Coastal cuteness overload!…read more This is such a great find in the heart of Great Bridge, especially if you need a gift for a lover of all things beachy! My mom & I had a girls day Christmas shopping and stopped in here after perusing some other nearby shops. This is located toward the back of a shopping center right near the Locks Bridge. On a busy day, parking here is at a premium as there are many other restaurants and stores in the center. Many spots are monopolized now for curbside pickup at neighboring shops. As soon as you walk into Refreshed, you're overwhelmed by the beautiful blues and whites of coastal decor. It's eye candy, for sure! The staff greeted us right away, asked if we were looking for anything special, and were readily available if we had questions. They offer hand sanitizer at the front door and let you know that they require masks. The 3 staff members we saw all wore masks during our entire visit. They carry Simply Southern clothing and accessory items and have some unique beachy gifts for everyone. I even found some stocking stuffers for my decidedly non-beachy husband (flavored popcorn for the win!). I loved venturing in - I wish I had sooner - and got some great ideas for other family members future gifts. This place is a gem!

I bought a heavy concrete mermaid there and was stupid enough to pay $169. I have returned to San Diego and in the wealthy neighborhood where I lived which is far more sophisticated than Chesapeake, I saw the same exact mermaid for sale priced at $79. I was literally sick to my stomach. The prices she charges are literal extortion. I don't know how they get away with it. Before you decide to spend your hard earned money on her outrageous prices I recommend you search elsewhere on google.

It is a nice place tucked away in the corner of a small strip shopping center. Each time I have gone in I have been greeted by staff. Including this Sunday. I tend to walk around shops such as this one in a clockwise manner. That way I help avoid missing any treasures. Plus my friend Loretta has one of the first spaces in that direction. I like to take my time and admire all of the nice items. This shop carries a lot of vintage and antique items. It brings back such sweet memories. I saw many things I wanted but I have to keep in mind the want VA needs. After I took my first gander I went back to Loretta's Niche and picked out a ceramic piece that has 5 tubes and the word F A I T H written on each. Perfect to propogate some clippings. I also found a nice low profile ring at another space, and picked a nice chilled soda out of the refrigerator with items for sale. They have fresh coffee in a little room, with books etc for sale, if anyone wants a nice hot cup and they have bagged snacks for sale. An added bonus. The young lady who was working has been very pleasant each time I have visited recently. She also carefully wrapped my ceramic piece up nicely. There is honestly something for everyone in VA VINTAGE.

I was originally super excited to check out this coffee shop that so many of my yelp friends…read moreenjoyed. The parking situation is a gravel road with a good bit of parking spots. In the backyard of the house, there's a playground and picnic tables, making this a cute spot to bring the little ones while you enjoy a treat outside too. Of course, I ordered a Lavender Honey Latte because that's just my go to. It was beautifully and perfectly crafted! It was so delicious. At the end of the cup, I was debating ordering another because it was that good! I also order the breakfast bowl, but wish I hadn't. I knocked off one star due to the poor food experience. I waited maybe 15 mins or so for my food to be ready (no biggy as I wasn't in a rush). But when I bit into my food, it was cold. The eggs were inedible. The bacon was chilled and I guess served in syrup. The avocado was perfectly ripe. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the breakfast bowl, especially not this for $15+ dollars. If I visit again, I'll stick with the lattes and skip the food!

I haven't been here since it changed from Sawdust Road. I absolutely love the drive out to Pungo,…read moreso decided on Sunday morning to take the drive out and give Corduroy a try! For a Sunday at 9AM, it was not busy which was great since I was on a time crunch. It's an old, rustic farmhouse that when you walk in, truly feels like you're walking into someone's home. I ordered an iced latte with their homemade strawberry syrup and almond milk, and my friend got a black cold brew. The strawberry syrup was incredible. Not too sweet, and it was the PERFECT addition to my usual coffee order. 10/10 recommend for you strawberry fans. The food menu looked fantastic, but I was not hungry so we settled for the liquid diet this morning. But, the burrito and the pimento BLT definitely caught my eye for next time. The inside is super cute, with such a cool vibe. It would be a great place to come back with my laptop to get work done! We sat outside before it started to get too hot, and it truly felt like we were at someones house, drinking coffee on their porch. Such a cozy vibe. I loved this spot.
