For years, I've always stopped at Big Shooters on my way back and forth from Steamboat to Denver. Today I left without buying anything because neither one of the 2 young women were wearing their masks- as they made coffee for another couple in the store also without masks. Why is Big Shooters not requiring employees to wear masks?? They're breathing all over the drinks and food being served in total disregard for other people's health. Really disturbing Right after I posted this on Google Reviews, I read the owner's response to another customer complaint. Apparently the owner doesn't require their employees to wear masks - they feel it's their constitutional right to wear or not wear a mask. This has nothing to do with constitutional rights and everything to do with concern for your customers' health. After years of patronage, I won't be returning. read more

Stopped here on a road trip back to Denver from Steamboat and it was really good! It was pretty busy on a Sunday later morning, so I spent about 20 minutes waiting in line and for food. I got an americano for my fiance and I got a special. I don't remember the name, but it was essentially an americano with cascading whip. I was very pleasantly surprised - the coffee was very good. We also each got a breakfast burrito with bacon. I waited quite a while for them, but once we got them, they were really, really good! They weren't runny like some breakfast burritos tend to be. VERY GOOD and they aren't skimpy on the bacon. Yum! A great stopping point between Denver and Steamboat. Kremmling is a cute little town and you can't miss this coffee shop! read more

Incredible coffee in an understated atmosphere, complete with a scary bear. We ordered two cappuccinos, one with more milk than foam and vice versa. Both coffees were delicious and we are still re-living them hours later. Thank you! read more

I used to like stopping by for coffee/food whenever we head up to Steamboat. Saw the sign that they are not going to implement any safety measures during the pandemic.. Turned around and won't be going back. If they pick and choose what health department codes to follow, I can't imagine what other hygiene measures they lack. read more

Love, love this place!! Been stopping here for years. Great local flavor. A group of women were sitting around a table knitting when I arrived the other day en route to Denver airport. I explained to the owner that the place brings back such fond memories of our annual family ski trips to Steamboat. Stopping here was an absolute requirement. I go by myself now. Kids are grown. Owner let me take home to my husband a big ceramic "Big Shooter" mocha canister that she made! Stopped off here while passing through on our way to Steamboat Lake State Park last weekend. The only thing of importance I need to say here is that the ice cream was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! This is a must-stop if you're in Kremmling! Excellent breakfast burrito & caramel frappe! Great place to stop for a late breakfast, coffee, & even ice cream. I particularly enjoyed the unique atmosphere. There are two rooms for guest sitting. One larger room where they have comfortable couches and tables. Outside there are neat wooden seats as well as a comfortable swing. The baristas and service were excellent, they were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely stop in if you get the chance! read more

I was in town during Ride the Rockies. They handled an unusually big crowd pretty well. The coffee was pretty good, definitely the best you'll find within miles and miles. They have several seating options and the decor is fun. They lured me in with a breakfast burrito advertised out front. I ordered it with pork green chili on top. The burrito itself was good and huge. The chili was a big mistake... it was the worst I've ever tasted and ruined the burrito. They offer you salsa and sour cream on the side... which turns out to be packets of salsa and sour cream, nothing fresh or worth eating. The burritos are premade and then microwaved when you order them. This works pretty well since the breakfast ingredients inside all reheat well in the microwave, but it's not at all what I was expecting from all the hype over the burritos on all the signage. If you go here, stick to the espresso and pastries and you'll have a nice experience. Cash only if you're under a certain amount ($3 or $5- can't remember which). read more

I stopped in this afternoon. Four employees behind the counter. One customer at counter but all just kept talking and laughing with each other. I waited patiently for a simple coffee and probably a cookie that looked really good. Not one employee acknowledged me, said hi or we'll be right with you. So I left and went to Kum and Go. What an adorable little coffee shop. I'm having an Electric Fence milkshake over espresso chip ice cream with fresh whip cream, swinging on the porch swing as I type this. And it is amazing!! My husband is having a Holy Cow coffee and enjoying it as well. We're only passing through, but if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by. We stopped here on our way to our Air B&B. This place is so cute! It's and ice cream and coffee shop (They had food too) but I mostly saw people there for the specialty drinks and ice cream. I highly recommend the vanilla chai latte with almond milk it was delish! read more

We loved this place! It's a little big for a coffee joint, but our drinks were so perfect. We tried coming back the same day but just missed closing time. We ordered a cappuccino with 5 shots of espresso, it's so great actually being able to taste the espresso and not feel like you're getting ripped (a certain mermaid star company). We also got the Nordic, I asked to make it as sugar free as possible. It was so great. They have SO MANY SUGAR FREE OPTIONS. We loved it. I've passed this place several times but I always seem to drive by at dusk! Finally I was headed home in daylight, and so I stopped in to get a chai latte and a sweet. The barista was friendly, and the oatmeal-coconut-chocolate chip cookie tasted fresh. The chai latte was a bit underwhelming -- it wasn't as spicy as a Bhakti -- but it was still something hot to drink. Grateful for the almond milk! read more

Stopped in here for breakfast before going white water rafting. They had good coffee and scones, however, there were very limited options for food items. Only blueberry scones, apple turnovers, and another pastry item. One server was a lil rude to our party after a coffee mix up. Espresso worth stopping for. Let me preface by saying I am the pain in the ass baristas are warned about in training; a full on coffee snob. I walked into big shot earlier this morning and asked if they could make a cortado. The barista politely confirmed I was not asking for a Starbucks definition of a cortado. In Kremling I did not expect to find a good espresso, the grind was a little off (again it was early morning and I assume they had not made enough coffee to get the grind dialed in) but this was one of the best coffees I've had in the state regardless! I live in Denver and would kill to find someone who could pull a shot like this! I had to stop in again on my way back that afternoon. My burrito was excellent as well. All in all big shot does a great job with their atmosphere, service, food and especially coffee, it's worth the stop for an excellent coffee or to sample a sugar loaded coffee drink menu that made even me consider the blasphemy of a "vanilla & dark chocolate latte". read more

I stayed in Kremmling for a night while on a bike tour and came across this little oasis of goodness. The owners are super nice and the rest of the staff is helpful as well. I got the breakfast burrito, and later in the day, a strawberry smoothie. Both were super tasty and at reasonable prices. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the breakfast burrito. If a place is only going to have one meal option (aside from baked goods) it better be good. I used to love this place. It was always a welcome reprieve from the long drive between Steamboat and Denver. Unfortunately, my family and I will no longer be visiting Big Shooter. By not taking appropriate health precautions (i.e., not wearing masks while interacting with customers and preparing food and drinks) ownership and the employees have demonstrated an utter disregard for the well being of their customers. I am disgusted by the owner's response to a recent review detailing the same negligence. Hiding behind the veil of constitutional law to justify the ignorance of human safety is moronic at best and malicious at worst. I invite the owner to, as she/he instructed a previous reviewer, "take a step back and look at the big picture". The "big picture" is as follows: you are putting people at risk in service of a half-baked political point. This isn't politics, this is health. A business unwilling to look after its consumers will soon find itself with very few to serve. read more
