My company booked a buy our Christmas party at Apex.. we were expecting around 150 people to attend, unfortunately, we had about half of that actually show up. The wait staff, especially the bartenders, Colleen, Stephanie and Steve, saved our entire experience. They were so attentive and made our time at apex magical despite the lack of attendees. They made sure we all had a phenomenal time and provided amazing customer service. I hope they receive the recognition they deserve because they absolutely saved our event. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to have a date night. We got a lane and was told it's by the hour. So we went to sit down and got menu's and didn't start bowling until our orders were taken. Just as we start we notice the thing what swoops away the pins when they're knocked wasn't moving so we let them know and they moved us to the next one over. We played one game which only took like 15-20 mins and I was watching the timer before and all of a sudden it says we have 17 mins left. I was shocked and told them and they added 30 mins back. But it was off to me how the time just went from 40 mins left to 17. I couldn't tell if they took the time off themselves or it was a glitch. But the people next to us showed up after us and left before us. I think it happened to them too. Other than that the appetizers and drinks were good. read more

In concept, this place is great. Multiple forms of entertainment all in one place, food, drinks. We've given them wayyy too many shots despite our better judgment, and there's a lot to say, but I'll just limit it to two: - Bowling - their somewhat outdated online reservation system doesn't allow for "day of" reservations. I don't know about you, but I seldom plan to take the kids bowling in advance - I guess I see it as a bit more spontaneous. Call me crazy, that's just how I roll. You might say "oh, that's so they have spaces for walk-ins." Maybe....but they've never allowed a walk-in that I've seen, even when the place is empty. Also...have you been recently? Walk-in traffic is non-existent. - Arcade - their kiosks were handy - allowed you to obtain/recharge a card for the games. Recently, however, the scanners that recharge the cards have all been removed from the kiosks. Then kiosks remain on, and though you walk from machine to machine trying to figure it out, then staff just watch you, rather than explaining it's broken. You need to go to a human to recharge your card. After doing this, I watched three other people grow increasingly frustrated trying to recharge their cards, until they just left. Maybe this was why the arcade was empty? Some of the games are OK, but they're never updated or swapped out, and just feel outdated. The overall feeling of apathy from the businesses and their employees in the mall is pretty overwhelming...I have such fond memories from the old Carousel days, so I keep going back, but I think this era is reaching its end. What a fun place! I was in Syracuse for work and stopped by Destiny USA. The staff was great. They talked up a new Ghostbusters VR game. It was pretty cool and loved wearing the vest where you could feel when you got attacked. Fun stuff. read more

Went with a group and as we were waiting for friends in the restroom we helped ourselves to water at the soda machine right next to the bathroom (theres even a stack of cups beside the machine). Some pink haired employees came running at us yelling that we were not allowed to do that. We apologized and she didn't respond to us. She then notified all of the other staff right in front of us which was pretty embarrassing. After that I received serval dirty looks from the staff and they were very short and seemed angry during checkout. They further reminded us twice that we were not allowed to do that in the future. Fortunately for them I won't be going back. Im not sure why using a self service soda machine is such a big deal but the way they handled it really ruined my experience. This was my first time bowling since a birthday party I went to in grade fifth. I was really excited to give it a shot. After this I really never want to go bowling again. read more

