I got a basic car wash here which cost $13. I like that they have a prep station so I could wash off some of the sticky sap that had fallen on my car prior. The car wash was quick. I wish it got more soapy, though. It did a decent job of cleaning the car but there were still spots that had some sap left despite pre-cleaning it and going through the car wash. The vacuum afterwards was powerful and worked well. They had lots of rags to wipe your car but I didn't see any spray bottles with window or interior solution. They have a floor mat cleaner, which is always great to use. read more

They put scratches down both sides of my truck and would not pay to fix it. It is going to cost me $700 to have the scratches buffed out. There is video of the truck in front of me that had red clay mud caked on the side of it, but they would not let me see it or have a copy of it because it would confirm what I'm claiming. Been coming here since they opened up this location. My buddy raved about this place and I came to see what the fuss was about. They have a pre washing station before you pay or register your membership. ( they have month memberships for those who love getting car washes) quick and easy washing/rinsing/waxing/dressing tires. The final blow off is pretty good. They also have car ports to get those books and crannies cleaned or fired off so your car can look great. Today they came around and gave us bottled water with some air fresheners. Something a lot of business can stand to learn about when it comes to customer service. See ya next time! read more

I wanted so much to love this car wash! I love that they have window cleaner and interior cleaner and towels to use. I upgraded to the most expensive wash at the of the person standing at kiosk. added an extra wax and buffed in at the end. Whatever that wax was left spots all over my car not every part of my car got cleaned and there is a film on my windshield that is smear. Even my windshield wiper fluid can't get it off. Went to Big Dans while in town for a wedding 11/9 . Wanted my brand new truck to be fresh and clean and Dans looked like a nice place. While exiting the wash I approached the gate ,it came up and 1/2 way through the arm slammed down on the windshield breaking it. I went in using a free carwash card. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I found a residue on my car after washing it. I was advised that was build-up and to use the self-wah and then they let me run it through the automatic carwash again. Definitely recommend this business! read more

I love coming here. They have a "prep station" to loosen up bugs and dirt prior to the wash if it's been while since your last wash or you have some stubborn areas, that's a nice touch! Also, there are plenty of detailing stations available with plenty of supplies and working vacuums, compressed air, microfiber cloths, mat cleaners, etc. They are a bit pricier than other car washes but if they keep up with the quality of their product and cleanliness of the facilities I'm happy to pay the higher prices. I've been to too many car washes where things get off to a great start when they first open, then it all goes downhill after a few months. Keep up the good work Big Dan's! read more

On Saturday, March 11 2024, I decided to use the new Big Dan's Car Wash on Big A Road in Toccoa Georgia to clean my truck. As I approached the payment gates, an employee came over to perform the wash selection screen interaction for me. Once payment was made, I move to approach the car wash entrance where a second employee guided me into the lane and then sprayed the front of the vehicle with water. As the rollers began to push my truck into the wash, the system malfunctioned and stopped, and the truck rolled backwards. At this time, I ensured my hands and feet were not on or near the steering wheel or brake. The system stopped and the truck rolled backward 3 or 4 times before finally the truck continued through the wash. The car wash completed, and I exited the tunnel and drove over to the vacuums to clean the inside of the truck. When getting the vacuum from the holder, I found the car wash had ripped lights off my front bumper. At this time, I asked an employee to come over and look at the damage at which time he asked Tanner to come over to help. Tanner identified himself as the local owner of that Big Dan's location. Tanner looked at the front of the truck and acknowledged the damage. He then stated, "If the employee had been doing their job, you would have not been allowed into the carwash". This statement is a statement of negligence of either the employees not preforming their duties or poor training. In either case, there is clear acceptance of responsibility. After 4 days, I called Big Dan's to get the results of Tanner's review. Now his position of responsibility changed, and he accepted no responsibility for the damage. My issue with this outcome is: 1. Big Dan's employees should have not allowed my vehicle in the carwash. Two employees actively assisted. 2. Tanner accepted responsibility by volunteering the expectations of the employees as vehicles enter the carwash. 3. The equipment clearly malfunctioned and didn't shutdown when the vehicle progress through the tunnel was stopped and restarted multiple times. The employees again should be monitoring the carwash and addressing issues while vehicles are in the carwash. This was not the first automated carwash my truck had been through. I have used Bulldog Carwash, 1312 Big A Road, more times that I can count without any issue and always satisfied with the wash results. I was at the carwash on Thurs, June 27th when my 2020 Audi Q5 was severely scratched in SEVERAL places. I immediately reported it, completed an incident report and the shift manager took several photos and said the owner would contact me within 24-48 hrs assuring me it would be taken care of. They all acknowledged that the scratches appeared to be a brush malfunctioning and a part must have popped off to scratch it so badly. I have yet to hear from the owner. Woodstock, GA location. I have given this business three chances, and each time the service and wash quality got worse. I washed my van there yesterday, then rewashed it with cloths and their weak "window cleaner" at the vacuum bay. Today we tried to wash my husbands truck, which was not very dirty or muddy. It came out looking like it had just been wet, nothing was clean, nothing had been washed. I asked the person who seemed in charge what the problem was with the equipment, why hadn't it washed the vehicle. He told me we should have washed it first at the bays "over there"! No apology, nor offer to make it right. The person next to us with a small SUV made the same complaint. Too bad this place is so bad, it's on my way home every day! read more

