At wonder-works Destiny shopping mall I did only one of the many things they have there. For 20.00 I went on the roads and climbing exhibit. I was harnessed and once comfortable I was able to go on the various ladders and such. I was told that there alway was a staff member there, just in case. 30 to 40 minutes for me was plenty of time and it was easy to find the red arrow exit signs to get back . It was a nice thing to do besides shopping.

So many things were out of order. Can't believe we spend over $100 for a family of four on this. What a rip off!!! Edit: The girl at the ropes course was NASTY!!! So rude.

I took my 8year old daughter & we had a great time. The whole thing took about 2&1/2hours to go through, stopping to enjoy everything we could/wanted to. There were a few things out of order, but it was mostly working and fun. We got VIP tickets (at a discount off of Groupon, which you have to buy over 24hours before you go), so we were able to go on the Canopy Climb. This is a ropes course that hangs over multiple levels of the atrium in Destiny USA. You're securely fastened with a full body harness to the steel structure, but it's still quite a queasy task! The best part for us was that once you step out onto the first platform, you have the option to take one more aerial walk to flat ground again. But at least you can say that you tried it! I definitely recommend this place for kids from ages of about 6-12.

Described as "an amusement park for the mind", Wonderworks is an attraction with 100+ hands-on science exhibits plus laser tag, a ropes course & a 6D motion ride. Wonderworks offers interactive, educational fun for all ages. Visitors are offered a variety of experiences, including being blown away by 84 MPH hurricane-force winds, maneuvering the controls of a NASA spacecraft to land the shuttle, lying on a bed of 3,500 nails, and piloting a fighter jet. While it seems as if its just for kids, there's plenty for adults who still consider themselves kids at heart to enjoy, so a Yelp Elite event definitely peaked my interest, and I decided to attend. The event took place on a Wednesday night and other than our group, it seemed pretty empty, which I'm sure had to do with it being the middle of the week. While most of the Yelpers went for laser tag, myself and my small group decided to hit up the Wonderzones and check everything else out. Some of the exhibits were very fun, like the bubble lab, giant Connect-4 game, and old school carnival basketball game. This part of Wonderworks very much reminded me of the MOST Museum, with little interactive science related exhibits, which I loved as a kid, so I thoroughly enjoyed. There were a few exhibits where employees had to attend with you, and all employees were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Fun looking exhibits such as the Xtreme 360 Bikes and Gyroscope unfortunately couldn't accomodate a man of my size (over 250 lbs), so I can't comment on them. I really wanted to check out the 4D Motion Theatre, but there just wasn't enough time before food arrived. All in all, it was a fun little event, but as an adult, I don't see it as something I would go to repeatedly. While its fun the first time, I don't see it as something I would enjoy more than once, but I could see it being a fun place to visit multiple times to a family with children.

Sunday of Winter Break, they only had one poor girl working the front desk. She did great, but had no help at all.

We rounded up our adult children and made them come with us to check out the park. To be honest, this amusement park is far from it's prime. I'm sure back in the day when it first opened, it probably was so much more exciting and fun. The amusement park looks really run down. Some of the game stands were looking pretty sad. There were a lot of arcade type spots, some were nice and some needed some tlc. There were a few of the rides that were open and operating. Some were still down. The roller-coaster gives you some butterflies while riding it but it's still very tiny. It's about 8 bucks for a very fast ride. So, you're really paying for the core memory of the ride and not the ride itself. I can see this joint being fun for kids and teens. They don't know any better. The bright lights and arcade games is exciting for them. For my older kids who are in their early 20's, we were able to distract them with a few games for some tickets but the interest didn't last long. For a smaller amusement park, it does it's job. It would be a fun date night just to walk the beach, share a fry bread and ride the roller coaster. I'm happy I got to check it out with my little family tonight. It wasn't the most exciting but we got to share time and create some memories together hanging out at the amusement park tonight.

If you care about your family's safety, stay far away.My friend and I visited and experienced a terrifying series of mechanical failures and completely checked-out staff. On the Himalaya ride, they pushed it down once, I was too worried to ask them to tighten it more because I realized it was all the way, and I wasn't able to ride with my sister. Because they forced me to ride completely ALONE on the bench seat, I had no body weight next to me to anchor myself. The ride hits crazy speeds over hills, and because the lap bar was completely broken and stuck at its highest open setting, I was literally floating into the air experiencing "zero gravity" lift. With no side gates or doors on the cart, I was sliding violently across the seat and could have easily been flung out into the metal structure. It didn't stop there. On the Tilt-A-Whirl, my sister was able to lift the heavy metal lap bar completely straight up mid-ride while the car was spinning, meaning the locking gear teeth were totally stripped. On the spinning teacup ride, they let 4-to-6-year-old children ride completely alone with zero restraints or seatbelts, on a platform that tilts heavily in mid-air.To top it off, when my sister got off the Ferris wheel screaming because every single cart was infested with spiders and webs, the operator (who looked completely unkempt and smelled) just laughed and said, "did ya see them?" He knew the bugs were in there and deliberately didn't warn her before trapping her 40 feet in the air. Oh, and the bumper boats? The operator proudly told us he "made them himself," and you can literally see open, un-shielded spinning boat propellers on the underside. If a kid fell out into that dirty water, they'd be mangled. This place is a fatal accident waiting to happen. The operators treat heavy, dangerous machinery like a backyard playground project and completely skip mandatory safety checks. Do not risk your life for this run-down dump!!!