Too bad I can't give Zero stars. Every time we come here something is wrong. The food is terrible, the service is terrible. I've always held off on writing a review. We went there today March 4, 2023. We were told it would be about 40-45 minutes for a lane. We waited for an hour before going up. We were then told it would be about 20 minutes. They know this because you bowl by the hour there, so they know when people will be done. After 1.5 hours of waiting, I went up and asked what was going on. I hope this guy wasn't a Manager because he was a complete jerk. His name was John and he was just oh well, it's a Saturday. This is the way everyone who works there is. We left without bowling, my kids were devastated. Apex completely ruined our Saturday night out with our kids. I will never go back there. Had no idea this place had axe throwing and how many video game options!!! Went here this weekend because family were in town visiting. We went bowling, ordered food, and played games. Came here on an invite to a party they were hosting so glad I went got to sample what I believe to be the entire menu. Let me tell you the carving board beef and turkey what OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! My office is highly considering going there for a team event based off this experience. Staff was friendly and as quick as they could be despite there being hundreds of people. Food was absolutely TERRIBLE... rice was crunchy chicken was over cooked, bought tix for dueling pianos and they WERE FANTASTIC!! But the venue was the WORST dining experience I have ever experienced... we had to hunt down staff to replenish the buffet.. I use the term Buffet loosely as we had one choice overcooked orange chicken...well that's what they were calling it... I had to calm my husband down as this was my birthday celebration with 12 people... and he was NOT HAPPY OR IMPRESSED... My coworkers and I decided to try a new place tonight, and we have decided that APEX is the new official spot for us. The atmosphere is fun, but not as loud and over-sensory as Dave and Buster's. With everything from pool to bowling and laser tag, it's an incredible place to enjoy a night out. Our bartender tonight was Jordan. Only 6 months into bartending she was able to make a drink she had never made before (a cocktail created in this decade nonetheless) to perfection. The complexity of this drink was there, with three distinct layers hitting perfectly on the palette. I highly recommend APEX and Jordan as a bartender. This was the first of many times for us. Worst entertainment facility I've been to in my life. The wait staff didn't know Anything about the menu, couldn't answer any questions and also messed up our order, then we also didn't receive our food until our time on the lanes was already over. The prices were ridiculous, it was an hour of bowling and we spent almost $200 before ordering food. I'll never come back to Apex Entertainment and neither will any of the people I came with. We decided to stop by Apex since we saw it at the mall. Apex was fun! My boyfriend and I did 30 mins of axe throwing with Bree. She was super engaging and enthusiastic! I loved her energy. After a competitive 30 mins of axe throwing and talking smack, we won gift cards for the arcade. The arcade portion had your standard games. I was hoping for a larger selection. They also have bumper cars, laser tag, and bowling, which we didn't try this time, but we will defintely return! Bumper cars did look a little cramped. Destiny Mall already has tons of entertainment like 5 Wits, the mystery escape room, go karting, Dave and Busters arcade, the virtual reality place, the mirror maze, adventure works and now Apex! Apex has bumper cars, an arcade, virtual reality games, a ride that seats up to 12 (?) people, bowling, private conference rooms for meetings or for birthday parties for kids under 14, food and a bar. They have claw machine games, laser tag and shooting games. You load a card up with money in order to play (much like at Dave and Busters) and they have a prize room where you can trade in your tickets. This place is a great addition to the mall. The bowling alley looked super sleek and modern and had lots of cool lighting effects. They open until 10 most nights but open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. This place is great for kids and family birthday events but is also great for adults. The bowling costs $4.50 for shoe rentals and the site says it's $30 for bowling on Monday through Thursday and $40 otherwise but I don't know what this includes or for how many games or how long it is for. Their menu consists of typical bowling alley food options like fries, burgers and sandwiches. read more

Friendly staff. Fun environment. We did the bowling and it was a fun environment but the lanes were not oiled at all. Ball goes from one side of the ally into the gutter from curving. Never will bowl here again. They sent me to a new lane that was apparently newly oiled and was just as bad. They are cheap on the oil. read more

Our company has had multiple events at this venue in the past and this last experience was awesome. Lisa was very helpful in helping me plan out the menu and had the brilliant suggestion to put the food in the space behind our bowling area. Allison took care of us on the night of the venue and helped with an issue with one of the lanes that did not work properly. Bowling lanes didn't work. And you purchase it on a time basis. They added time , but kept not working. Pizza had a hair in it. They took it back and off, but bad very bad. Server was great. They gave us $40 in game play. Very nice, but logged at LEAST a 100 4 times on the ball throw game. Got to the counter to have them tell us we had 250 tickets. Also got 100 on the claw game. Not worth even going back to them.... be careful.... read more

So my family and I went to Apex last night with great expectations. The staff seemed friendly, however almost nothing was right with the food order. While I understand they just opened, they need much better attention to detail from their servers. E.G. Our waitress took our order, failed to take my daughters order, failed to deliver all the requested items we ordered. Missing items from.our order are as follows. Home made chips ( Which after requesting several times came out completely cold and saturated in oil) Missing personal pizza ( Which from the picture looked appetizing but when it finally came out after asking a second time was more like a frozen Red Barron pizza ) Missing an order of Fries We ordered Wings which were actually cold in temperature but overloaded in pepper flakes, which was not my idea of Buffalo wings. The Nachos with shave beef was not much better, the beef was flavorless with almost a boiled texture, which was also cold. The side Ceasar salad came out in a soup bowl,not much of an actual salad. The Pretzel was the best part of the meal. My wife's drinks were not remotely similar to each other, while she ordered the same drink one came out in a peach color and the other red. The waitress came to clean up the table and never asked if anyone was finished and just took my son's fries away, we had never been asked how everything was. When we finally finished the meal no recommendation for dessert was offered. I paid the bill as we were going to play Bowling. That wasl the only time we were asked how everything was and at which point I advised of my disappointment. The waitress offered some beverages for us while we played our bowling games. I ordered 1 drink while bowling only to receive a bill for that as well. It appears that Apex has some opportunities in coaching and training their staff and maybe just being opened for a few weeks this is all part of their growing pains. I might return for some games but unless their food and waiter staff becomes more competent you will have a better time down the hall at Dave and Busters. read more
