I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. When I got my truck back I pulled the dipstick only to find out that they changed the filter but did NOT change the oil. Needless to say to say I will not be a return customer and would caution anyone else to do business here. read more

I was near Delta when my vehicle developed a rapidly worsening front CV joint failure at 4:30 pm Wednesday. I made it in to Delta and went to TSC to buy a trailer hitch lock so I could park the trailer and have the vehicle towed. There was a Big O next door so I stopped in and asked if they could repair it. They looked up the part and found it available. They said could fix it the next day or the day after at the latest. I brought it in the next morning and was present when the mechanic called his mom in Grand Junction and asked her to run the part down to Delta from Grand Junction. They got my vehicle repaired by 10:30 am Thursday! I was thoroughly impressed with their service. I'm extremely grateful for their help in getting a traveler back on the road so quickly. Friendly competent folks in this Big O shop! I'd use them again if I lived nearby and have no hesitation to highly recommend this business! read more

Well today I got my back brakes and rotors replaced and it was a little more money then I planed on spending but I didn't realize how bad my back pads were and they ruined my rotors.so my fault.the guys at big o were very can and it took them a little while but they were very busy with only one machanic today. I made an appointment for new tires to be installed. After they were installed I was called out to the garage area to see the fluid coming from my struts. There was noticeable fluid. The employees suggested it was time to replace the struts. I declined. I then immediately went to my local mechanic who found no problems and no leakage from my struts. Just for my own interest I asked the local mechanic to quote me a price to replace the struts. It was 1/3 less than what Big O quoted--for a repair that was not needed. Two months later I took the vehicle in for a manufacturer's recall. While there the dealership also indicated no problem with the struts. I don't like to leave poor reviews so I waited two months before leaving this one. Hopefully, this will prevent someone else from being taken advantage of by this Big O location. read more

Both my boyfriend and I have had bad experiences here, on two separate occasions. I do not like to have my car worked on, and every time I go into an automotive place, even chains, I always leave feeling taken advantage of and this place is a good example of that. I had my oil changed there once, and it cost me a little over $100, and then a few months later I decided to give the Wal-mart's auto center a try instead and I got the same service for just over $45. When my boyfriend was looking for a part for his car, they said that they would be able to order it and replace it for him. The estimates they gave him were the most affordable in town, so he decided to give it a shot. He left his car there, and somebody began working on it, then gave up for the night. My boyfriend was given a company truck and drove it home. When he went back the next day after work to check on the car, he was told that there was nothing they could do for him and that the person who began working on the car shouldn't have even tried to take it apart. Then they tried to charge him for the parts that they ordered but did not use nor give him. He called the Big O customer services and asked if this was supposed to happen, and they told him it wasn't, so he didn't have to pay for it, because they didn't actually do anything. In the end, he was not charged, but they sure did try. Would recommend the Wal-mart or just someone else. read more

They have changed management at Big O in Delta and that's a shame. I brought a punctured run flat tire to them first thing this morning after checking on on the web to see if a run flat tire could be repaired. While you can't believe everything you read on the internet, I learned that if the puncture is in the crown, not the sidewall and the tire is otherwise in good shape, it can be repaired like any other tire. Not so, said the guy behind the desk today. He didn't look at the tire. He didn't ask if I bought it there (I had). He just declared that all run flat tires were non-repairable and that I would have to buy a whole new tire. This brings up the point that his next statement would have been - without seeing the rest of the tires, he wouldn't sell me just one. Probably will solve my next problem of where I'm going to buy my next set of Blizzaks (they run around $300 each). Oh - I would have been the first customer of the day and there was absolutely nobody else with a vehicle (or a tire) ahead of me. I think they went out of their way to make sure they weren't a service business today. *Update: To Big O's credit, an attempt to contact me (via this site's message feature) happened within a few hours of this review being posted. Yelp reviews evidently get store's attention, too! I appreciate that reached out to learn more about my visit. Unfortunately, by the time I heard back from Big O, I'd already gotten my tire serviced at another tire shop in Delta. It cost $15 which was fair - the tire wasn't purchased there. This store's manager loaded my tire back into my truck and said when I was ready for fresh snow/ice treads, come on back! Could be another review in the future... read more