I used Big Dan's Car Wash during the first two weeks it was open. Staff was courteous and I immediately signed up for a membership. I liked the location. Keep in mind there are 3 other new car washes within a mile of my house. My "free" car wash ended up costing me $450 due to damage to the high mount 3rd brake light on my Lincoln MKX. The wash is new, and I thought adjustments were probably being made to some of their machines and brushes. The lens was found in the car wash tunnel. Management stated they would review the cameras to see what happened and I completed an incident report. The manager on duty told me to be proactive and go ahead and get a couple of quotes for repair. To repair the brake light, the entire unit must be replaced. Cost of the part $280; labor $130. I provided the quotes to Big Dan's and they declined paying for any part of the repair. They did offer to extend my memberships for the amount of repair. I was also told, since my car was over 5 years old, there is no way to know if the light had previous damage. The car did not have any damage. We asked them (District Manager) to review the picture taken of my license plate when I entered the wash to verify if there was or was not prior damage. We have not heard from back from Big Dan's. After they denied help to pay for the damage, I believe they were done with the matter and did not want to engage in further discussion. Since my experience, I have done additional research on the known complaints. I suggest you be a good consumer and do the same. Take a look at their Limitation of Liability:" Big Dan's Car Wash shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our services. This includes but is not limited to, any damage to the vehicle, loss of personal property, or any other damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services." I get it Big Dan's, you are not responsible for anything - even if you possibly are. My thought is do the right thing by the customer. If you can see the car did not have previous damage, help the consumer out, even if you help to split the difference of cost. I will say the associates we dealt with were sorry for our bad experience but their hands were tied. We cancelled both memberships and took our business to another car wash. I'm encouraging neighbors, friends and co-workers to not support this particular business. read more

To be fair, the car wash has always done a good job on my car. However, a month after signing up for the "Unlimited" $17.99/month deal - they Cx'd that "Unlimited" aspect of the program. However, now they had my CC # and authorization to charge the monthly fee so they kept charging - a month in advance, the $17.99 monthly without asking or offering a way to get out of the program. What a scam - finally had to inform my CC company not to accept any further chargers from this place. A real shame they used these "bait & switch" tactics. Thinking that Dan's would be a good alternative to a local competitor I normally use, I was wrong. The first time I visited Dan's, I wasn't particularly impressed with the overall wash, so I went back to the car wash I've used for years and there was a big difference in the amount of cleaning products they use in the wash cycle. Today, I tried Dan's again and paid $17 for a wash and when I got home, I noticed that my tailgate and rear of truck looked like it had never been washed. The same went for the front grill area. I used the Ridgewalk Parkway car wash, and this was my first experience with this company. Since my car needed a good wash and wax, I bought the $25 wash. A drop of soap was used, brushed never touched the car, and it wasn't dried. My inspection showed it was dirty after going through. I had the booth operator look at it. He had me wait while he talked with the person that guides the cars in. By this time, I asked to speak to the manager. She was not much older, if at all, that the others. Well, she said to run it through again. I was then behind 5 cars to go again. During all of this there was not one smile, and not one apology. I was treated, if anything, like an inconvenience. NOONE THERE SEEMS COMPETENT OR FRIENDLY! I live very close to the one that is opening on Highway 92, but now I may return to my previous one, though it's further away.
