It did not mesh well with the chicken. Red Snapper Calcasieu: it came out nice and hot. No flavor. Sweet Potatoes Mashed & Praline Crumble: perfect amount of sweetness and a good portion side Smoked Old Fashioned: smoky flavor, can't go wrong with this drink They provided complementary bread and the decor is simply elegant and sophisticated. First and foremost the new decor is breathtaking. It is inviting, intimate and you felt welcomed. I didn't want steak so I asked my waitress - Angelle for suggestions. She was lovely and answered every question with the patience of an angel. I landed on the Caesar salad (a true masterpiece) and the grilled shrimp. It was the perfect combination. Finally I ended with crème brûlée. And to my surprise, a dinner plate came out with a lovely light layer and perfection in every bite. I was told they make it that size for sharing. Our waitress Katelyn and Assistant Casper are two of the best servers ever!!!!! Highly advise going in for a cocktail and an appetizer! Do yourself a favor, don't order a steak! very disappointed tonite with the NEW Big Sky food. the remodel is beautiful, my server was fantastic but my food? first time I e had to just pay and leave without eating. my steak bites were salted as if three cooks seasoned the same meat (not edible), my crab cake was majority bread and had a sweet vinaigrette maybe for the cucumbers? However it wasn't stated as a salad dressing so I poured it on my bread cake (sparse crab/lots of filler). the Caesar salad was gorgeous (thank heaven) and my server again, was superb. Food was entirely too salty. Not "spicy"--salty! Almost inedible. Extremely disappointing. Would NOT recommend.

The restaurant is very nice and warmly welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the price we paid. Our steaks were overcooked, and the salad dressing tasted watery. We won't be visiting again--our bill was $170 for steaks we didn't eat. The waiter, however, was very, very nice. read more

This restaurant is a serene retreat away from the chaos of the betting floor. We ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and salad. Everything was very good. We ate here for the 2nd time and had the Filets which were wonderful and the wedge salads which were good. The new waiter Savanna didn't say more than 8 words throughout our meal. She looked like she was scared to talk to us and never smiled once throughout our hours long meal. We had to ask for tea to drink because she ask if we wanted cocktails and we told her we don't drink alcohol and she left the table and never ask about us wanting something else to drink. She has a lack of communication skills which are needed very badly to be a waiter at such a great Steak House. not impressed with the revamping. I have been going to big sky steakhouse for years. It has always surpassed Lake Charles or Lafayette steakhouses it recently got revamped and it does not compare. They took so many good things off the menu and turned the restaurant into what looks like just a regular casino steakhouse. The old restaurant had such a Coushatta feel to it. read more

We enjoyed our dinner here. We arrived for a 6:30 reservation and the waitress let us know they were doing a happy hour if we wanted to order some apps from the happy hour menu. So we did, the black and blue salad, good and fresh, the steak on it lacked appeal but the rest was delish. Had the crab cake sliders, and the baked oysters. The crab sliders were delish, second time I have had those baked oysters, probably won't order again. Myself and another of us ordered the chicken and dumpling soup which was the soup of the day, it was ok would not order again. Our friends had a petite filet and baked potato and a side of baked spinach they loved it all. A table of 4 had 2 cocktails, a trio wine tasting, and 2 glasses of red wine. I have two stars because the Hostess is the person who welcome people to the restaurant. Well there hostess is rude and unwelcoming. Myself and two other couples agreed that her hospitality was terrible and made us all feel unwelcome and wish we choose another casino steakhouse to visit. read more

Lobster bisque is lovely! Gamble a bit and reserve dinner at this steakhouse. Seafood pasta is also great. And of course the steaks.

The server wasn't very friendly. Seemed to always be in a hurry. Wife and I ordered prime rib and we were both disappointed. Very tough and not very flavorful. I guess it was just a poor cut. it was just ok. 2 out of the 5 dishes ordered were good. Started with the bang shrimp and they were really tasty, the ribeyes had no flavor but tender, the filet was very good and cooked perfectly. I topped my filet with lump crab meat which was good, but it would have been better had a butter garlic sauce been added to the lump crab meat. The seafood risotto was a HUGE miss. There was hardly any seafood and it was super salty. 2 people ordered this and both said the same exact thing. Neither of them could come close to finishing it. Our waitress was attentive but she was socratic and a bit sassy. That's not the kinda service I want when I'm in a fine dining steak house. Was not super impressed this time around, however, I do come here once a year and will continue to dine here. read more

absolutely blown away by everything we ordered. my husband chose a ribeye, and I got the prime rib. it was the best we've ever eaten before. cooked to perfection. you can't beat the best Mac and cheese ever, not just a regular Mac and cheese but LOBSTER! I had the 16 oz. ribeye, which must have been kobe beef! For $44, it was very tender, and was cooked to perfect medium as I requested. I had the crab cake appetizer, which had a good crispiness on the outside. My side with the steak was roasted garlic mashed potato. The bread basket had two yeast rolls and two corn muffins. Also had a salad with ranch. I missed my reservation as I had a flat tire coming into Kinder, and the staff was very gracious to seat me on a busy night. read more

It has the ambiance of a dimly lit coffee shop. Very odd interior for a nice steak place at a casino. There are limited restaurant options at the casino so if want to eat here make reservations especially on a weekend night if they have a big performer at the casino. The food is good and service is fine. This is the nicest restaurant at the casino. Don't be surprised to see people dressed up or extremely casual in shorts and jeans. read more

My husband and I had a Christmas celebration there and he had lobster. Had to cut it with a steak knife. I ordered a prime rib that was full of fat. Would not recommend this to anyone.
