Stay a couple nights here with my parents & sister for a fishing trip. Everything was good. Reasonable price and a clean room. It doesn't looked like much from outside, but I am glad I stayed here. I love their mint iced tea & beer that they offered when we checked in. We'll be back again next time.

Wow, I can't believe this place even exists in Riggins! I stay at a lot of hotels for work, and I…read morecan honestly say the suite I got was much more than I had anticipated. The rooms were clean, updated, and spacious. I liked that they provided dishes for guests to use, both glasses and silverware (which is nice because at most places you have to stab someone to get this). Our suite included a huge hot tub style bath, although water pressure could of been better to fill this faster. The views from the balcony were nice, even if you were watching some of the locals down the way get buck wild drunk and light fireworks off while it is still a couple months until 4th of July. All in all, I would definitely visit here again. I had no problem with services, but would note that if you're from a larger city and visiting here expect small town hospitality, they wont treat you like you're the King of England. Intend to visit again for some R&R.

A few things to keep in mind: the hotel does not have an elevator, so carrying luggage up and down the stairs was inconvenient. The beds in our room were also extremely firm and not very comfortable. Breakfast was fairly limited, with just a few basic options. Overall, it's a decent place to stay if you're visiting Riggins, especially for the location and scenic views, but there are a few areas that could be improved.

What an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime! I just…read morereturned from an incredible 6-day, 5-night journey down Idaho's Main Salmon River with Mackay Wilderness River Trips. Our group of 16 adventurous women experienced the thrill of Class III and IV rapids while surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever seen. We were accompanied by five exceptional young men who were the epitome of true gentlemen. They took amazing care of us every step of the way--preparing five-star breakfasts, lunches, and dinners complete with appetizers and delicious desserts, setting up our tents, sharing fascinating history about the river, and, most importantly, keeping us safe on the water. Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work made the trip even more memorable. Each day brought incredible wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead, ospreys, an otter, great blue herons, merganssers, and bighorn sheep. Evenings were spent relaxing around camp with great food, plenty of adult beverages, wonderful conversation, and sleeping under a sky full of stars. The rapids were exhilarating, the scenery was spectacular, the company was unforgettable, and the memories will last a lifetime. Thank you, Mackay Wilderness River Trips, for an experience I'll never forget. It truly was the adventure of a lifetime!

My expectations for the weekend were blown out of the water (literally) in the first ten minutes on the jet boat ride. I don't think we stopped smiling for 3 days. I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a wedding if rivers and mountains hold a piece of your heart. The staff was incredibly fun and accommodating. Dax is the cutest 6 year old host you'll ever meet and I felt almost no stress before the wedding because I knew Joni had everything under control. If you want a wild jet boat ride, jump on Bucks boat ;) Mackay Bar is truly a hidden gem in Idaho. All of my friends and family are texting me that we forever ruined their expectation of a wedding. Sunset horseback rides, fishing, hiking and phenomenal food. I am forever grateful for our wedding weekend and Mackay Bar and we are plotting to get back there as soon as possible.
