Ok, let me start by saying this review is a little long but I implore you to read till the end & you'll see why. What can I say about this company other than professional, courteous, friendly, the list goes on and on. We were kept up to date on their arrival via text which is almost unheard of nowadays. Trust us, we dealt with another company & when they didn't show up at the scheduled time we contacted them and were told they would be there when they could and our appt just meant they would be there between when they open & close...WOW, so needless to say when they finally showed up 6 hours late I told them I didn't want their business. So on to Big Blue, when they showed up today they introduced themselves right away and with a big smile. We got them pointed in the right direction and before we knew it they were done. Saying they were done quick & efficiently would be an understatement, left my wife and I in awe. The thing that made us choose Big Blue was the fact that they were willing to work with us. After several other calls to different companies, none of whom would budge at all it left a bad taste in our mouths. After just a couple of text back & forth to Big Blue we knew we were blessed to find them. You see I'm fighting end stage 4 colon cancer & on a fixed income so when we were told they could help us out we knew God put them in our path. I had a bunch of junk I needed to get rid of. Piles of old dusty cardboard, old, discolored, deformed, plastic, storage containers, old, plastic flower pots, scraps of a broken headboard, debris from a home remodel that was too big to fit in my trash bin etc. I found them listed on Craigslist so I wasn't sure how legit they were but their price was reasonable. I called and they said to text an appt. time which I did and they gave me a price estimate. The day of the appointment they called a couple hours before and wanted to know if they could come earlier because they were in the area. I would have said yes but I wasn't at home so we had to stick with the original time. They arrived right on time, went straight to work, and were done within 20 minutes, tops. And to top it off, they charged me the lowest range of the estimate. I stood there looking around, realizing that all this stuff that I had been dealing with for years was finally GONE, I gave him a tip!!! By the way, when I first called to get the estimate, I wasn't sure how they set a price, but they asked me if I had any heavy appliances like a washer or dryer which I didn't. I'm assuming if you have a lot of really heavy stuff they would charge more. I've never dealt with a junk removal service before so I can't really compare them with any other service, but I would definitely recommend Big Blue and would call them again for junk removal. Saturday afternoon I called Big Blue and talked to Brandon - He cheerfully set up our appointment to come out on Sunday morning for a yard cleanup and to haul away some old furniture. Sunday morning he called to reconfirm time and let me know he was on his way. On arrival I took Brandon and 2 crew members on a quick tour of what we wanted removed and they immediately got to work. They even got out a saws all and dismantled the old rotting bird coop. When he started this it required him to shatter a big piece of glass... my first thought was "wow, I guess I will clean up that glass when they leave". After they broke down the coop, without my asking they raked up all of the bits of rotten wood and broken glass. The site was left spotless. At one point I felt like I was David Copperfield. I would simply point at something and it would disappear. In just over 1 hour they had filled the giant truck, and then got out brooms to sweep up the carport. Now for the cost. As best I can tell it would have cost me more to make individual dump runs and I wouldn't have had all the extra service. Using Big Blue I didn't have to pick up anything! I could not be happier with this experience from the moment I made the call until the truck drove away. First class operation. Friendly and efficient team taking pride in doing good work. I first used Big Blue Junk Removal in 2019 after my brother recommended them to me. I had purchased a property from an auction that had hoarders living in it and there was a massive amount of trash and rodents. I got bids from various companies and there were even a few companies that refused to do the job because of the amount of trash and rodents that they saw. After getting several estimates, Big Blue Junk Removal was the most reasonably priced. As part of the deal, they also demolished the kitchen cabinets and other parts of the house for me. Big Blue Junk Removal ended up doing a total of 18 trucks loads within 2 days for that job. They were several trucks that showed up to do the job even though it was raining and boy did they work fast! When they were done, they raked and swept the place clean. I was so impressed with their services that I continue to use them today. I call them when the dumpster gets too high before garbage day, when I need a clean out for a garage or house, and most recently, I had them do a demolition to a house that I purchased. These guys are fantastic! Not only are they the nicest people I've met in a long time, they were so incredibly helpful. I had a huge mess to deal with tons of trash to be hauled away but also a lot of nice items that I had planned to donate to a hospice thrift store. Unfortunately' hospice had to cancel their pick up but the items had to go because I was moving and my lease was ending. I hated to see all the clothes, resell-able items, furniture and even medical equipment just be thrown away. But Big Blue Junk does more than just fill our landfills up. The good items were packed separately and taken to thrift stores, women's shelters, the medical equipment they even took to Shriners. On top of that, their crew jumped right in and helped pack boxes, gather trash, and move the furniture. And the whole time they were laughing and joking, making the entire horrid experience a day of fun with new friends. Louise is a amazing guy. For the third time in a year he has come out and removed trash that people have illegally dumped in and around my businesses dumpster. Every time they have come out they have not just hauled off the trash but swept the area clean as well. Big Blue Modesto moves with the swiftness of an entire clean up crew at the cost of just one. I started doing business with them almost 2 years ago when I had moved locations. We had to demo the inside of a building to bring it back to the condition it was before adding rooms and tile floors. It was projected to be a 3-4 day job. Knowing we had to haul it all off as well I contacted big blue modesto to see if they could do the demo work as well. They showed up and less than 3-4 hours later the building was down to bare bones. I am very impressed with BIG BLUE. From the first day we talked Brandon was fair and very professional. Since he was the first person I called he wanted to make sure I called around and got comparison prices. I talked to a few other companies and in the end I still went with BIG BLUE. They came we talked more about the job and they got started on it right away. I couldn't believe how fast Brandon and Julian got the job done. They were very respectful and always had a smile on. I was extremely pleased with the job Brandon did for me, I was doing a final cleaning after a tenant move out and wanted to leave the property looking good for the family purchasing the home. I hired him based on his existing recommendations on Yelp and I was certainly not disappointed. We messages back and forth several times and I sent him pictures of the areas that needed to be cleaned out. This was very handy for me since I was traveling from out of town and had several other things going on at the house that same day. He gave me an estimate and I felt the range he quoted me was very reasonable and he gave a breakdown of what his fees covered. I appreciated that he wanted to get a good idea of the size of the job so that he would bring enough staff to complete it in a timely manner. I bought a hoarder house that was FULL inside and out of junk/trash. This was a dirty job that was rat and flea infested. I found Big Blue Junk Removal on Yelp and they had great reviews. I texted the number and within a couple of minutes, I got a call from Luis. Not only was he able to get to my project quickly, he and his crew did a great job cleaning up the mess that the previous owners left behind. They didn't complain about how nasty the clean up was and they worked quickly. I think it's important to mention that he said he would come back the next morning to pick up the last few items. I wasn't able to be there so I paid him before he finished the job. He came back when he said he would and finished the job to my satisfaction. I can't say enough of how impressed I was with Brandon & his crew! All were professional, courteous & extremely hard working! I'm in the demolition stages of revamping my back yard & had accumulated a huge pile of metal from a dismantled pool & dead trees that had to be removed. I thought I'd call Big Blue & have to leave a message to schedule pickup next week as I was calling on Memorial weekend. To my surprise Brandon answered & said he'd be there with a truck in about 45 minutes. I was shocked! The huge pile was cleared out in about a half an hour & Brandon even took it upon himself to schedule a pickup of the remaining metal from the pool w/his metal subcontractor.
