How excited I was to find Frame 'N' Art again! On my way to PT I turned into a different entrance to the Lynnhaven Convenience Center & there it was. In the 90's it was located in a small shopping center near Lynnhaven Mall. Since my business had been located very close, I decided to give them a try with some of my precious memories. Year after year I returned numerous times to have the business beautifully frame & mat precious photos & playbills from my son's acting career. My Music Room walls are filled with them. They made old family pictures into beautiful works of art. The store was filled with frame choices. Knowledgeable employees would work with you on the best choices for frames & mats. The finished products were always gorgeous. It was sad when they disappeared from the Lynnhaven area location, I assumed the store had closed. So no framing for me has been done in the years since. Upon locating the store in Lynnhaven Convenience Center, I was anxious to see if the framing stock would be as extensive. It turned out to be more so. And there was a larger supply of other decorative accents & framed prints available for purchase. One of my theater memories that they had framed decades ago had been knocked off the wall & the glass had been broken. It was from a production my son had been featured in with Virginia Stage Company about 30 years ago. I had continued to postpone getting the glass replaced since I had not developed trust in another store. How excited I was to take it into Frame 'N' Art for repair. I had hoped to pick it up today but learned upon arrival that they close on Monday. The location of the shopping center is the north side of Virginia Beach Boulevard just west of its intersection with Lynnhaven Parkway. If coming from the east turn into the first, rather than the main entrance. There is plenty of parking. This store gets my highest recommendation. They do beautiful work. read more

Great location right off Virginia Beach Blvd in the strip mall across from Beach Ford. There are two entrances into the strip and there is a light (thank goodness) if you need to turn left out of the strip and head back towards the beach. I called bc I did a google search for local art framing shops with a rather expensive piece we purchased in England earlier this year. Kim is very friendly over the phone and happily answered all my questions and set up an appointment for me to bring my art in and go over the options with her. It's a large piece, and one that most commercial stores won't frame (around 45"x45" total) so I needed someone who could and would take on this project. The inside of the store is what you'd expect - walls covered with samples of frames and museum-quality reduced glare glass and various pricing samples with two large tables where you can sit and spread your art out to have it measured and have the mat and frame samples that line the back wall laid out on top of it or near it to get an idea of what your art will look like once you frame it. It took just under a half an hour to make my selections with some good advice from the pros - and we were quoted and put half down easily. You can also purchase prints and various other smaller frames for wedding photos and special photos inside the shop as well. Happy experience - I should get my framed art back in about 3 weeks. Nice store, that does in house framing, sell art and other miscellaneous items. The location off Virginia Beach Blvd is awesome, however it is very easy to pass by. They are across the street from Beach a Ford. With so many shops to choose from, you just never know which one will do a great job. I have had framing done in the past and very satisfied. Prices are definitely higher than say Michaels. I have found the cost and personal attention by owner Kim worth the money. She works with your budget and is patient while you choose what fits your needs best. They have a very large selection of frames to choose from and have the equipment to do spectacular matte and frame up. I would recommend them for your framing needs. They were selected "Best of the Beach " 2013 for a reason. Give them a shot to quote your project. read more

these ladies rock my world. they're very kind and have HEATH bars. ok... ok.... it's no about the candy. my art looks amazing. they reframed some antiques for me and they're beautiful. they got how to do asian art. and they managed to pick gorgeous matting that worked for ALL of the art. it's nice. framing is expensive but they have the eye and talent for it. totally worth it. worth my 20 minute drive. they rock! read more

Absolutely love this place. I have been following them around VB since 2006 and will not get my things framed anywhere else. They know exactly what they are doing and offer suggestions and everything looks amazing!!!! And the customer service......WOW!!! I brought some sports memorabilia that I had collected over to Frame N Art to get frame. Not only did they do a great job, but the service was great. I have had quite a few artworks framed over the years. Some have financial value; some have sentimental value. I have learned that the eye of the framer is critical. I had a work with tremendous sentimental value framed in another state by a framer who claimed to have a great deal of experience. I let him talk me into a frame with a slight blue tint and a white mat to bring out the blues in the piece. I was not happy with the result and the framer had no interest in doing anything about it. Now, whenever I look at the piece I want to kick myself. I recently had a print that I cherished framed at Frame N Art. The owner, Kim, has the best eye for framing I have found. I was not entirely sold on her choice of mats before the framing, but trusted her. The result was spectacular. Her work transformed a nice print with sentimental value to a stunning work. I have also had her replace the glass of a valuable piece with museum glass and it is like a new work. The cost of the framing was on the upper end, but reasonable for the workmanship, materials and (most important) the eye of a gifted framer. I might just have to justify to myself the cost of having Kim reframe my piece with the blueish frame. It is either that or keep telling myself the blue frame goes with my walls. read more

I have always loved the pictures we have had matted and framed at Frame N Art but this was the first time I brought in an article from a magazine to be framed. Our Daughter-in-law was recognized in a beautiful article in Distingtion Magazine about her work with the Therapy Dog program with CHKD. This was a very detailed project and required cutting and matting the article together. It turned out absolutely beautifully. The ladies at Frame N Art exceeded by far my expectations! Over the years, I have had many, many things framed. I am extremely picky, and appreciate attention to detail, which not everyone has a talent for. But this place is EXCELLENT!! They are "on the ball", too... making sure your job is done to your satisfaction, and on time. I've had four items framed by this place. One military item, and three very different pieces of art, one of which needed stretched. Two pieces required glass and two were left open to the canvas. All frames were perfect. The backings were all professional. My friend had written a message on the back of the canvas. So they took a picture and put the picture on the back so it could still be viewed. They are patient and have great attention to detail. You won't be disappointed! read more
