The big issues we had and HAVE had with Holly Hill is the management. My husband and I and our roommate decided to move out before our lease was up but continue to pay our rent until the lease was done due to non-related circumstances. Us moving out had nothing to do with the condition of the apartment or complex. but when I tried to contact the land lady named *Gaby* I was never able to get ahold of her. I called the office multiple times and the receptionist always told me she would call me back or email me and it took about 1 1/2 months for her to eventually respond to an email. NOT OKAY. Once we moved out and the lease had finished we got a statement in the mail saying we failed to pay our last months rent and wouldn't receive our security deposit back. Around $670. But we had paid our last months rent and sent them bank statements showing them proof. I asked how could they have misplaced our checks and the manager *crystal* said either I didn't pay or they had lost our checks or charged them to another tenants account. Not sure which one it was but we had paid. After we emailed them our bank statements I received a check in the mail, but it wasn't the full amount we were supposed to be refunded, so I emailed the manager saying money was still being withheld from us and that i needed to have answers. 2 1/2 weeks later (today) I email crystal again and said I needed an answer by the end of the week as to where our money was and she replies saying they had shipped us a check and that it should have been delivered. I walked outside and found a failed delivery receipt outside in a bush saying they had attempted to delivery the letter but no one was home to sign for it. If the manager had told us they sent the check and that it needed to be signed, we would have planned to be home at that time. But no, everything with the management of these apartments is complicated, sketchy and unreliable. The apartments are fine but the experience we have had with the management has been through the roof terrible. not worth the apartments.

This place is going downhill we were promised to get the outside power washed but still waiting for…read morethat looks like a horror movie where the staircases are the Halloween decor is already there. We pay for exterminator monthly fee but he does a horrible job. furnitures sits outside the dumpster for months. Saw a dead mice other day yikes! Can't wait for my lease to be up! Dogs walk freely without a leash here. Nothing being done about these stray cats that scratches your car! Maintenance men barely knocks and walks right in had someone today not even acknowledge themselves while I working from home no manners at all pushed the fire alarm checked only one alarm not the second how rude and he speeds in the parking lot like he's on a mission! Last but not least New management is horrible her name now is Chris she talks over you and hangs up in your face very disrespectful. Harasses visitors threatening to call the police on them during visiting hours can we say psycho ? Hope we get a better nicer respectable professional landlord this like the 4th one this year. Look elsewhere not worth it!

I have lived at Southgate Garden Apartments in Thomasville for almost 4 years. I love it here…read more It's quiet, people are friendly, property is generally neat. But I want to give a special, huge thank you to manager Karen Hill and Lou, maintenance person. They are so quick to respond to requests and needs. Recently my drier died. Before I replaced it Lou came to clean out the vent line and discovered problems in the line. He and Karen worked tirelessly and kept checking in to make sure all was working after repairs were done. Had a sewer bill that was so high that know one wanted to do anything about in the 2 1/2 years i paid over 2000 for just the sewer so i had to save so i could finally move and now they are trying to say i still over a 900 bill because they had the meter checked and there was no problem REALLY i dont even know anyone with a sewer bill over 40 a month and mine was 125 plus . This is the worse place to live .!
