Apparently the tiny little thing had wandered into the store from the trailer park next door. The store workers had been unable to catch her and told my stepmom that if she could catch her, she could have her. That is how we ended up with the newest member of our family - Miss Ingles. She is just the cutest little tiger striped thing I have ever met. She made my trip home for the holidays this year much more delightful. As for the store itself, in addition to their selection of kittens, they also have a fabulous selection of groceries. Now that I have been living in San Francisco for so long, I just wander the aisles marveling at all the choices every time I come here. Every thing always seems insanely cheap to me too. The box of grits that cost me over 5 bucks and was impossible to find in San Francisco costs less than half the price here. The cashiers, usually teenagers, are always really friendly. I enjoy hearing their accents when they say things like - do you want the bags in the BUGGY or do you want to carry them out? My fiance has been giving me hell for my use of the word buggy for several years now, so I feel comforted on my trips to the homeland when I realize that I am neither alone nor crazy. Well, I might be crazy, but it ain't for my use of the word buggy!

I got some sushi, grilled Markel, and chicken fried rice from the korean section. In the butcher section, I got pork belly, goat, lamb, chicken wings, and pork shoulder. All the food was amazing.

I purchased a pack of tofu along with some other items on March 11. I open the fridge a few days later on March 15, finally ready to prepare the tofu, just to see that the exp date on the pack was March 10. This picture was taken March 15 upon this discovery. I meant to update this review a while ago. I just can't spend money here anymore knowing that I'm liable to accidentally purchase old products. As customers, we should not have to be this vigilant at a grocery store... it's ridiculous.

Exceptional Service & True Southern Hospitality!!!…read more I am writing to share how absolutely incredible my recent experiences have been at this Publix. I have been visiting various locations throughout the years, but this particular store is hands down the best I have ever been to. The stock is consistently impressive, but what truly sets this location apart is its exceptional team. A Prompt & Professional Start with Paul Ahead of the busy 4th of July weekend, I filled out an online form to check on a specific item's availability. I was blown away by how promptly Paul called me back. He was incredibly professional, polite, and provided true Southern hospitality right over the phone. I was calling about fresh oysters. An Unforgettable Deli Experience with Desmond On July 3rd around 4:00 PM, I visited the deli counter specifically to try Publix's famous fried chicken for the very first time. I admitted this to Desmond with a mix of excitement and slight embarrassment. His face completely lit up, and he warmly exclaimed, "Really?!" He made me feel instantly welcome and took the time to enthusiastically explain all my options, including the family meals. The entire deli display looked impeccably fresh and delicious. I ultimately went with just the chicken though I deeply regret not getting the full meal, because when I got home and took a bite, it was flawlessly crispy and delicious! Desmond's extraordinary professionalism and warmth made a massive grocery store feel like a cozy, family run neighborhood institution. Publix is incredibly lucky to have such an exceptional talent on their team. Fantastic Leadership from Trey I later called the store to share this positive feedback and spoke with Trey. He was so down to earth and genuinely kind. It is abundantly clear that he is a fantastic leader. Despite it being an incredibly hectic holiday weekend, the entire team looked genuinely happy, enthusiastic, and maintained a wonderful attitude throughout the rush. Flawless Customer Experience To top it all off, I returned on Sunday, July 5th, to return a hat that unfortunately didn't fit that I purchased earlier in the week. The Customer Experience team was incredibly sweet when I called ahead, and just as wonderful in person. The return process was swift, seamless, and I was easily able to make another purchase before leaving. I truly recognize great talent and exceptional customer service when I see it, and this team knocks it out of the park. I cannot wait to return. Thank you so much, Publix!

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. And multiple times too…read more I called the bakery to have this Publix make my wedding cake. I live in Canton, Georgia, but we decided to get married at a fancy AirBnB on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia. We were going to cater (apps, food, cake, flowers) the entire wedding through Publix. The key word here was "were." I went to my local Canton Publix and got their specialty cake brochure and talked to the bakery about options. My Canton Publix was fantastic and excited, saying they could pretty much make whatever my heart desired. We told them that we love one of their already-discovered creation under their Decadent Dessert menu called the Strawberry Limonada cake. It came in an 8 inch and we were hoping they could do a 10 inch and and 8 inch and stack them. The Canton Publix said absolutely. When we called the Eatonton Publix, we were not treated with such grace and excitement. They acted like I was a nuisance to call and made me feel guilty to even ask for them to bake me a cake. I am pretty sure I was about to drop a lot of money at this Publix so you can imagine my disappointment. They first told me they could only do the Strawberry Limonada cake in an 8 inch and that we could only order from the specialty cakes brochure. OK, that is fine. I understand their limitations. I called back the next day with an order that fit within their brochure parameters...white cake with raspberry filling. They then told me they cannot do the following things: - Stack cakes. - Make any cake other than an 8 inch or sheet cake. - Make a cake with any filling...period. They also told me all this with a sense of yelling and angst. And they cannot even fulfill one specialty cake that their brochure says they can do. So we called corporate and told them about our experience and decided to remove our complete catering order. They did not deserve our business or money. Instead of rating this Publix as a one star, I opted for a two star because we still got just my bouquet and a veggie tray from them and they worked out great. If you read other reviews on this Publix, you will read similar stories about the personnel in the bakery. It sounds like it is time for a change in that department. I urge you to not use this Publix if planning a wedding. They will take your happy and excited mood and turn it sour.

We moved to Forsyth in July 2021…read more Ingles is a grocery store. It is one of only two choices in Forsyth for grocery walk-in. Walmart is the other choice. Ingles uses a reward based signup system for discounts. If you have an out of state area code be prepared for it to not work properly if you just use your phone number instead of carrying the rewards card. They signed me up each time I went because their system is incapable of finding areas code not specific to Georgia. Their system thinks you belong to another Ingles market and just doesn't find you. The manager finally let me know the error or I would have had a 4th card number. They also won't use a store based courtesy card to just move the process along. Any other grocery store I've been to can do that, but apparently not Ingles. The parking lots and the store is clean. They have helpful employees when finding things. Their prices on most things are 20%-50% more than can be found elsewhere. You can attempt to justify that increased price range however you like in your mind. But that adds up real fast to additional money out of pocket. I simply go to Ingles only as a last resort. I choose Walmart, or driving over to Macon to have a much broader grocery and pricing options.
