Sometimes service is exceptional but today November 15 @ 7:12pm I had the worst experience with the cashier "Hector", no greeting, not helpful, didn't talk to me, didn't ask me reward number I had to volunteer it, placed my receipt and reward card on the counter. Just unfriendly, unapproachable, not customer friendly. If I didn't know how friendly the other employees were I would think some other things. So this is my 3rd coming but this time my experience was not the best. So the guy who rung me up wasn't polite. I purchased my items and the guy took my receipt and crumbled it up in my face. I was shocked. I collect receptacle so him not even asking me if I wanted it was unacceptable. So then I point at one of the signs that says no receipt? Call for reward. Then he uncrumbles the receipt instead of printing a new one and hands it to me. The customer service was horrible and I always have a better experience at Winn-Dixie liquor store anyways so I won't be coming back. read more

My review is limited to what I am looking for when I go to a liquor store - craft beer selection and a good location. This is a store in a lower rent area (some people call the area a dump, but I don't think it's that bad), so the selection is more geared toward that kind of a customer base. They do have some craft beer, and if you're just looking for the standard brands you could get at the Publix down the street, this store can definitely help you. But I was looking for some pretty specific stuff. One of the employees was nice enough to refer me to a much bigger outlet in Coconut Grove. It was a pretty long drive but turned out to be worth it. So to sum up, if you're looking for the basics, this place will probably be suitable. I can't speak to the prices because I didn't buy anything. The gentleman who helped me was patient and polite. The location is easy in, easy out, with its own parking lot. So for those limited purposes, I'd say the place is fine. read more

Hey this place is kind of a crappy area but since they got rid of the lotto machine apparently thefts have gone down exponentially. Not sure what this means as I was also looking for a lotto ticket while in there.... The staff here are pretty nice and very watchful. They might be watching you to make sure you don't steal that Ciroc, but i guess they get the benefit of the doubt. Big Daddy's is great if you are: An Alchie - they have an extremely large selection of cheap stuff and offer discount points with your big daddy's card purchases. A cheap ass - they have an inordinate selection of airplane bottles so you can smuggle hooch into your favorite game, concert, or club. Or if you just like airplane bottles. On biscayne and need hooch since Walgreens Liquors is closed. Otherwise this area is SHADY but it is open almost all the time. Don't ask how I know this.... read more

Unreliable. Placed an order on Drizly two days in advance, and after missing the delivery window by two hours I called to ask what was going on. The first associate claimed the order wasn't in their system, then claimed it was cancelled, and then claimed I would need to resubmit the order. She then passed the phone to another associate who found the order in like 30 seconds, submitted on my end and unfulfilled on their end. Profoundly trash customer service. read more

The attendants here really try their best to be helpful (same with the one on Harding and 95th). It's a neighborhood liquor store and feels like one too. I wish their tequila selection was a bit better, but that's tough to find in general. I prefer Total Wines' variety, but I always get distracted there -- Big Daddy's has more of an in-and-out convenience. Oh, they have this customer card - for every $50 you spend, you get a stamp on the card - and if you get 10 stamps (which, let's face it, I'll get there eventually), you get a gift card for a meal at Flannigan's. read more

So I have to say this is my "go to" liquor store! I particularly love going here because of the guys that work at night. Specifically Maurice! That's our guy! He's always introducing us to new products, makes sure we are taken care of and when able even walks our purchases to our car! Super nice guy and so personable. He basically knows my whole family now because he makes a point to. I'll never go anywhere else. If I ever had to move I think I would drive out of my way. It was my easy, neighborhood liquor store until one night. They offer the window service at night, but the area is so sketchy, and you don't want to be out there for a long time while the guy who works at the window has long conversations with his friends. If you politely ask him to "speed it up", because you're a little frightened out there, you will be told to, "go somewhere else if you don't like it", you will also be ridiculed in front of the other customers in line about your culture and heritage. I haven't been back since. It was one of those AWFUL experiences that make you NEVER return to a place. It was so convenient, now, I go out of my way to get what I need because the service I received that night was enough to make me NEVER return. read more

This place was the only location I used a certain credit card on a recent trip to Miami and someone has been on a shopping spree in Miami ever since. i really like this place when i first came in i look lost. The guy there was really friendly and helpful. He help me pick out a going away gift for one of my former co workers. So he recommend that i give him a bottle of portrican rum, which turn out to be made in the city that my coworker was born in. 8600 Biscayne Blvd Big Daddys was where we used to PARTY back in the Day from 78 to 82. I went to Big Daddys as a junior in High School for the first time. The DJ back in the DAY was Frankie Hollywood, when times were simple and all we wanted to do is to dance all night and have fun. This was well before SOUTH BEACH. High School and College students would travel from Savannah GA, Tallahassee, Jacskonville, Gainsville, Orlando, West Palm, Naples and Lauderdale to JAM to Frankie Hollywood every weekend, FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY. He would play the long version of "Aint no stoppin us now" and we would not leave the floor. We would be trenching wet in our new out fits we spent out last dime on. This place should be a historical landmark on Biscayne Blvd. Those were the days and I'm glad to see that the facility is still standing. I'm finishing up a 30 year career in the US Army, currently in Afghanistan and I often think of how much fun we had just hanging out in the parking lot of 8600 Biscayne Blvd, 3AM, 4AM, 5AM and 6AM. I give it five stars for making my high school days the very best of living and hanging out in Lauderdale/MIAMI back in the DAY. When I get back I will go by and take a picture of BIG DADDY'S that will always have a place in my HEART. Thanks BIG DADDY for so many memories, keep going strong.
