Can I go less than 1 star? Do not trust Big Sandy to do the right thing! They sold us a defective "multi-media" couch and charged nearly $400 to "return" it to the store. They have a 3 day return policy, even if you had an open work order on the 2nd day. We went to the store nearly every other day, for 2 weeks, asking "for help" but, to get support to come fix the problem you must pay up $137. With this level of customer service and support, I am not sure how they stay in business. No not buy anything from them if you expect customer service after the sale. read more

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. I purchased a new couch in September, and it wasn't delivered until October. The ottoman was finally delivered late November. I purchased all of the additional warranties, etc. Within 2 weeks of actually "using" the sectional (without the ottoman- the ottoman finally was delivered late November) I discovered that there was an issue with stuffing coming out of one of the back cushions. Reported it, because I had purchased all the fail/safe warranties, etc. Fast forward to today after NUMEROUS texts/calls about it.... they informed me that the piece to fix it would not be in until APRIL!?!? No other options available except let a tech come to "look" at it?!?! Lesson learned.... and save yourself the frustration, do not buy from them. read more

The service at store was excellent. Joe was very helpful and knowledgeable about items available. The sale transaction was easy-peasy. However, delivery was an issue. I had a doctor appointment the morning of our scheduled delivery. My husband was home to accept delivery of our laundry set. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the washer and dryer was not the matching set we purchased. When I arrived home, I noticed the issue right away and a phone call was made to BIG Sandy to inform of the error. Delivery of the correct washer was scheduled the following day. Since I had already planned an out of town trip for this day, I have not had the opportunity to try out the new washer/dryer. Since I left a short time after delivery, I am afraid I am unable to comment on the use of the laundry set at this time. With the rising cost of prices as of late, I suppose the price of the set was within reason. read more

The communication and service weve received has been terrible from our internet salesperson, Evan. I purchased Forno appliances (range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator) in March. At the time of order we were told the refrigerator would be delivered late April or early May. He knew this order was for a new build therefore not replacing current appliances. I received all of my appliances except the refrigerator on May 19. At this time I was told the refrigerator would be in late May or early June. I've never recieved an update from my salesperson without calling into the corporate office or texting a local store for assistance but since it was an internet sale, the store cannot help much. Its now June 5th and I am being told now that I will not recieve my fridge until end of July. Thats 4.5 months after placing my order, and that's if they dont push it out again. Big Sandy has not offered any solution such as a rental until my order is delivered or anything. We moved into our home 3 weeks ago, going another 7 weeks at minimum without a fridge we paid for 3 months ago is just unacceptable. Poor inventory management on Big Sandy's end. We've purchased furniture multiple times from Big Sandy, but after this experience, I doubt we will again. read more

My dishwasher broke down the week before Thanksgiving. I bought a new one that was identical to my old one. I thought things would go smoothly and as planned if no modifications were necessary. When it was delivered there was a huge dent in the door. They took it back and brought another on on Monday. After the installation and the installers left the door started catching and wouldn't close unless you literally had to "twist and torque" the door to close it. Today ( another Monday) another installation crew came and fixed the original improper installation. I could not post negative stars. I could use a new washer. We have waited for Big Sandy to " fix" our washer for over 6 weeks. The machine is not even a year old. I can't use it . I still make the payment. I hope you will be a stand up business Big Sandy. So far you are dropping the ball. This was my original post. Another week and another failed service call has gone by. Still no resolution. We cant get the manager on the phone so we decided to stop in. We did get the office manager . We are now contacting the better business bureau. Where do I start? We purchased a fridge and was delivered very damaged. The doors were dented and a screw was laying in the bottom of the freezer. We called to have a replacement sent and was put on the schedule to shave a delivery the next delivery day. On the first delivery they put a huge scratch across my hardwood floors along with the damaged fridge. After that, we had five other deliveries scheduled and each time the product was either damaged on the truck, damaged when they were unloading it or just didn't have the product to deliver. I get that products are not perfect but with each delivery schedule my wife had to take time off work to be here. On several of the deliveries they didn't even show because the product was damaged when it was loaded but they failed to let us know and let us take off work and not get paid. I had to reach out to them each time. They did not ever call and let us know they were not delivering. After 2 months and finally getting a fridge that wasn't damaged they offer me $120 for the inconvenience. Seriously!!!!!!! We used up 4 days of protected time off and they offered us $120. The fridge was the same price at lowes and the 5 year service was actually over $100 cheaper to purchase from Lowe's. But I have always had great service from big sandy until now. i Went and got furniture and a few bigger appliances from here and I had them delivered. upon delivery the delivery drivers were very unprofessional & upon installing the appliances & sitting the furniture, the items were damaged. They refused to take the items back after showing the damage done & they sent their repair team out to look and repair the items. It is now 7 months in & the part they have ordered has not came in and still have broken appliances. It's came down to the point I had to go to lowes to get the stuff that was needed. would not recommend them to anyone. absolutely terrible experience & others I have talked to has had similar experiences. I took my mom to Big Sandy to buy a tv. The service was great. Everyone was nice and the tv was delivered in the time frame they told us. The only thing I had issue with is that the guy that sold us the tv said the delivery man would unbox the tv and connect her cable to it for us. However when they came to deliver he told us the only thing he could do was plug the tv in and that he is not allowed to connect anything to it. If I had known this we wouldn't have purchased the protection plan that gave us free delivery. read more

