17th hole on the course at sunset
    Sienna S.

This was my first time at Big Dons. The staff were very friendly and the location during sunset is quite pretty. We came for mini golf it's $10/person and there are 18 holes. Some holes have a fun wheel you can spin to make each hole more interesting. For example one of our prompts was to stand on one leg for the first shot. Overall it was a pretty fast game, the holes were pretty short and there weren't too many obstacles. Not sure if we'd return, but it was fun for the one time!

Great place for a fun day with the kids. Mini golf is only one of the many activities.

Big Don's Wild River is an adventure! You can find Big Don's Wild River on an unassuming stretch of Route 31. In stepping onto the course, your transported from suburbia to backcountry. You'll hear the roar of a waterfall and the babble of a brook... and animal noises; lots of animal noises. Hiding in the bushes is a veritable menagerie: lions, bears, frogs, crickets, coyotes, moose, loons, and other ambiguously animal-sounding animals. The landscaping is detailed and well-kept, like a high-end amusement park: bridges take you across Big Don's many Wild Rivers, and animal statuary greet you at every turn. It's an over-the-top miniature golf wonderland. As for the mini-golfing itself, it's fun! There's never a boring hole, thanks to each featuring a variety of features (ramps, pipes, roughs, water hazards etc.). And in case the standard golfing experience doesn't keep you interested, "rule spinners" at random holes quirky rules of play. I can't speak to the other activities they have at Big Don's (rock climbing, maze, laser tag, panning for gold, etc.). If it's anything like golf, I'm sure it's quality! My friends and I frequent Don's. I'd recommend it to any miniature golf fan!

A nice little putput in Cicero. Price was okay at $7.50 per adult. It was clean and the forest theme was cute. The kids behind us were rushing and just throwing the balls not taking it any type of seriously, that's to be expected without parent supervision. Overall a fun hour outside with good company. They had food and ice cream too, didn't try it but it looked ok.

My family and I arrived to play a few rounds of miniature golf, we did not realize that there were quite a few other outdoor activities to choose from.

We rounded up our adult children and made them come with us to check out the park. To be honest, this amusement park is far from it's prime. I'm sure back in the day when it first opened, it probably was so much more exciting and fun. The amusement park looks really run down. Some of the game stands were looking pretty sad. There were a lot of arcade type spots, some were nice and some needed some tlc. There were a few of the rides that were open and operating. Some were still down. The roller-coaster gives you some butterflies while riding it but it's still very tiny. It's about 8 bucks for a very fast ride. So, you're really paying for the core memory of the ride and not the ride itself. I can see this joint being fun for kids and teens. They don't know any better. The bright lights and arcade games is exciting for them. For my older kids who are in their early 20's, we were able to distract them with a few games for some tickets but the interest didn't last long. For a smaller amusement park, it does it's job. It would be a fun date night just to walk the beach, share a fry bread and ride the roller coaster. I'm happy I got to check it out with my little family tonight. It wasn't the most exciting but we got to share time and create some memories together hanging out at the amusement park tonight.

SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD -- DO NOT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE!Avoid this place at all costs. I am completely…read moreblown away by how dangerously negligent this park is. If you care about your family's safety, stay far away.My friend and I visited and experienced a terrifying series of mechanical failures and completely checked-out staff. On the Himalaya ride, they pushed it down once, I was too worried to ask them to tighten it more because I realized it was all the way, and I wasn't able to ride with my sister. Because they forced me to ride completely ALONE on the bench seat, I had no body weight next to me to anchor myself. The ride hits crazy speeds over hills, and because the lap bar was completely broken and stuck at its highest open setting, I was literally floating into the air experiencing "zero gravity" lift. With no side gates or doors on the cart, I was sliding violently across the seat and could have easily been flung out into the metal structure. It didn't stop there. On the Tilt-A-Whirl, my sister was able to lift the heavy metal lap bar completely straight up mid-ride while the car was spinning, meaning the locking gear teeth were totally stripped. On the spinning teacup ride, they let 4-to-6-year-old children ride completely alone with zero restraints or seatbelts, on a platform that tilts heavily in mid-air.To top it off, when my sister got off the Ferris wheel screaming because every single cart was infested with spiders and webs, the operator (who looked completely unkempt and smelled) just laughed and said, "did ya see them?" He knew the bugs were in there and deliberately didn't warn her before trapping her 40 feet in the air. Oh, and the bumper boats? The operator proudly told us he "made them himself," and you can literally see open, un-shielded spinning boat propellers on the underside. If a kid fell out into that dirty water, they'd be mangled. This place is a fatal accident waiting to happen. The operators treat heavy, dangerous machinery like a backyard playground project and completely skip mandatory safety checks. Do not risk your life for this run-down dump!!!

Half of the attractions were down / out of service. Minimal staff to help out. My kids had more fun exploring the mall than visiting this place. We did the rope thing they have and at one point both my kids (9, 7) were on the same obstacle. The young lady working it yelled at my kids "only one at time" in such a rude manner it made my daughter cry and want to leave ASAP. No one told us that was a rule, would have appreciated knowing that before they yelled at my kids. Generally disorganized, a lot of things not working. Not worth the money and time spent. Would not recommend. My brother who lives in upstate and recommended it apologized for it being such a bad experience. On a plus they did have Astro Pops for sale which I loved as a kid and purchased for my children which they loved.
