Had a great meal here and a couple glasses of beer. It was nice to have stumbled upon this place, having been within 6 miles of it for 5 years in a row now... without knowing it. I stay at burgdorf hot springs every October and usually head to McCall for snacks. But that was before finding this place. I'll be making this my new hangout while I'm the area. The staff were really cool, the food and drinks were great, and the setting was perfect. Looking forward to seeing it again next year.

Out of tomato, so our BLTs were BLB's (extra bacon!)

Love this place! If you're hiking, camping, fishing, enjoying the outdoors north of McCall, this is the place to put your feet up and have a cold beer and straight up good eats Things to know about Secesh Stage Stop It's NOT: - trendy - presumptuous - fancy - close to anything - open on Wednesdays It IS: - Awesome, if you're laid back and are happy to just be there. - a place to get a cold beer, including some local microbrews - the home of flexible cooking. We ordered BLT's. They were out of (T)omatoes, so the owner offered some extra (B)acon. We ended up with BLBs. Who can complain about MORE bacon! No extra charge and they were cheerfully offering options! Heck, I think he threw in extra fries.

Super rad spot! We had to snowmobile for about 25 miles up from McCall and it was well worth it! We had such a great time grabbing some beers, tater tots, burgers, and great ambience with the owner. Great views and the ride back and forth is incredible for a total of 50 miles on snowmobiles. Thank you again for the fun times! xx Jones Family

New ownership, cleaned up inside, amazing selection of drinks like canned cocktails (margarita, grey hound, Bloody Mary). Stopped in for lunch and had a fantastic burger loaded with jalapeños. They claim the fries are the best but I think the seasons tots were where it's at. Cool spot to check out that's completely off the grid

Highly recommend! The owners were so welcoming to our group and we enjoyed our time here. We snowmobiled in for lunch and drinks. Would love to visit again!

We stopped for lunch midway through our sledding adventure and the moment we walked in, the hospitality was amazing. Warm, cozy and the ambiance! Even better was the food and conversation. Hearing about how it started and the plans for the future. If you're in the area or planning a vacation, this is the place to go! Winter sledding or summer side by sides, they offer fun all year long!

First timer from Cali this weekend. Awesome employees and great hamburgers and fresh homemade fries.

Outside view of the Secesh Stage shop - pull up right on your snowmobile and walk in!

Giving it 3 stars because the two ladies working were not friendly, they seemed bothered that we had interrupted their conversation, and even as I ordered for me and my kids, she asked the scoop size (which I didn't realize I needed to choose) and she didn't explain anything, just waited as though she was frustrated that I needed to check with my kids. I'm sure the area is nice on a sunny day- I did notice they had lots of tables and chairs that were put away because of the weather, and if we were in the area we might stop by again. I know everyone can have an off day.

The grounds are clean, the vault toilets were immaculate and the view of Warm Lake was spectacular. Of course, our trip was detoured by a storm that came in on Day 2 of our staff, so to wait it out, my husband, Rick and I went on over to the Cafe. The food was excellent (their burgers are so delicious) and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, so we kept going back. We had such a great time just hanging out at the Cafe and talking to all of the staff that we never cooked our own meals (and boy did we bring a lot of food). The staff were not just friendly, but you got a true sense of being a part of the family, and WOW can Sanda Lee and Brenda make a great Bloody Mary, or anything else you want, e.g., Old Fashioned, Whisky Sour, etc. The day before we were to leave, my husband cut his thumb on his axe and it looked really bad and all we could say was "We have to get to Sharon...NOW!" Sharon is the General Manager and is also an EMT, thank God! When we arrived, Sharon and another one of the staff, Karen, worked effortlessly and very calmly with great precision and voila, they got his thumb all cleaned and bandaged up. I thought for sure he would need stitches, but Sharon and Karen were so professional and excellent in what they do, they had him all fixed in no time. We could never express how thankful we are for them. Right after that, we, of course, had to sit and enjoy a cocktail or two. Ron and Tawni, thank you for your wonderful team, and Ron those ribs were excellent, and your breakfast too! When we left, I got a bit teary-eyed because I knew I would miss these awesome people and the wonderful beauty of the lake and campground. This is definitely going to be our "go to" campground/cabin rental destination from now on.

