Update: 06-05-19 Tonight was the first time in a while that the service was good and the food order came out right and on time. We kept going back every few months but began to lose faith. After tonight and if they continue with good service & fresh cooked wings, we'll keep coming back! One thing they could change is lower the tv volume some. Lol Love their traditional wings! Great experience with both crawfish and wings, all our food was very good. I've been to all the competition around the area and it was worth the visit. I have an allergy and they made special fresh water crawfish, which not everyone does. Both the server and manager were friendly and helpful. Will go again soon! read more

My friend and I dropped in for lunch after a hair appt in the same shopping center. We were given a friendly greeting by Chase and seated, as this was our first time for both of us he went over the menu. We both picked the Chicken wings off the lunch menu. I ended up at Big City Wings on accident, actually. I forgot that BWW had moved to the new location, and I wanted to watch a game. I gave it a chance anyway (let's be honest, the food can't get worse than BWW), and I thought maybe the new restaurant preserved the atmosphere and upgraded the food. I was right! That's exactly what happened. I met a bartender named Heather, and she was wonderful. She helped me through the menu, had great suggestions, and walked me through the drink specials. She was attentive and helpful throughout the experience, and the food was fantastic! The manager walked around and checked on everyone too. YUCK-Terrible crawfish! Tried it last weekend and got the worst crawfish we've ever eaten. We used to come here every Friday during crawfish season when it was Sammy's. Boiled normal, but tossed in butter and dry Ranch dressing? Gross! No sausage and they didn't know how to serve in a bucket. We walked away after paying and not eating....and went to Crabby Daddy's for normal crawfish. Do not waste your time on crawfish here! You will be disappointed with service too. We came on a slow Monday night and waited 45 minutes for our food to come out completely wrong and cold. We decided to leave and not eat a single bite of food as everything was cold and bad. The tater tots were over cooked and hard as a rock, the wings were wrong and cold, but the server Makayla was amazing! No way this restaurant is legitimate. We have six people sitting at a table now with six terrible meals. We waited 45 minutes in an empty restaurant on a Monday night and received a bunch of incorrect and cold orders. The manager came over with jokes and said "he knows who's butt to kick", but he did zero to try and keep our business. We've requested to pay for drinks so we can go get dinner elsewhere. The waitress is very nice and personable, but told us the main manager and GM are in the restaurant currently and this is what's going on. Our waitress said it's her first day working here, no training at all, doesn't know the menu, is just thrown to the wolves. We came to this location to watch the game and eat some wings. We left knowing we found OUR SPOT. The service was amazing. The manager came and check in on us to explain that the food was taking longer than normal and to apologize, but truth is, we hadn't even noticed or thought our food was taking a while. The atmosphere is inviting and you can see the TVs from anywhere in the restaurant. Once our food arrived, we were not disappointed. The wings were delicious. The waffle fries had the right seasoning. Our kids did chicken tenders and waffles and they ate it all. We also got the honeybun burger - and let me tell you, I do not regret my choices. My girlfriend and I are new to the area and are definitely foodies. With the holidays just passing we were burnt out on the typical Thanksgiving leftovers. She suggested wings but wanted somewhere new to try. We used our trusty Yelp app and discovered Big City Wings. We were pleasantly surprised needless to say. The wings were fried just right and the sauces we had were seasoned to perfection. We liked the option of trying a different sauce on each wing and of course the option of flats or drums. The only complaint we had is there is no weekly special on bone in wings just the boneless wings. The sides were hot and fresh and a good selection. OMG. We come here at least once a week. We came tonight. We had bad service and the worst manager. Delay in food and not what was ordered. There is nobody in the bar and the manager told us that the delay in our food and the fact that the server did not get the order right, provide menus, silverware, napkins, etc., was due to staffing issues. Good food bad service. My wings literally came out without sauce. I ordered Buffalo sauce and my wings came out without sauce just a crunchy shell. Then I asked him for some on the side. He brought out butter. Legit melted butter. I asked him what flavor these wings are and he said "butter sauce" I looked at the menu to find that butter sauce is not even a choice I don't know what planet my waiter/waitress (we couldn't tell) was on. The manager let us in the outdoor patio since we brought our dog and was very welcoming. On saturday, February 9th, we went to Big City Wings at at 7620 Katy Freeway in Houston to have dinner and watch the Rockets game. To start with we ordered a basket of wings with three flavours, and the Dumpster Fries, with sour cream and avocado on the side, and no BBQ sauce. Our server was a young guy, and I believe it was his first day on the job and he was a bit nervous. He wrote down our order, and repeated it back to us to make sure he had it right. The food was delivered by someone else, and we immediately noticed that we were missing the side of sour cream. The person whom dropped off the food said they would go get it, but they never came back. The 'dry rub' wings were swimming in a basket of oil or butter, I'm not sure what it was; I had to drain them and move them to the cutlery basket. Then we noticed that we had received two of the same types of wings, but didn't get the third flavour. As they had showed up in three separate baskets, it should gave the appearance that our server had in fact put through an order for three different flavours, but the kitchen messed up. We hadn't seen our server in a while, so we stopped someone else and asked for help getting the correct flavour of wing. They never returned. Then we asked to see a manager. Nothing. We asked two mores times, but the manager never showed up at our table to find out what the problem was. Our server eventually came back, and was a bit shaken. He told us that he had just been taken off all tables because he was messing things up so bad. When we eventually got our bill the food had been reversed off, and we had to pay for the drinks only. We paid and left to another pub to finish watching the game, as our experience was so terrible we wanted out of there. I am writing this because I think Big City Wings needs to take a look at their management practices at that location. My terrible experience was not all the fault of this young kid, who was very polite and trying his best. It was my impression that the support he was receiving was ZERO; the person whom delivered the food messed up, the other servers/runners would say they would help, but nothing ever came of it. The dry wings were disgusting, and I suspect it was the kitchen that messed up the wing order, not the server. And management couldn't take two minutes to come over and ask me what the problem was, even after three separate requests. A little customer service and attention goes a long way, as does understanding what the root cause of a bad experience is... not just handing me a bill with the food taken off and firing the new kid. BTW - I tried to send this information through the BigCityWings contact page and also the review page, both of which failed with an unknown error. i also tried to email the advertised email info@bigcitywings.com, which bounced back. My first time eating here and I can say I will not be eating here anymore. First off, I order an 10 piece chipotle bbq wings and sweet potato fries and I can say the chicken was very cold and tuff, they tasted like they were cooked five hours before I got there and they just stuck them in the plate. I had never eaten here before so I decided to get the sampler appetizer which came with fries, wings, fried pickles, fried cheese and fried Mac n cheese as well as a meal of the adult grilled cheese and I selected macaroni and cheese as my side. First, the wings had zero sauce on them. Not one drop. Totally flavorless. The fried pickles were a great size but the flavor of the batter was really sweet and didn't go well with the sour of the pickle. The marinara that came with the fried cheese tasted like straight onion. The fried macaroni and cheese was pretty flavorless. The adult grilled cheese was decent but the side of macaroni and cheese was actually just more fried Mac n cheese (which was not mentioned on the menu) so that wasn't at all what I thought I was ordering.
