Cheers! This is a cool little locals hangout - it has a dive bar feel to it. I've been a few times so I can finally leave a review! I've visited on karaoke nights - which are always a good time. When people aren't singing the DJ is playing a great mix of songs that everyone can vibe to. They have three areas - a patio side which is smoke friendly, an inside and a restaurant side. The bartenders are laid back and attentive. And the most recent visit they suggested I try the pizza rolls - and they were amazing. Its a no frills bar with a good vibe. What more could you need? I didn't have any expectations, with so many Bar&Grill places around. I went between 1:30-2:30 afternoon. The place was not busy. I sat at a booth and the bar tender was very pleasant in bringing the menu and taking my order. The beer on tap is very cold. I ordered the fried zucchini to eat there and the baked ziti to go. The zucchini was super tasty and the big portion filled me up. The ZITI! The Flavor is AMAZING. So So Savory. I was able to make 3 meals of it at home because of the HUGE amount of food. Went to this place because they are known as a Kansas City Chiefs Bar and was not disappointed. They are very spacious and enough room to social distance in this time of Covid and all. They did have hand sanitzers all around the venue and the people were friendly. They had a back room for Chiefs fans which was awesome and they had a whole wall full of TV's in the front. Their food was surprisingly good for bar food (no offense to them as a bar). You just usually don't expect good food all the time when you are going to a sports bar to primarily drink. The bartender was our water and he had to walk to the back to serve us but he was cool about it and nice. He dropped some of our drinks so he didn't charge us for most of them and even bought us a shot to make up for it. I will definitely be going back to watch more games here especially once this pandemic has run it's course. They have pool tables, bar area, tables, and booths so if you are needing a place to watch football and have some drinks, definitely give them a shot. Loaded burger. Beef is made with onions, mushrooms, and bacon. You can also get jalapeños in it. On top they put 5 different cheeses Swiss, cheddar, peeper jack, American and blue cheese. I did not have the Swiss or cheddar on mine. Meat was very tasty and juicy . Also the bun was perfect amount of bread to meat ratio. The fries were nice and thick. Service is excellent here. Drafts on Sunday were $2.50. They also make a really good Bloody Mary. The music they play is a great mixture of classic 70 and 80 rock. I would definitely come back here again. My buddy Tod wanted to watch Ortega UFC fight tonight here that's what brought us at this sports bar. Initially when we see their rating we were like hell no. But when we got inside we were like hell ya!! Lot of preety ladies and it was fun we ended of standing for an hour though coz it all full . We stopped here quickly after having landed in Dallas and before we started our trip to Abilene. We weren't too sure what to expect since every state is upside down right now and the rules seem to be different just from one place to another. We walked in and sat at the bar and the bartender right away asked if we knew how it worked there. Nope. So he went on to explain that if we wanted to have a drink we would need to order food and it would have to be to go. Fair enough. We ordered some mules and perused the menu. It's pretty straight forward bar food and after traveling most of the morning it didn't sound too exciting but we needed something so I went with chicken tenders. The bartender was great and they took enough time getting the food out so that I was able to enjoy a couple of drinks before we had to be kicked out, lol you're not allowed to hang out after you get your food. Tenders were tenders but I appreciated the bartender being friendly, pouring a good drink and being masked and clean. I went to Big Shots in Bedford Friday evening 2/22/19. Ordered the chicken fried steak (very good) and a cold beer. Typical Friday evening crowd, young, loud and smokey! I was pleased for the most part, but this post isn't about that. I asked for my check and paid with a credit card. My wallet contained a little over $700 cash and a couple checks, credit cards etc. the normal important documents and I laid it on the bar and FORGOT IT! I didn't realize my stupidity until Saturday morning when I was going to the bank to deposit the money. I went back to BS and my wallet was in the managers office untouched thanks to the honesty of the bartender and staff! I will go back and become a regular there, I love and admire honest people. We got there and stood around for a few minutes while everyone at the bar just stared at us. There were no employees around to seat us, so we finally just sat ourselves. About 10 minutes later our waitress comes up and gets our drink order and leaves without asking if we wanted appetizers or if we were ready to order. I ordered a burger - fully loaded (stuffed with onions, mushrooms, garlic, bacon, and jalapenos and topped with 5 different kinds of cheese) with buffalo chips. The wait for our food wasn't particularly fast or slow. I asked our waitress for ranch to dip our buffalo fries in and when she returned I apologized and asked if we could get some BBQ sauce too (my burger came out dry and I wasn't going to put ketchup and mustard on a burger with bleu cheese). In the time that it took her to go get a side of