Service here is terrible. My girlfriend and I took her car in for a simple alignment and tire rotation and it took them over 2 hours to get it done. We had several people who came in after us and we're helped and sent on their way before our vehicle was even pulled into the maintenance bay. On top of all that one of the employees that works at the counter is short and unfriendly every time we've been in there. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

Worst tire place around. Would not go here if it was the last shop in town. They lied multiple times via email telling me that managers had been in contact with me regarding my issues, said they quoted me to fix the issues I was having. None of this was quoted to me and the problem was not fixed and I was sent on my way in an unsafe vehicle. Funny that they "quoted" me on my brakes and I'm suddenly having brake issues right when I leave their shop. They did an alignment on my vehicle even though it had a bad tie rod and the alignment will not stay properly until that repair is done first. read more

This is the first time I have gone in and downgraded a rating. I used to love the quality of service at Big O. I trusted the guys to give me good advice, especially the store manager (I believe his name was Dennis). Dennis is no longer there and I have really started to question the quality and validity of the service. Plus, the prices have really gone up too. I am a 73 year old woman & this is the first time I have ever written a complaint about anything. I have dealt with Big O in Delta for many years & have always been happy with their employees & service. I brought my 2004 Durango to them approximately 3 weeks ago having trouble with the battery & possibly the alternator. I was told it was the alternator & they would replace it along with my battery with a much better battery then the WalMart one that was already in my car & a better alternator too!! [That was the original alternator.]. They would replace all that for a measly $700 & something dollars. I didn't get past the $700. Well apparently I had "STUPID" written across my forehead because they actually wanted me to schedule an appointment. Hahaha!! So be careful ladies if you are over 70, a widow or single please watch for that "STUPID" sign that seems to appear out of no where. You might want to bring your son, boyfriend, neighbor or grab a homeless person. It might make a difference. PS: my battery & alternator are just fine !! read more

On the way thru Delta a few weeks ago, we stopped at this store to get a pair of new tires on our 5th wheel camper trailer. The service team jumped right on it and we were back on the road in less than an hour. Was a little disappointed they didn't carry the trailer tire brand I wanted (some other Big O stores do), but hopefully the tires they sold me will hold up better than the ones that had to be replaced. no stars is likely the best and we. stay far away from this place. the services are overpriced and the desire to mislead one to purchasing unneeded fast and expensive service is job one here. went in for an oil change that I was expecting to be 75 or so. They offered a free alignment and a tire rotation. the tire rotation was worded along with the free alignment check that seemed to be a free alignment and a free tire rotation. I was never presented an estimate either verbal or written but told they could get it right in. I asked if it would be about a half hour and the response was maybe an hour or so. They pulled pickup in and very shortly came out and said I have a couple problems I will need yt?yo address. the showed me stabilizer bars hanging not attached and they could fix both. I asked about time and answer wad we can still get you out in about the hour. he worked up an estimate I neither saw nor fully understood say ing he could keep it at 180 $. I assumed this was the full cost not an additional charge. twenty minutes later he told me they had found another problem and could not do an alignment check because the ball joints were bad. I asked how severe this was. it's not a safety issue but that could fail in the future. when I asked how soon the failure would occur the answer was sometime not sure when. when I pressed for approximation he was unwilling to venture asz guess. so when I asked why his interest in an oil job had turned to selling parts and labor on unrelated jobs and then presented me with a fact that I was north of 300 $ for services so far I asked him to take for parts off and give me the old ones. he stated old parts were gone. when I mentioned no trash was picked up in my wait the dug some parts out of trash and stated they were ruined when they took them off. when I mentioned they had unsold my wife on 1600 $ in unwanted or unneeded services in the previous trip they were quick to just have me leave with no charge and a good day the oil change on us. having been I retail management my entire life I recognized this as a most unusual and unheard of practice. you don't update hundreds of dollars on a service that is just and then just change to I am sorry just go away be very wary of any services here. read more