I am thrilled with my furniture and the sales staff were knowlegeable and helpful but not aggressive or pushy. Due to Covid affecting manufacturing there was quite a long waiting period for my delivery. My only complaint is that the items listed as being delivered today didn't match with what was delivered. The staff should have noticed this at loading time and rectified it or notified me of the later delivery date for the missing sofa set. Also, no gloves or masks were worn by delivery staff. Purchased a sound bar and a week later asked to return it still NEW in box NEVER opened because (it would not fit in the space I needed it too) and they said that they only have a 3 day return policy. SERIOUSLY?? They have the worst customer service of any company I've ever been to. They informed me that they would consider giving me $200 for the sound bar. I paid over $320!! Absolutely love my new bedroom suite!!! It is absolutely stunning. The only thing I will say is that certain sales reps here are very pushy, one lady in particular. I believe we had to tell her at least 10-20 times we didn't want the extended warranty. My husband finally had to get pretty assertive with her, which was awkward lol. Other than that we had a good experience! The delivery guys were great as well!! Had a full bedroom suite and mattress carried in my house and assembled in one hour! Like I said, my only recommendation would be for the sales people to tone it down a little bit. Being THAT overbearing only makes customers feel uncomfortable, which leads to them leaving. I have never recieced worse customer service anywhere. I spent $6000 at the Chesapeake store. When my stuff arrived my TV was busted, the handles and hardware wasn't with my TV stand, and my adjustable bed didn't work. At first they wanted to repair the TV rather than replace it. After several arguements and me telling them that it was broke before opening the box they agreed to replace it, as they should have. They finally came and fixed the bed but knew nothing about the TV stand. That took longer to fix. The remote for the adjustable bed broke. I called to ask about buying a new one. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. I bought an adjustable bed due to having several spine surgeries. After waiting weeks for a return phone call I started calling them. First I was told it was orderd, then I was told it wasn't something they could get and I had to but it directly from the manufacturer. I called the number they gave and it was a CELL PHONE number to the WHOLESALERS . Needless to say he wasn't thrilled his number had been given out. He said that they were not supposed to sell directly to me, but that Big Sandy most definitely could order that remote.. fast forward to mid Dec and im still trying to get this resolved. When I asked customer service for a name, number or even email to someone in corporate they refused . They wouldn't even give me the mailing address. I wouldn't buy anything from this company. While the salespeople are friendly, the customer service and repairs for appliances were the worst I've ever experienced or heard of. You have to pay just for the service tech to show up, then they have to order parts so your down a few weeks. Our repairs did not hold, then customer service tried to get us to pay again for the parts that were just installed a week earlier that were guaranteed. They finally accepted this after I made numerous calls trying to move things along. Then we had to keep calling to get the service tech back out to tell us it was a factory defect and we should get a new fridge. But someone decided to send a service mgr. out with the service guy to make repairs. But this is after we've dealt without having a fridge for about five or six weeks now. No apologies, no refunds, no other offers, = very poor customer service. read more

After hearing nothing for weeks, we finally reached out and were told the 3 piece set was waiting on one item and that it would be delivered the first week of April. Again, we did not hear anything last week. My husband called again and we were told everything would be in by the 8th. My husband called today for an update and he was informed that they weren't sure why he was told that, we should expect our order to be delivered on April 20TH. Horrible customer service. Different day, same situation. They are quick to jump on you when you go through the door, but the financial and clerical staff at the desk is clueless. Same staff has been there for a couple of years and same mess ups. We have spend thousands of dollars at this location to stand at the counter for hours to pay and received damaged goods a couple of times. I bought a washer and dryer set 5days ago and they delivered them yesterday. The delivery was seamless and the men that delivered them were great. As far as the salesperson that helped me, he was very professional and very helpful in helping me make my decision. Now the only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because at first I was going to finance the appliances. The salesperson took me and introduced me to the lady that does the financing and she was very nice but then I had to go to the big desk in the middle because I wanted to put some money down on my purchases and the lady that was to assist me acted like it was such a hassle to do this. Like she was not absolutely positive of what to do that I just went ahead and paid cash for what I got. So if they can better train their workers in that area and not make a customer feel like they were causing a hassle by wanting to put money down on a purchase that would be great and I definitely would have given a 5. read more

As the other reviewer says...DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. Purchased a sofa and chair set 2 months ago and the fabric is horrible; foam is breaking down. Extended warranty states it covers both, however Big Sandy says "normal wear and tear".
