He was really so masterful in helping me find what I needed, get a great deal, have a custom hitch located and put on my Subaru (by his very conscientious shop guy who took extra care to route my wires so it wouldn't be a hassle for me), and taught me how to properly connect and manage my new trailer. I called to inquire about the specs/price and thanked them for the information. Within 20 minutes, a salesman named Craig Salma called me and did everything short of badgering me to buy. I told him I'd decided I wasn't comfortable with purchasing from a location that was over an hour away to which he began to extol the virtues of his customer service capabilities. I relented and had the product picked up by a friend who lived near the Ogden store in question. $1800 cash payment later, I would begin the worst customer service experience I've had to date. Upon arrival and inspection I noticed the latch to close the ramp wasn't welded on 2 of its four points. I contacted Craig immediately (within 2 hours) of pickup including the 1 hour drive time) and didn't hear back until the following day. As it was the middle of the work week I was unable to get the trailer back to them for repair and he was unwilling to have it picked up. Asking about a refund, he denied any option to do so. After several days of emails and phone calls where the words "Company Policy" and "beyond our control" was repeated, I ultimately convinced them to allow me to take it to a location 30 mins from my work ( requiring me to after take time off). The repair was done satisfactorily by the alternate location but at much expense to me in terms of time and money. In short: 1. The service is bad 2. Lip service is abundant 3. Product is not QA'd as it should 4. Warranty is on your dime and your time, 100%. If this is truly company policy, and not this salesman's shortfalls as a professional then the company should shut down. This is truly an instance that once they have your money, they make you squirm to get any level of service on a 2 hour old product. Craig continued to pat himself on the back for his efforts in the resolution via email but it was I who made all of the efforts in time, money and overall expense that made the product whole. Insult to injury? After 1.5 years, this trailer has another broken weld on a crossmember that bears no direct load from what's being hauled. Bad QA and a salty, salty lesson learned the hard way regarding Trailers Plus service, product and integrity. Seriously, avoid.

They tell you they will fix things and then do not relay it to service. Once you have a problem with something they do not return emails, or phone calls. I have to go in and ambush them to get any response at all. Now I am looking to get my 3rd temporary registration because they still haven't registered my trailer and I have a big camping trip coming up. So, I have to go out of my way to ambush them again and hope I get that temporary plate. I can't believe this place is still in business. Don't go in, don't by a trailer from them. They don't care about you; they just want your money.

I was really disappointing after paying out $3,500. I took it down to the dealer and they scheduled me for a leak test. On the day of the leak test I stood by and watched the young men. Their conclusion was that water is getting in at both rear right and left sides of the topper door latch areas and creeping down along the carpeted edges to the front corners. And in the kids words, "I will have to cut out all this carpet back here on the corners and it'll probably look like shit." I did not accept that answer or the 2 young men's finding. I directed them to put there hose on the front drivers side top corner area and side window of the topper to see if the intensity of the water drip would increase. It did increase so they lifted up the topper and packed a small amount of putty in the corners and set it back down and called it fixed. I was not at all impressed with their findings and or repair. I agreed to leave it at that. Wasn't worth my time to push for more leak testing and accept the comment, "Well that should do it and if not just bring it back," as I could see the lack of experience. Today (04/27/2024) we are experiencing more rain storms here in Utah and the topper continues to leak as indicated earlier. I do not believe these kids working at the Leer dealership are capable or experienced enough find leaks and or make repairs (Being brand new it should leak at all !!) With todays rain I went out with a flash light and paper towels and found that the water is leaking in through the lower perimeter and sides of the front window. My paper towel would also become damp when tamping it around the side windows. I am very disappointed with my purchase and am experiencing buyers remorse. I would expect to have talented and experienced personnel to make the repairs or have some kind of monetary compensation so I can make the repairs myself or seek out someone who can. The YouTube videos I have found on the quality of Leer toppers says it all. Found several videos with hundreds of negative comments with the quality of Leer toppers. If I knew then what I know now about the quality of Leer toppers......All I can do now is to share my experience. Leer toppers look nice but they are garbage.

They explained the pricing as follows: $75 deposit to confirm the visit, and a $175 flat fee for the first diagnostic hour -- which would only be charged if no repair was done. If a repair proceeded, that $175 would be fully applied to the repair cost. I paid the deposit and scheduled the visit in good faith. At the appointment, the mechanic -- Tyler, who also identified himself as the co-owner and said his father Jeff was his partner -- showed up clearly inexperienced. Per his own words, he had been fired on the spot from his previous mechanic job. He had no idea how to diagnose the issue. Instead, he fumbled around, calling friends and his dad, and flipping through the manual. This, after I was assured over the phone that they were qualified for this exact issue. When I asked what was going on, Tyler admitted: "I can't figure it out. I'll refund you the $75 because I can't fix it." But he didn't just fail -- he left my boat in worse condition than when he arrived, with tampered and potentially damaged electrical systems. I'm now considering legal action for financial loss and emotional stress. Then came the final insult: they sent me a $750 invoice -- despite Tyler's clear promise not to charge me and to refund the deposit. I followed up and spoke with him again. He told me he'd "have accounting reach out to fix it," but no one ever followed up. After more ignored calls, I finally reached someone by phone -- whom I believe was Jeff, based on what Tyler told me (that Jeff is his father and co-owner). That person told me they would take me to court if I didn't pay. This company misrepresented their capabilities, broke their word, possibly damaged my boat, and tried to bill me for hundreds of dollars after delivering no legitimate service. Stay far away from this business. What I experienced wasn't just incompetence -- it was deceptive, disorganized, and potentially predatory.
