Very cool and unique design that fits in with the rest of the vibe in this quirky and creative strip of shops, eateries, bars and business fronts. Overall cool idea and it appears to be popular. I see a lot of photo ops around the city with these massive bifocals.

Gallopalooza horses are a public art fixture in the city of Lousiville Kentucky that pay homage to…read morethe cities horse racing and thoroughbred legacy. These uniquely colorful painted horses are spread throughout the city. Majority are purchased by local business and proceeds went to charity. This particular horse is located in the Saint Mathews community of the city and sits out front of a local nursery/flower shop called Nanz & Kraft Florists. True to the business it sit in front of name this gallopalooza horse features mainly floral art work and is always a pleasure to check out when riding through or walking the Saint Mathews area near Breckinridge lane.

Gallopalooza horses is a series of brightly decorated derby horse sculptures spread throughout the…read morecity of Louisville to honor the cities rich tradition of horse racing. They were mainly purchased by businesses for charity causes in the early 2000's. This particular horse is purchased by sacred heart model school and sits on the schools massive campus at the entrance of Ursuline hall on there campus. This horse has been well taken care of and still boasts bright and lovely pantings on the gallopalooza horse. Overall I enjoy discovering these horses spread throughout the city. I've made a minor goal of mine to take the time to pay more attention to these and appreciating them as I come Across them.

It's neat that Louisville has made many of their bike racks into art pieces, but I don't think I saw anyone riding a bike on either of my trips to Louisville! Red arrow sculpture is a dual purpose sculpture that is not only a piece of public art but also a…read morefunctioning bike rack. This particular rack is of a red arrow and is Located right I in front of ehrlers I've cream in downtown Lousiville off Main Street. So somehow I just recently discovered that back in 2008/2009 the city of Louisville hired multiple sculptors or artists for what they called the bike rack program. With the goal of making unique and artistic bike racks and spread them throughout the city of Louisville. This red arrow is one of those 20 plus bike racks created for the initiative. Overall pretty neat find and lead me to discovering the bike rack project. So now I have my eye out for fun little sculptures and will have to look at then placard on the ground to see if they are apart of the bike rack series here in Lousiville.