Current owner hires thugs for employees and says there is nothing she can do when they threaten your life and the life of your dog. I have been staying here about twice a year as a part of a dog training group for last 5 years and it has been a great experience until last weekend. We arrived Thursday just to be greeted by a loose 100+ mastiff dog with no owner in sight. The mastiff went to immediately challenge several dogs in our group. The owners of the dog would not control or confine the dog and it continued to go after our dogs. The owner says there is nothing she can do. There is also a lot of poop everywhere as multiple dogs run loose on premises. Food is poor quality and it takes at least 3 order corrections to get remotely what you want. (I ordered a cheeseburger and got no cheese or burger just bun, tomato and lettuce). One of the dogs we had was a service dog helping a person with disability and the mastiff went after a service dog, there was no choice but to spray the dog as he did not respond to compressed air correction. Both owners of the dog, employee and the owner were warmed that if mastiff comes after a service dog, he will be sprayed. When that finally happened an employee and the dog owner had threatened to spray a person with bear spray and then later to kill them. The owner of the establishment has got into her car and left. Our entire group renting 10 cabins have packed up and left immediately while police was coming up. We last been here September 2025 and it was still a nice a place but not anymore.

The squeeze and I shared an order of finger steaks and fries. It is our norm to split an order for lunch. The meat tasted good, nice and tender. Spices in the coating decent. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The dip for the finger steaks had a good amount of horseradish in it, wasn't overpowering but put heat into the bite. They did bring an extra plate, which was nice, and not to be charged for it is even better. They may have added some extra fries and fingers, don't know, but we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity. The pretzel was good, and the hot, spicy mustard was good. Good for a mid-day snack after skiing. The place was kind of broken/trashy. We were sitting at the bar and noticed that the brewing supplies were a little gross. I thought brewers were clean? The signs were not updated and had a make-shift feeling. Sad to see what was once a great brewery is now trying to pick up its pieces.

Little did we know that was the only "great" of the evening. Water and menu's arrived after 10 minutes. "Server will be with you". Ha! Another 10 minutes. Caught the water guy again and asked for the wine menu. Leaves, see him consult with bar tender. Comes back and says it is in the back of menu he gave us. We say, "No, this only has wine by the glass. We are looking for "bottles". He scurries around looking at menus on other tables and then back for more consultation with bar tender. All the while I see what I think is the wine menu standing up at the end of the bar. Just as I am getting ready to go get what I think is the menu, it appears. And then the long lost server appears. We ask for a glass of rose for me and a bottle of Grgich Merlot for my husband and for dinner. He returns with glass of rose and a glass of red wine. "No, we want a bottle", we say and point to menu. More time elapses, he returns and says, "no Grgich". We had planned a back up and asked for a bottle of Walla Walla Tempernillo. Again point to menu. He disappears again, even more time elapses, and he returns with a bottle of Cabernet from the bar. So, at this point we surrender, deciding he doesn't know where the wine cellar is located, and accept the bottle. Wait. The saga continues: server returns and asks about dinner. We order. He disappears for another 5 minutes. Returns with his order pad and asks again what we would like for dinner. We order again. He appears to write order down. Salad comes. We finish it. Time elapsed. Kitchen server arrives with husband's entree. Places it between us. Bad sign. Another long wait. I tell Phil to go ahead and eat. Flag different server and ask about my entree. Original server reappears. He asks surprised. Hurries off. Time elapsed. Kitchen server arrived with another of husband's entree not mine! "No, we say we ordered steak and fries." Phil finishes his meal. Time elapsed. Finally, my steak arrives. All this time original server walks by and makes no eye contact. Bar tender comes by to clean table and offer a take away box. We decide against dessert and ask for bill. Husband goes to bar to pay bill, consults with bar tender and he goes and gets the manager. Manager excuses. Goes away and returns with new bill that removes glasses of wine and reduces entrees by 50%. The end of our fine dining experience. Laugh ourselves silly all the way to the car. Recommendations: 1. Don't plan a birthday dinner on Monday during the shoulder season at Shore Lodge 2. Just go to Salmon River Brewing Company.
