My wife and I purchased a bedroom suite for our new home and paid for the entire transaction fully that day with coverage and delivery. 1 month passes and delivery is set up for a Saturday, bedroom suite comes with incorrect rails with no drawers and no slats take pictures send to office to address issue my wife and I sleep on the floor for 2 days Big Sandy then gets slats so I drive 45 min to pick up and install myself to not have to sleep on the floor another month passes and second delivery arrives when they do replacement correct side rail is split in 2 before even leaving the truck have a conversation with Ashley and 2 other employees about getting yet another replacement and some compensation for the lackluster service and multiple Saturdays of arranging schedule to fix issues that should have never happened. Today 1 month after that delivery arrives and correct rail is on the bed and I've yet to hear how Big Sandy will make this right I've been more than kind and patient but to be honest, Sadly I cannot recommend this organization based on pure lack of quality control and poor customer service and I have purchased a entire bedroom suite, couch,and love seat from the Chesepeake office, I would like to hopefully work with Ashley to fix my issues with this experience applicability as per multiple conversations with the staff but due to past experience I do not see that happing but would love to be proven wrong. read more

I love my new washer and dryer but I kinda feel swindled for a few reasons. First my washer and dryer came with free delivery, I did not know this until after I'd purchased the 5 year warranty to get said delivery. So I paid an extra several hundred dollars unnecessarily although having a warranty is good right? Well my washer has a sticker on it that talks about the 10 year manufacturer warranty.... And that delivery was a joke too because he comes up with all these excuses as to why he can't install it and at first I was sympathetic but when I got behind the appliances I found out a major excuse he used was bull, saying my hose was too short and I had to go to Lowe's and buy a longer one and hook it up myself, well the hose was plenty long enough and I'm so very glad I tested it before going and spending even more money. Also, I bought the special kit to fit my set that has a splitter and extra hose for my steam in my dryer, well come to find out my dryer came with a hose and splitter so I could have got 2 hoses extra for a ton cheaper than the kit. But at the end of the day I absolutely love my set, and it surpasses my expectations, and I have some extra hoses in case something goes wrong and I have a 5-year store warranty plus a 10 year manufacturer warranty. read more

I bought a side by side refrigerator from big Sandy's and 2 hanging chairs. We laid the waterline for the fridge on Monday, and they connected it. Very friendly and professional. I would give them 4 stars, because they did not put the rubber peace's on the chairs, but thinking about it, it's not a big deal. The delivery communication is the best. You actually will be able to leave the house and get something done if you have to, because as soon as the delivery truck leaves the warehouse with all the stuff they have to deliver for the day, you get a text message and can see exactly r where there at and when your estimated time will be. So you can rest assure that you will not miss them. I have a tiny house and they took the door out of my house to get the fridge in and they put it back in. They took all the trash from the delivery and thy where very nice and talkative . Love this store. When I was thinking of buying a new fridge, I was texting Travis and I was asking him if they have what I was thinking about and he send me pictures and prices. Went in to find a new washer and dryer for myself and my mom. Adam Rase was our salesman. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the products we were looking at. Not overly pushy. Quick to find answers if he didn't know instantly. Delivery dates were quick. We ordered on May 26th. Hers were in stock and delivered June 1. Mine were on order and delivered June 5. Someone called 2 days prior to confirm the delivery day was still good. The day before received a text giving me the delivery window. The morning of another text giving me the driver's name, what order I was in the delivery, and a link that I could at any time check to see how close they were and what stop they were currently on. Then received another text letting me know they were approximately 45 minutes away. The guys were there less than an hour (not sure exactly how long) for my mom's delivery. Less than 10 minutes for mine. 10/10 would recommend. read more

The service in store was fantastic. Quick and efficient. They were very helpful in getting me approved for credit to get the furniture that we were looking for. Our particular set that we chose was out of stock, we were told a time frame which was quoted perfectly and it was delivered in a timely manner. Scheduling delivery was a breeze and they were extremely willing to work with my awkward work schedule. The delivery team was on time, early given the time frame of delivery. We were given a 12:30-4:30 time slot. I had already assumed I would just sit in the house until 5 o'clock waiting on it to be delivered, but to my surprise they were in and out of my house with the furniture set up by 1:30. I was impressed. The furniture arrived intact, and as expected with no damage. The team was quick and efficient. I am so happy with our experience. We will definitely shop here again. read more

