Terrific food and great service in a country club grill setting with amazingly reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

If you live anywhere between Dallas and Fort Worth, this is a really great option for a casual but attentive meal. I went for my fourth time recently, this time for breakfast. This is inside the Texas Star Golf Course, but no membership is required to dine in the restaurant. Nice surroundings, super friendly staff, and extremely reasonable prices. Definitely a hidden gem in the area.

Had a chance to come here for a meeting last month. I've never heard of Raven's Grille and it's off the beaten path. However, very nice place. So we were in a large room. It's the dining room for a golf course. No membership was required to eat there. I saw reviews for the CFS and decided on the smaller portion. Thankfully! I can't imagine eating the large portion. The server came out pretty quick and I was pretty impressed when I saw the plate. Loved the white gravy and the CFS was very good. Not a huge fan of the fried zucchini but it was ok.

Great food at ridiculous prices, friendly people and a cool view! If we lived close to Raven's we would eat there every week!

Still love this spot, although we don't get to come by here too much. We came for breakfast last weekend, and got breakfast tacos with a waffle to split with coffee and soda, and it was just super affordable, y'all. They may not be gourmet, but they do know how to make some comfort food! They also had masks on their servers, sanitzer as you come in, and the table were perfectly spaced so that every one felt safe. I really appreciate the great service in the midst of all that!

My youngest daughter tried the chicken fried chicken. Although she couldn't finish it, she took the leftovers home. Too good to waste!

Through a recommendation, I decided to try out this place. I really wanted to give this place 5…read morestars but my first time experience was not as great as I'd hoped. Let's get to the good stuff; the food was delicious. I ordered the blackened tilapia, which came with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes, but I requested to have the vegetables replaced with just steamed broccoli. My server, Shereen, is super kind and accommodating, and thus I waited patiently for the food. I visited when there was only 1 group of people inside. Because I was a single individual ordering 1 meal, I expected the food to be out at a reasonable time. As I waited, 3 more groups of people arrived after I ordered. Eventually, 2 of those groups got their food. By this point I had waited for 20 minutes for a single tilapia dish, and my server knew it was getting unreasonable. She came over to reassure me it's coming, and offered to discount my meal. By the 30 minute mark, she came over again to check in. I eventually got the meal, but noticed that the steamed vegetables weren't replaced by the broccoli I requested. In the end, I received my singular dish and separate plate of broccoli after 35-40 minutes. As much as the food was delicious, portions were smaller than I thought. I might come back to give this place another chance and hope my experience gets better.

Heard about Zack's on a Facebook foodie group and I was glad I read the Yelp reviews before going…read more The restaurant is located in a 2 story strip shop and their sign is small and obscure. We were instructed to seat ourselves and choose one of the 4 padded booths along the wall. The other seating was table and chairs and relatively small. There's a separate lunch menu and a larger one with more choices and larger portions. Their dessert menu is not included but definitely ask about them; some are house made. My friend and I informed the server that we were going to split two different entrées. She said she would bring extra bowls and we could split it ourselves. To me this is not an unusual request and would be much easier if done in the kitchen. The beef stroganoff and pecan crusted chicken and pasta with pesto sauce were both delicious. The portions were large enough that we were able to take some leftovers home. I liked the bread a lot; it was thin and perfectly toasted. I checked their online menu ahead of time and realized that it is different than the one we received. The pecan crusted chicken was a nice surprise.

All was five stars except for the hostess (1 star) and the waitstaff over the course of the evening (4.5). Four of us arrived first. We told her we had a large party reservation. Honestly, all four of us commented on how she looked and acted like we were inconveniencing her. We all even were above kind with thank yous and bright attitudes to be met with an annoyed stare and no response as we were seated. The hostess sets the tone - and for a party of 10 spending hundreds for a meal, at this point we were shocked. Our waitress was kind and funny. They were busy, so we waited a long time for water refills, and honestly, the waitstaff each looked frazzled. Any time someone came to our table, there was final eye contact, grumbles, and then they left. Be happy you're busy ... be kind... Perhaps this was an off night for staff? I waitressed for years, and I'm always surprised when the waitstaff is rude/ not overly friendly for a larger party ordering alcohol, dinner, and dessert. We will be back to find out if it's a one off or not, as we try only to support local.

Last night was our first and last visit to Chef Point -- overall mediocre service and food…read more The Service Our server, Samantha, treated water refills like a rare delicacy -- my glass sat empty most of the evening, and getting sugar for my husband's tea took three separate requests. She was a bit awkward during engagements but I didn't think much of it until it was time to pay. Before handing over the card reader, Samantha preemptively selected the 24% tip for us -- no ask, no eye contact, just vibes. This came right after she asked us to leave a 5-star review so she could win her team's $100 competition prize for getting reviews. Nothing says "you've earned this tip" like guilt-tripping the customer into funding it. The Food On Samantha's recommendation, I ordered the chicken parm -- a decision I will be mourning for a while. The chicken was dry enough to double as kindling, and the red sauce tasted like it skipped the kitchen and went straight from jar to plate. The portion was massive, which would be a plus if the food were good -- instead it just gave me guilt as two-thirds of a $30 entrée went straight to the trash. The Verdict Two stars -- one for the generous portion sizes, one for the rest of the restaurant staff. Skip the chicken parm, bring your own sugar, and maybe don't hand over your card reader without checking it first.
