If you need decor, kitchenware, linens, unique gifts, you'll likely find it here. They have jam-packed shelves almost to the point of being overwhelming! We stopped in this past weekend. They have a sign right in the front stating their covid capacity - 161 if I'm not mistaken. There's no way this place wasn't exceeding that. So. Many. People. And when the shelves and walkways are crammed full of stuff, it's just not an ideal shopping situation for me. They did have someone right at the front who was responsible for cleaning carts, which was appreciated. We were on the hunt for a larger piece of furniture. Didn't find what we were looking for, but they have a lot of different styles in chairs, desks, tables etc. I would caution that, if you do find something you like, check it thoroughly before purchasing. Many items seemed to have dents and dings from being on the floor with carts pushing past. This is definitely a spot you might find a treasure, especially in the clearance sections, but it will take some time and effort to find. read more

I always love seeing what Home Goods has in stock for Halloween and I wasn't disappointed this trip! There were some really nice decor items for the front of the house like a standing pumpkinhead man, pillows, signs, and napkins. I found a really nice tombstone with a grim reaper leaning over the stone with the term "GO HOME" at the top of the stone. I can't wait to set it up in front of my house. The eyes of the skeleton glow red, which added to its ominous tone! When I'm back in the area, I'll return to this HomeGoods location. read more

I think this is a wonderful store to purchase your at home needs,they have a nice selection of items to choose from. The reason I left one star out is the aisles are very narrow and it's difficult to navigate a shopping cart down each aisle and don't even think about trying to get a cart down one with another customer already occupying one because you can just forget it!. I had to just park my shopping cart on the side and wait for my wife to finish shopping because it was nearly impossible to follow her around through the aisles with the shopping cart!. read more

I love shopping here and was thrilled to see a home goods store come to Chesapeake in the last few years. It's a smaller store than their VB counterparts but what it lacks it size, it more than makes up for content! I shop their pet section every visit and am excited to find just the right item! Great place to find all your home needs and wants. They've got high quality decor for less than retail. Watch out! I love this store! They have a wide variety of everything you'd want for your house. Everything from dishes, to kids' room, to table sets. The prices are average and the layout of the items are pretty organized. The store is well lit and clean. The employees were nice. The parking lot is a bit cramped and very busy. I've had an ongoing issue with this store regarding them charging me twice for a single item, after being rung up on one register the malfunctioned during the transaction (resulting in it not producing a receipt). They said the payment didn't go through and I'd need to try again on another register. Problem is, my statement I was in fact charged twice, one right after the other. I attempted to show the manager ,but she claimed they have no record of it and could not refund me for the extra payment. Now I'm having to go back and forth with them and my bank to get my money back. An unnecessary headache for $17. I'll probably be back because I do love the store, but will definitely only pay with my credit card going forward. read more

I am all about good quality, great looking, great selection, and great prices when it comes to buying ANYTHING. I am HUGE fan of TJ Maxx and Marshalls...and of course when I heard Home Goods was coming to town I was very excited. I went to the Grand Opening and It was packed! I just went to look and see how big the store was and how big of a selection they had. I of course did not want to go shopping when there are hundreds of people there. Shopping is my therapy and not being able to focus on things I might buy...just cramps my mood. Plus Home Goods and its sister stores don't give discounts or have specials on Grand Opening Days. The store seems to be around the same size as many TJ MAXX and Marshall Stores, except there isn't any clothing. Which is fine with me! Thats what the other stores are for! Home Goods has everything you can think of to make your home as nice as possible. You can decorate however you want and Home Goods will have something to decorate your house with or compliment other decorations. They have stuff for Dining, Entertainment, Kid Rooms, Baby Rooms, Bed Rooms, Bathrooms, Living Rooms, Food, Coffee, Drink ware, Beautiful Lamps, Rugs, Chairs, gifts...etc. Get their Credit Card and get $10 for every 1000 points. Every dollar you spend @ Home Goods and their sister stores and you get X5! I love Home Goods and its sister stores. I barely shop anywhere else. read more

Home Goods gets FIVE STARS just for being Home Goods! I would give this store five stars but the assistant manager was not helpful, unfriendly and lack customer service. I went to this location on 12/31/18 (just after 3pm) just to peruse. I came across two jewelry boxes and could not decide which one to purchase. I asked the assistant manager (who was organizing pillows) if Home Goods would hold it until closing. I just wanted to buy one of them, run home and see if it went with my decor, then if it didn't I would come back and exchange it for the other one. Yes, I could have purchased both but some times it takes a long time for money to be refunded. Well, the assistant manager told me that they "do not hold items" and I could not do it. She said that I could pay for it, leave it, and come back and pick it up. Why would I pay for a small jewelry box and leave it?? I thought that this was odd. Nevertheless, I proceeded to check out. The young lady was very nice and asked if I found everything okay. I explained what happened. She apologized and told me that Home Goods could hold the item for me until closing. Huh?! This was the opposite of what the assistant manager told me. Well, I was able to run and get the other jewelry box and put it on hold. The individual who checked me out was VERY nice and treated me very well (next time I visit I will try to find our her name and update my post). The assistant manager on the other hand was not courteous and was more interested in organizing pillows than assisting customers accurately. Understanding that she may have been having a bad day....she still should offer good service or take a break. No, this will not stop me from visiting this location (I visit at least once a week if not more), but it will stop me from asking this particular assistant manager any questions. She also seemed irritated. BUT, if her behavior continues I may reconsider my stance. I love Home Goods and hope that the assistant manager's attitude changes. read more

There's something about the feel of this store that I love! I'm not sure if it's the selection of unique decor, or the fact that they have a variety of uniques snacks and drinks including non dairy milks that most places never have! I'm always excited to visit here!!! read more

My wife and I absolutely love this store. They have a great selection and variety of everthing to decorate your home. The prices can not be beat for quality items. You may have to check the shelves twice to find your hidden treasure, but they are there. The staff and management are extremely customer friendly. On our last visit, my wife had the opportunity to meet a lady by the name of Jennifer Mariscal. She went above and beyond to assist her. She treated her with the utmost respect. I really hope the this store realizes that Jennifer is a top notch employee. People like her are the reason we drive to this location instead of a store closer to our home. This store is entirely TOO small. It is well stocked for the size but, I was looking forward to the store being equivalent to the size of the store in VA Beach near VA Blvd. Hopefully they will buy a larger bldg. so that they can include clothing. read more

Home goods is TJ maxx but home stuff. I love TJ Maxx but homegoods is ok. They have a variety of dishes and decor. Some of it is a bit unique and pricey. There are always a lot of people shopping at this location so it's hard to check everything out. I usually find better stuff at TJ or another HG location in Virginia Beach. read more

This place is awesome! They are also associated with Marshall's and TJ Maxx. They have a great variety of selections for great prices! They have some amazing home decor and furniture options such as counter stools, sofas, settees, dining chairs, etc. It's a Great alternative place to check out when on budget $$$. Far better selection than the Virginia Beach store. It's clean but it's cramped although that might be characteristic of this chain. Other locations I've visited have similar tight corners and narrow aisles that are even more troublesome to navigate when the store is packed. In spite of how busy the place is, the staff seemed mostly unaffected - they were very helpful and pleasant. In the future I'd hope to see more unique pieces though, whats available is of good quality but rather trendy. read more
