The stained glass is lovely and adds the perfect touch for a small wedding or gathering. The venue has ample room for guests and parking is adequate. The location is easy to get to and a small town location means no traffic. Inside, this church is surprisingly spacious with plenty of light coming through the stained glass. Seating was comfortable and there was enough room between guests, without feeling crowded. The church was repurposed as a venue in 2021 and what a great idea this was, both preserving history and giving locals the opportunity to experience life changing events inside. Outside, the church has quaint architecture and is located on a quiet street. Everything comes together to make Water To Wine Venue And Hall a perfect choice for people who love history and want a quaint setting for their events.

Our event hosts were wonderful and gracious, but I can't help but feel terrible seeing how uncomfortable people were here. We attended a wedding here with roughly 150 people, and it was incredibly tight, hot, and uncomfortable. The chairs and tables set up for dinner were jam-packed so tight, that no one was seated comfortably, sitting with the tables pressing into our stomachs as we ate. For one person to stand up and leave the row, the entire row had to stand up and step out of the row to make room. There was also no room to move around between tables, and because of this, it took almost an entire hour just to get all the attendees through the buffet. Even after getting food, the lack of space meant nobody could get a water refill (which could've been avoided had they been filled before guests were seated), or get up to use the bathroom. Speaking of which, there were only 3 working toilets in the entire venue, one of which had a door that didn't lock, and apparently had flooded earlier in the day. I would strongly recommend ownership take a look at their liability if there was an emergency in the room with so many people and so little ability to move. In addition to being much too small for 200 people, the area set up for the dance floor is clearly not fit to have even 50 people dancing. With roughly 30 dancers, the floor visibly bowed up and down to a dangerous level. It also appears there is no air conditioning at this venue, the heat inside the building was incredibly uncomfortable, even when it was only 75 degrees outside. There were only 2 ceiling fans in the main area. What's worse, was the lack of water. There was no water brought up to the main area until very late in the evening, you had to walk downstairs to get more, and no additional cups were provided for anyone to get the water that was provided. Parking was also an issue, it was necessary to have everyone double or even triple park to fit everyone in, there is absolutely not enough space for a 200-person event to park at this facility. Overall, the event space is beautiful and gorgeously decorated, but is clearly only fit for smaller events of less than 100 people. I would highly recommend the ownership of this venue revise their recommendations for party sizes.

This place is very cool...very cool indeed…read more A rating of five stars, based on atmosphere alone, would be appropriate! Obviously the theme is richly macabre. The spirit of Edgar Allan Poe, and Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega version) would find themselves very much at home in Nocturnal! Fortunately, the appeal of this place goes well beyond its cool vibe. The coffee is great. It's potent. It more than satisfied my incessant desire for STRONG FLAVORS! The other drinks that I tried were excellent as well. I didn't try any pastries or other snacks, but I have to admit that they looked very tempting. At first I would have thought that this place seems a little out of place in downtown Monroe. But after coming here a few times, and checking out the very interesting crowd, I realize that I was mistaken. I'll definitely be back, and I'll bring the wife. She'll love it too. Five stars!!

Like I said.....a.....vibe......They were playing industrial rock music which is also a choice for 9 am. The building is neat. Exposed brick and the decorative touches give this place a New Orleans feel. I really enjoyed it. The coffee and service were both very good. I had a latte and it was quite smooth. I would definitely recommend it. You can add flavor for a small charge but I just had it plain. We also ordered a peanut butter explosion cookie. Wow was it rich and decadent. We couldn't finish it but I loved the peanut butter whip on top. So good! If I lived in the area I would be a regular. Highly recommended.

It was major for me to know that details were taken care of (because I was a liiittle busy the day of the wedding), and looking out from the head table, it was clear that every detail Jim and I had discussed was perfectly in place. The entire hall was divided in two, half for the ceremony, seating 100, while the other half of the hall was for the reception. Review: I have to say this was a great experience. The owner, Jim LaRoy did a wonderful job communicating with us throughout the entire process. We had so many questions, and much of the planning, like always was done last minute. Mr. LaRoy did a great job, and runs a great hall. The food was wonderful, there was plenty of it, and it was buffet style. My wife and I are not fancy people that need a $75.00 plate of food for the wedding, we enjoyed the "comfort" foods, that were prepared very well. We did not hear one negative comment about the food the entire night! Open bar was great, dance floor was great, and overall layout was great. The price per person was very low compared to other places we looked into before booking. We were able to use the money to invite many extra people instead of going to a very expensive venue. Overall, a very nice banquet hall, especially at the hall. Proud to have had my wedding experience here, we will never forget our special night here!

Due to this, I am not sure why i had to pay over $200 for a room PLUS the outrageous fee for "water park" entry. In any other hotel/water park combo's that I have visited, your hotel comes with the entry in one bundle... and I have been to much better combo's for less money. The water in the splash park was SO cold we could only stay in for 15 minutes before my daughters' lips turned blue. Total waste of money! All night long children were running through the halls, even playing ding dong ditch. The guests directly upstairs sounded like a herd of elephants ALL NIGHT LONG. I came with a 1 year old and a 3 year old and none of us slept throughout the night. I called the office about it but it continued throughout the night/early morning. There was nothing else about this hotel and waterpark was even average. I have never had such consistently poor service from any other vacation-type destination. Check-in is woefully understaffed and results in lines. We had to have our room key remade twice because it stopped working... There was a ten minute wait at the front desk both times. The in-house restaurant is where we found the worst service. It was as though they were surprised to see guests, and after our experience, I see why. We ate dinner there and waited to place our order, waited for drinks, burgers were overcooked, and all three burgers were gone by the time the mustard we requested made it to the table. We made the mistake of eating at the breakfast buffet the next morning. We waited 25 minutes to be seated, while staring at several (not sure if it was 4 or 5) empty tables the entire time. Once seated, it was another 20 minutes before anyone stopped to take a drink order, and then another 10 minutes before we received our bill. My family will never return to this location.
