I went in today to get a natural full set and brought $160 in cash with me since it said online that that was how much the service costed with 'lash cash'. She did a good job, but at the end of the service she surprised me by charging me full price and a 25% surcharge for it "being a holiday" even though it's November 21st. So in total I paid $260 for a natural full set which is absolutely insane. She should be ashamed of herself for ripping me off like that, but I paid in full and left. By being greedy, she lost a costumer that could've accumulated her much more money over the long run had she not been so deceptive initially. read more

Keri Burt is indeed the best in Austin, I can say this after going to her over the past 3 years. Your level of service from booking to application will be stellar and your lashes will make you feel like a million bucks. For the first time ever, I had Keri tint my eyebrows and the effect was incredible. Please see my before/after photo I just added! Keri is always dressed to the nines and makes you feel like you're the most important client. What's most unique is her attention to detail in terms of using the best products and tools for your health, safety, comfort, and quality. If this is important to you, I'd go to BSL. You will most likely find a less expensive competitor but ask them about their adhesives, products, and years of experience. Lashes are expensive in general so you're going to drop a couple hundred for a mink full set. Lashes naturally shed 1-2 daily, so you're going to have missing lashes every day. But Keri will sure as hell bend over backwards to squeeze you in or make time for you in a crunch when you need a fill or want to look glam for a special event. If I was to grade this location solely on the quality of my lashes and how good they looked, I'd probably give it 5 stars. HOWEVER, with how quickly they fell out, I had to knock one star off. I was told by Keri that she makes her own glue, which is fine, but I've gotten lashes done at other locations prior, and they NEVER fell off as rapidly. Shedding is understandable; losing 10-15 per day? Not acceptable. The second star was taken off for the attitude I was given. The first time I went everything was fine, Keri was very professional and upbeat; my second experience with Keri was not so savvy. I understand everyone has a bad day, but if I'm paying you 200+ dollars and I'm going to be sitting there for a few hours, I expect you to at least be POLITE. Keri was very negative the whole time, very rude, condescending, and wrote off all my curious questions. I felt stupid for talking. After that, she ignored me practically the whole time, choosing to talk to her employees or send a text once or twice. Not going back. Not recommending. read more

Today, for many reasons, I went to someone else for a fill for my "mink" lashes. She said "Are these supposed to be mink?" Uh, yeah. . . "Not only are these synthetic, they're cheap plastic lashes," she said, and sent them home with me in a plastic bag as proof. I was being charged the higher price for mink lashes and BSL was using synthetics. Nice. This is especially egregious given what happened at my last appointment. A few days after a fill nearly all the extensions on my left eye were gone. I had an event in a few days so I made an appointment for a mini fill. At the time I made the appointment the right eye was still ok - but by the time my appointment rolled around those lashes were gone too At the end of my appointment I got a lecture about how I was making appointments for mini fills (this was the first time) and she was going to have to start charging me for a full set each time because "the lashes she uses are so expensive" she was making nothing on my fills. Given that she was charging mink prices and not using mink extensions, I think not. If the owner rebuts this, take it with a grain of salt. I saw on a response to a review on another site she claims she doesn't smoke - which is also not true as she has been standing outside smoking when I've pulled up for most appointments. I also find it very suspicious that she claims this is one of the first lash studios in Austin yet there is no listing for it on Yelp and only 3 Google reviews, all by "Anonymous" Google users. Avoid. I have no issue with anyone making a living but don't lie to do it. read more

Keri is the best for lashes in Austin. Save yourself the grief and just go here first. I am a tried and true lasher and I never realized what I was missing until I found Keri. She does amazing work, takes pride in her work and it shows. I always leave looking like a million bucks and people always have to question if my lashes are real, most people believe they are (although I will openly admit I have extensions of course).
