When I go home to boil my crawfish they were so small that they were small to use for bait. I called SEAFOOD OUTLET before we boiled them. The clerk told me at 1pm they were closing and they would not take them back anyway. The owner would not come to phone and told clerk he would not talk to me. . All my guest left hungry and went out to eat easter dinner. This was a family event for my mother who had been in hospital for 4 months. It brought everyone togather, but everyone was displeased with crawfish so I got upset and went home without saying nothing. I called seafood outlet back again tuesday and the manager told me that the owner would not return my call. that I should not have bought the crawfish if I didn't like the size. They showed me one size and sold me trash that no one would buy for cooking becase they must be 40 to a lb. These crawfish were graded and they dumped the small ones for the price of grade, but these small crawfish should have escaped through the holes in the wire cages they were so small. I see dried shrimp for sale thats bigger than this. This was a three hundred dollar disaster thanks to SEAFOOD OUTLET IN THIBODAUX, CANAL BLVD for screwing up our family easter. But whatever his hours, I'm glad he's always in place when I need some of the scrumptious, succulent, jumbo sized shrimp. These shrimp are great sized for gumbo, BBQ shrimp, po-boy or whatever your shrimpy pleasure. I like that he's on the side of the road & accepts credit cards, debit cards etc; that's a plus because I just don't carry cash. Additionally, even though most times he's a one man operation, he gets the job done. I've seen a line 6 people deep & he managed to get it down without anyone complaining. He takes his time weighs them out, places them inside a bag, then rolls them in newspaper, several sheets thick, might I add. I've taken shrimp back home to New Orleans without even as much as a drop of 'shrimp juice' leaking out the bag & no shrimpy smell either. I'm impressed. This is my shrimp depot when I'm in the area.
