It was down one tick on a 3.5L engine so got short-changed a litre. I went back and they checked 3 times, 1 time was obvious, the other two the oil was thinner toward the full mark and they said that it was good. I wasted my time and now I have to buy oil to fill it and still down $100 for the change. Full-on gaslit and sent me on my way. This isn't the first time they've shorted me, either. Never going back.

Randy E, Online…read morethis past Thursday night we saw a 2019 Tacoma here at MHT. i wanted to buy my tacoma at a dealership for many advantages over a risky private sale or generic used car lot. We were not dissappointed, Martin at sales was not high pressure, very cool demeanor, honest on pricing, no games, Martin and Chad gave us a fair market value on the truck based on our research along with a cash discount and a great free option on the deal. At another lot was another Tacoma extended cab non TRD listed at 3,000.00 over our MHT price, when Martin told us their in house pricing was based on true market value i knew he was not full of BS. We had researched private sales previously too. Our Tacoma is TRD grade, tonneau, double cab, huge value in comparison. On test drive i felt a very slight steering wheel buzz vibration only at low coasting and then the slight buzz at acceleration, on test drive one is hyper sensitive to everything, only issue found on truck. Dan and technicians took truck for two test drives, checked all codes, assured me all was normal. Dan later told me he previously owned a 2020 Tacoma and that these trucks have normal minor shift transitions. That in itself would have sufficed to assure me, had i called Dan rather than sending my email with concern i could have saved him and staff grief. My concern was it might be early symptom of a tranny studder, Dans only concern was ensuring i was happy and confident in purchase, i rest easy now. Truck inspection was done the next day. The truck IMO was showroom before inspection and cleanup. I saw truck immediately after MHT just got it in and listed . MHT found a small stone chip and fixed it, there was one small little 3/8 x 1/2 inch paint scuff, i asked if it could be buffed out. Chad said they would try. The Tacoma is now sitting safe over weekend for chassis rubber coating to dry before i pick it up. They made appointment for me Monday morning so they can prepare ahead of time the process of finalizing the deal and our possesion. They offered extended warrantee, no pressure from Chad. Truck is like new but 175k kms, For about $2850.00 they offer max payout of 5000.00 on any repair over 5000.00 with as many claims needed til purchase price is expired on claims. Its a toyota, its not going to rack up warantee bills that equal purchase price. 4 years, 80 000 kms. We are thinking it over this weekend. My finalization of deal is not complete but I believe there wont be any negative suprises. Staff is giving me all previous service records, all inspection documents so i can do my future servicing on proper service order sndcyhus i know what i have. The 2019 Tacoma, it is the TRD DOUBLE CAB, long box, v6, auto. I cant believe the smooth ride, sure footed power, 1500 rpm at 110 kph, like fast idle at highway speed. Tow package. Tonneau cover. AND ITS A LONG BOX, i gave my 15 mpg 1500 Ram to my son, 6 ft box, big car. Also people, Toyotas are NOT a single DGI, direct gas injection. Toyota designed and patented the combined DGI and multi feul port system that wont clog up top end engine and cost yu big bucks for upper engine cleaning every 70k kms. It is this Toyota patented technology that allowed me to buy a newer truck. Without this system i would be forced to buy a 2016 and earlier truck. In 2016 at Park City we bought a 2014 Rav 4 AWD XLE with 18,000 kms on it, previous owner had extended warrantee 3 years full comprehensive before he traded it in. Doing all my own servicing, driving 200k plus kms, we have had 0 issue, never cast shadow garage. Car is new cond now, showroom except for tiny rust spot size of quarter under rear licence plate, will fix it. Ironic how back in 2014 people compained about Rav constant gear searching, we cant feel shifts, smooth as glass, they now complain of Tacoma same way, i want performance and economy in gear hunting, i dont miss old trannies taking forever to shift into next too high shift points as gas guzzles down throttle body wasting in slush mobiles. I asked Martin bout a new Rav4, he did his job showing us when my wife mentioned she was happy with current Rav4, Martin told her it would be in her best interest to keep it. It will go to 500k kms. I thought to myself that he is right and NOT high pressure. When I looked at our current Rav4 on lot in 2016 my inner voice (God) told me to buy it. Felt same when i saw this Tacoma too. Ended up taking the Honda Pilot to a different local Honda dealership a couple days later as there were some red flags. The Service Manager, within 20 minutes and a short test drive found several unserviceable items. -A defective driveshaft! I had brought it to the attention of several employees at Sun Valley, including a Manager, and all of them brushed it off claiming it to be 'a normal Pilot vibration' - Warped front wheel rotors, local Service Manager found within 1 minute of test drive, even before a visual confirmation - Extra set of rims/tires (included in sale offer) sent different model rims with wrong size tires and TPMS sensors not compatible with vehicle. - No headphones with factory installed DVD player, recommended I buy a set off Amazon. Sales team pitched and promised a great sale until the cheque was delivered and then they were more than reluctant to make every available excuse away from the deficiencies. Eventually after multiple calls to the Sales Manager regarding the bad drive-shaft they agreed to pay for the driveshaft part ONLY, not even the labour. When I advised about tire size and TPMS sensors, I was told "it is very common not to include functioning sensors with a tire/rim package"!!!???? My local Honda dealership is so frustrated and embarrassed by the actions of this other dealership that they have gone out of their way to help get the repairs accomplished and back to a safe vehicle. This was our first dealership purchased vehicle and we paid a premium to have the peace of mind and confidence we were getting a safe vehicle with the utmost transparency. Unfortunately, this is your typical used car sales lot with the standard tactics and deception. Beware, get another inspection done before you buy from these guys cause once the cash is gone your just a sales number to them!
