 types of beers and the CHEAPEST RUM you can buy on the island. I'm sorry but the smell of any of the rum had everyone wonder what's going on? The painkiller was badly mixed. So overall everyone turned to drinking bud light or coors light (don't quote the beers because I think I'm wrong on 1 of the names). The food- was decent. It was cooked with flavor and just a few was just overly salty.

My husband and I enjoyed this activity. Great sunset dinner cruise. The food was delicious and the crew were friendly and welcoming. We had a beautiful evening . Thank you Vl Cat team.

Captain Mike and deckhands Michael and Heather were awesome! Short trip from the Marriott dock on mostly smooth water. Saw turtles, fish and even a black tipped shark. Really enjoyed the peaceful return trip with the sails up and delicious painkiller punch flowing freely. Highly recommend!

One of the most wonderful experiences. I wish I had time to do it again on this trip. I loved every moment of this trip. I was a little afraid when boarding began because of the strict mask requirements. I assumed they would be like that the entire trip. Upon boarding I realized that you were going to have a drink the entire trip so no need for the mask. Literally drink in hand the entire time!!! These ladies NEVER slacked on service. The drinks were wonderful and the service was incredible. They were spectacular. They have the whole operation down to a science. They make well-timed rounds to never have an empty glass. The food service was amazing. The food is plated and served due to Covid, but seconds are welcomed. Heck they are even encouraged. The views are amazing. One of my most enjoyable evenings on the island.

Highly recommend these guys!! Sandy, Isaac, Jackson and Father Dave made the trip so entertaining!! Snorkeling was a lot of fun and they were very knowledgeable!! Definitely looking them up again when we go back!!

Hands down one of our favorite excursions while we were in St. Thomas for Christmas in 2022. My daughter (11), my dad (55), and myself (35) had an incredible time! Gorgeous route on our way to the snorkeling spot - turtles, octopus, colorful fish, coral, squid, seagrass meadows to discover sea turtles, manta rays, and MORE! Sunset was breathtaking on our way back - snacks and cocktails were nonstop!

The biggest issue was the lack of organization from the start. We spent close to an hour waiting between multiple lines--first in the sun to exchange tickets, then again to hand off a second ticket. It felt unnecessarily complicated and poorly managed. Because of the delays, the boat traveled very fast to make up time. The water was choppy, and several guests became seasick on the way to the snorkeling site. There were also multiple issues with communication and expectations. We were not informed in advance that full-face snorkel masks were not allowed, which would have impacted our decision to book. The equipment provided did not feel clean, and we were told there were not enough flippers or beverages for everyone. The excursion description advertised rum punch, soft drinks, and snacks, but no snacks were provided. The rum punch was also very poor quality, and most guests declined more. While the snorkeling location at Buck Island was beautiful and the water was calm, the actual experience in the water was lacking. The guide quickly swam off and was not visible to the group, leaving guests without direction. Our time snorkeling felt short--around an hour. The return trip was slower and more comfortable, which we appreciated. However, overall this was the least enjoyable snorkeling excursion we have experienced. We would not choose this company again and would recommend others consider alternative options.

After about a ten minute walk from the ship, we embarked on our sail to Buck Island National Wildlife Refuge. Once we arrived at Turtle Cove, the crew gave us thorough snorkeling instructions (including: don't touch the turtles), and distributed quality equipment. They were super helpful to anyone in need. My snorkeling PIC and I swam halfway between the boat and a big group of people, and found a beautiful sea turtle having lunch underneath us. We floated with her for about an hour. Unfortunately, tourists from the other boat were trying to touch her. Ew. [$10k fine, by the way] Once we were back on board the bar opened for endless cocktails. We drank tasty rum punch all the way back to port. Overall, an AMAZING three hour excursion, I would definitely book again.

When you think of all the money spent on single excursions from a snorkeling trip, turtle watching, half day on a boat it definitely adds up more than what we spent here. As a family of four, booked on Calico Jack, it was $950 plus tax, so an even 1000. Alibi is very transparent with pricing as well. Be prepared to pay fuel cost (we used 25 gal at $5.77/gal) and minimum $200 gratuity. By the time all is said and done you will be close to $1400. If you are going with another family you can split the costs. The charter company will provide you with a cooler stocked with ice and a 1 gallon of water, you bring the food, drinks and snacks. We brought our water bottles filled already and topped off as needed. As to the snacks, we found ourselves only snacking to take the salt water out of our mouth, other than that we were having fun from location to location exploring beaches and snorkeling spots that by the time we were hungry it was lunch time! Captain Ethan took us to the Island of Luvango for lunch, and this appears to be the spot for everyone. What a beautiful view, and more importantly what a Great lunch! i would highly recommend the bowls, that seemed to be the way to go, and soooo delicious. The drinks were ok, however we were not there to drink. We spent a good hour having lunch, using the restrooms, and exploring the couple of shops they had on the island. After we were all said and done, they take you back to your boat on a dingy and back on the trip. The rest of the day was spent doing some more exploring snorkeling around the islands. Christmas Cove was probably my favorite snorkeling around a small rock formation where I got to see corral and all types of fish, sea turtles, and ocean life. That in itself was worth the trip. The kids did not want to explore so they stayed following sea turtles and swimming around a sunken ship. After that it was onto the last stop at Epstein Island. Captain Ethan said there was some good exploring here too, and he also said, "remember the island didn't do anything to anybody, the people did," so be open and take it in. If anything just for the purpose of saying you saw it for yourself. By the end of the day we were spent. Before you knew it the day was over. To me that is a sign of a great day when you lose track of time, off your phone, having good conversation with the Captain to learn about the locations, and documenting your excursion. Captain Ethan took some great photos of us and was very attentive to going to areas that would allow us to see the most of all the islands. Oh, I forgot to mention Oppenheimer beach...yup "The Oppenheimer", where he ended up living the last of his days. Another memorable spot that we can now say we been too. Should we return back we would definitely consider booking another excursion to explore the British Islands.

Captain Val was very helpful and informative about the safety guidelines for the extremely comfortable boat we were blessed to have for the day. Christmas Cove was the perfect spot for a first time snorkeler and Lovango Cay had some great coral and fish! Captain Val's lunch recommendation on St. John was perfect. The day was perfect! From snorkeling with the turtles, colorful fish and diverse coral to the beautiful beaches, history and weather. This excursion was the highlight of our vacation! This adventurous lady was a virgin snorkeler and Val helped make it easy. I'll be returning to my island home in southern Florida and ready to do some snorkeling there asap!

It's a public beach and I should be able to lay on my towel where I'm not in anyone's way and not get this treatment. This behavior also extended to others that didn't pay for chairs. The snorkeling isn't even impressive here. We snorkeled nearly every day for over a week at different beaches and this was bottom of the list. Glad we weren't planning on staying long anyways.