Upon entering Big Sandy we were approached by Dale. He was easy to talk to, courteous, and knowledgeable. We purchased a couch and a bedroom set. He and another gentleman loaded our couch and made sure everything was secure for our way home. Today our bedroom set was delivered and the gentlemen that delivered were prompt and very nice. They first asked where I wanted the furniture placed, then when the pieces came off the truck the had me look at each piece to be sure that it wasn't damage. They put the bed together and brought the rest of the furniture into the room. They were very careful about not damaging the furniture. I appreciate the time that Dale took with us to be sure we were happy with our purchase and I appreciated the care that the delivery men took with our furniture! read more

I shopped around for a dinette set to fit my small apartment. Everything is so expensive and either too tall or too short. I spied this in the Big Sandy Outlet window and thought it to be the perfect "counter height". It is perfect to sit against the wall and has an additional section on wheels to slide out if additional table space is needed. The price was fantastic too. It looks great and I have already gotten many compliments. Communication from Big Sandy from purchase until my delivery was great. I was able to track the truck from the link they provided and it arrived exactly at the time predicted. The delivery guys were polite and handled my items with care. Jacob, the salesman, was fantastic. The quality of furniture was medium. The delivery people were friendly but just about everything came damaged. I had to go pick up the bed myself so I could have one not damaged. I picked it up in a box and they brought something that was put together already and probably someone else's damaged bed. If it were not for the deliveries, I would rate a 5 star. I cannot say enough good about Jacob. He should be in management teaching the other sales people how to do what he does. I've been in business 36 years and if I were still in business, I'd hire him today. He goes above the call of duty and made sure we were taken care of. read more

Adam in Burlington could not have been a better person to deal with. Fast, fair, friendly. They had what I wanted, the quality is high, the price is fair. From previous purchases I can tell you the extended warranty is the best in the business ! I needed a new recliner and went to Big Sandy to get it. I am sooo pleased I did so. I was greeted by a wonderful salesperson, Dale Preston, that truly helped me to pick out the right one. I had it delivered and it arrived today, very early and just as promised. The delivery guys brought it in and set it up for me and were very gentle and not in a big hurry. They seemed to care and again made me feel great about my choice of stores I picked to do business with! The drivers worked us in for our Saturday delivery, so we didn't have to wait until Wednesday. They were both very personable and one of the guys moved a lift chair into a bedroom for me that I didn't know how to get through the door frame. This guys went above and beyond kindness. They deserve a raise, for sure. They explained about the strings on the pillows, how to store the center piece to the table and answered any questions we had. One of the table legs was split but they pit it on so we could have a table until they got a new leg. I would suggest Big Sandy and their sales agent, Alex and these delivery guys to anyone! read more

Our purchase was in stock at the warehouse, and we took delivery almost a week ahead of what was estimated. Our sales agent assisted us in locating all of our available unused warranty discounts in their computer from past purchases which dramatically lowered the price, and allowed us to purchase warranty on this item with delivery plus tax for less than the original list price! I can say that I was unsure of how things would go when we walked i to this amazing Ashland store. From the moment we came in Stephanie was very attentive asking all the right questions. We were looking for a new refrigerator and she helped us find the perfect one for us. She helped notably while we were in the store but has continued to keep in touch working with us on another sale we are looking to make. After getting it and using it for that price it is amazing! Big sandy has Done it again! We have spent probably $28k with them and so far every last thing has been quality and show room furniture. We have done almost all of our furniture and appliance shopping here. Bc they make it easy. The salesperson that gets us has an easy job bc we know what we are gonna buy just not which one. So we have never had a bad experience. The salespersons seem to look for ways to save us money. And we live on the the top of hill with a long gravel driveway. The delivery is smooth. They even had to wheel a refrigerator and freezer up the driveway. A good 50 yards. Any issues I have had were dealt with promptly. And no one was to blame for this issues.