BBQ sauce (which she didn't even get - she brought terryaki sauce), I had finished almost all of my fries and my husband was practically done with his whole meal. By this time I was too hungry to care about the sauce and put it on my burger anyway. The burger was cooked perfectly. I cut it half because it was so large. The first half was very mild and I could barely taste any of the fillers; the second half was so hot that my lips were burning - uneven distribution of filling. Our waitress' boyfriend came in and they were cuddling with each other literally 5 ft from our table. We had finished eating and were waiting for our check while she was hugging on her boyfriend right next to us. Meh - I was a bit shocked with my experience once entering Big Shots last Friday evening. The hubby and I went to Big Shots to get out of the house and have a few drinks. Our experience was pretty weird in my opinion. First: the music? Seriously, who needs heavy metal baring in their ears at 5:30 pm?! We asked teh waitress about the loud music - she said they get bored and the music keeps them going during the boring moments. WTH? Second: The waitstaff. I did ask if they had raspberry vodka for a refreshing vodka tonic. She looked at me as though I had two heads. Raspberry vodka and tonic - pretty simple. She was unsure about the tonic situation as well. The food was pretty decent though, we were happy with that portion of our adventure. We got a small side of the buffalo chips - they were tasty. We also got the queso and chips dish. The cheese was straight up velveeta - but the chips were really good. However, they put some weird seasoning on the chips and it was kind of sweet tasting. We asked the waitress about the seasoning - she said they bought them like that. Still didn't get a real answer on the chips. Overall - it was a place for us to sit, have a drink and and then walk home. LOL! I guess we'd go back simply for convenience - other than that I'd likely never go back. Odd group of patrons also. My friends and I used to be regulars and it was a good place to go. None of us go there anymore. Our major complaint is service. .. Or more accurately the lack of service! After bringing issues to the owners attention, some changes were made but the bad behavior always returned. The staff spent more time talking to each other and texting than serving paying customers. Another Yelper loved the Cubana panini. Every time I ordered one the pulled pork was burned. Try one at Papa Gs. Their is 100 times better. Don't order the bacon wrapped shrimp. .. More than one of us got sick after eating them. When the meatloaf was getting past its prime, they covered it in sauce going you wouldn't see the burned areas. I was told John Taffer was there to do a bar rescue but left. Even he couldn't save this place! The Kelcher brothers have their fingers in to many ventures and this one doesn't get enough attention. Horrible. We found a Groupon for this place and decided to try it. Uhhhh, no.... From coming inside and no idea if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not... Couldn't find anyone that worked here so we finally seated ourselves.... To the LOUD HORRIBLE rap music to the food I couldn't eat because the bun was so hard (I got a pulled pork sandwich) I asked for another bun. She brought me another bun just as hard..... To our server sitting right in front of us with her back turned to us in a meeting.... It has been a good 15 minutes and we are STILL waiting for our check and she is just still sitting.... Big Shots Sports Cafe is my new hangout for Saturday afternoons & for any night I want to watch a sports event on TV! This place is great! The club design flows smoothly, and every direction you look, there is a television with a different sports channel being aired! My wife & I went on a Saturday afternoon, just to test out the local flavor. We were very impressed with the atmosphere & the style of the bar. Also, there was a texas hold-em poker tournament going on in the dining area, so needless to say the place was packed. They have poker nights Wednesday and Saturday and always have whatever game is playing on the many TV's/big screen TV. Other patrons said its a great place to come and watch UFC also. The food was okay, greasy but great for hangovers or with your alcoholic beverage of choice. I had the club sandwich (Cali Club) and chose the buffalo fries, which I have to admit, were quite good -just enough spice/kick. Staff in our experience was great. The bartenders are very generous with their shots and drink prices aren't too bad. They have ping pong which is pretty rare at a bar. I think it's actually a first for me. I would give it zero if I could, I have been to this sports bar 4 times I am a mother with my adult son. and 3 times they didn't ask to hold my card and the last time the lady said she had to hold a debit card because it's "policy" to hold a customers card who is only here for food and doesn't order a single drink. They did not ask the other table seated next to us that I appears to be a family with two younger kids for their credit card. I am not drinking alcohol since we are going to a mall to shop. I feel discriminated against. This will be the very last time I would patronize this establishment. Too many places in Dallas to spend my money. While I did have a favorite bar food dish here. The temperature in the place was an uncomfortable 64 degrees according to my phone. When we complained to the manager - he was very unapologetic and a bit rude.
