This is such a gem! This is a liquor store that has a bar. The ambiance and customer service was amazing! The inside has a speakeasy vibe or somewhere super cool from decades past. The music was also. super cool! I got to try out a couple of wines before buying and that was seriously the most genius idea ever. I intended to purchase one bottle of wine but walked away with three. The bar is very pocket friendly. Two drinks ended up totaling to about $13 given that it was happy hour. They also have a delivery option which is always a plus. I definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back here during my next Miami visit. read more

This place is empty as the staff hangs out at the bar top. Came in to try some cocktails and I saw the menu and 2 out of the 3 drinks that I wanted to order they were o it of ingredients. The bartender seemed to be fairly new at bartending at this business. She didn't know what ingredients were in the cocktails. Shortly after I settled on something she went on her phone for a recipe online as she mentioned. Once she put the shaker together it all made sense as she appeared to have never used a shaker. The liquid was coming out as it wasn't properly sealed before shaking. Once she was done she tasted it with the bar spoon that she inserted into her mouth. She added more of one ingredient and then used same said bar spoon to stir the cocktail in the shaker. She repeated this once more with another ingredient and bar spoon. This whole experience was about 10 minutes and she still had other cocktails to make for my group. Not sure what the Food Handling Certification is like in Miami but I would say this experience was unsanitary. read more

We picked up a bottle of 2010 Grand Riserva Rioja bottle for a reasonable priced. Will be back when we in need of wine while in town. UH OH!! this is a dangerous business to have soooo close by! this liquor (& cigar) store, a little hidden gem just off Brickell, has changed names and management several times but something tells me that this time things are different! the ownership/management are all so friendly, well-informed on their stock (and their craft) and so accommodating & helpful - they'll take the time to talk to you, make recommendations, even stock certain items if the demand is there and you request it. I'm thrilled that they are actually putting effort into making the business a success with their EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff, their tastings every other week (varying from wine to tequila to vodka), and promoting themselves with an email mailing list. not only do they have an surprisingly decent and varied selection of liquor, beer, and wine available in the store - surprisingly good considering the smaller size of the store - but they also have very reasonable prices as well as a good sized cigar selection (& cigarettes too). there is also outdoor seating, so should you wanna stay and hang out a while, you could....and I'll tell you (between the beverages, the cigars, and the staff), you just might want to!! read more

At this place, the evening always starts off like this and it couldn't be anymore simple. I walk by it with my boyfriend and say, "Hey, let's go in for one drink." He nods his head yes and we walk in. You know what we just did there? We fucking lied to ourselves. A straight up lie in every word. Why? Because you can't just have one drink here. It's damn near impossible and I'll explain to you why. First off, cocktails. They've got cocktails and they are good. Are they extremely fancy? Nope. But they'll get the job done nicely and you'll enjoy every sip. What's even better is that you won't be paying Brickell prices. Who can complain when you're getting quality ingredients and alcohol at a reasonable price? Serve me another, bartender. Secondly, the people who work here are just friendly and easy to get along with, from the owners to the staff. They want you to enjoy your drinks and your time at their bar. Wow! I really like the addition of Aficionado in Brickell. They have an incredible selection organized in a very inviting layout which guarantees your purchase. I've never been here when it's crowded (maybe it's because it recently opened) so the cashier has been very attentive in all occasions. I would say the prices are inflated by 15-20% compared to liquor stores outside of Brickell but that's probably because Brickell is just pricier. I honestly love the convenience of not driving anywhere but if you are driving, you may find street parking since Aficionado is not around Mary Brickell Village. Regular tastings and events make this place a hidden gem in Brickell, not to mention the great cocktails, The staff is wonderful, Eddie, Ryan, and Isa, always make me feel welcome and taken care of, they put up with my drunken antics and are quick to recommend a drink or grab "the usual" The selection is absolutely nuts they have all types of wines, liquors, and spirits, i mean stuff you'll be hard pressed to find at other stores in the area. Visiting the family in South Florida and decided to try a local spot that my friends recommended. Much to my surprise this isn't your standard bar. Beer, liquor, wine, cigars, chill people. This place had a great vibe. They got a great selection of drinks to choose from and I can only imagine coming here hundreds of times before I get even close to trying everything. I was served by a bartender named Esmeralda and let me tell you, besides the fact that her name is freakin awesome, (I mean c'mon that's a hell of an exotic name right?) this gorgeous bombshell can make a bomb ass drink! I told her to mix me whatever her favorite drink was that night and she whipped up something she called the "Blackberry Bliss." Yeah yeah I dig fruity drinks too get over it, this thing was straight fire. I've seen a few other reviews on this page mention Esmeralda and now I can easily understand why. She was really chill, had great recommendations, and was just a pleasure to deal with. And she looks stunning. Don't just take my word for it, you'll see! I hope to see her again if I ever go back down there. She wasn't the only employee there that was awesome either. I also met a gentleman by the name of Steve and man, this dude knows his liquor! I asked his opinion on what kind of bourbon he recommended and he went straight into expert mode. Whether you want a scotch, a rye, or whatever have you, this dude knows his whiskeys. You'll never go wrong with anything he recommends. All in all, Aficionado's is an amazing spot to hang out at. Their selection is huge and their staff is top notch! I could have used PostMates to desperately deliver a bottle of tequila, but I went with Aficionado's in-house delivery service instead. It was extremely easy, you can do everything online so you don't have to guess or figure out whats available. They have a good range of options and prices. My choice of poison was unfortunately out, so they offered me an upgrade for the same price - SCORE! (which arrived in 30 mins). I'm going to start off by saying that I love the decor, but that's where the positives end. It is actually a cigar lounge in which you cannot smoke and the outdoor seating consists of uncomfortable, metal stools. Since we had already paid for parking, we decided to stay and have lunch. There were no free refills for soft drinks. The burger and steak were extremely undercooked and when mentioned to the waitress, she barely acknowledged it. When she handed us the bill and all she said was, "sorry about that whole burger thing," as a weak attempt to preserve her tip. We paid and left, and will not be returning. read more
