Exceptional customer service from the start! Justin was very informative, educated us about the process and gave us an approximate quote based off our measurements right away. I came here because of the reviews and I am glad I did! I've had less than acceptable experiences working with various contractors and I wanted to work with someone who was timely, cost effective, great customer service and good quality. I expressed that to Justin and he was so understanding and assured me they are all those things. He was right! The next day Jorge came to my house to take measurements. He was very polite and knowledgeable about granite and overall experience. They say it takes two weeks from the date they receive the slab order you pick out. That is indeed true. I had a very specific granite vision of what I wanted. I went to a few suppliers and found the one I wanted. However, when it came in, the slab was cracked and MGE did not want me to be disappointed as they genuinely cared about the finished product and quality. We sent it back. Then, Kleopatra called me and offered to come with me to the suppliers to help me look at the granite and inspect it herself. I was so relieved and was blown away with how she went above and beyond to keep me informed of everything and to ensure I chose the granite we would be satisfied with long term. We ended up picking Avalon White from MSI. She inspected it and showed me which part of the slab they would use. I was reassured and so excited! Their prices are competitive and cost effective for their customers. The install team was outstanding. Our home is a historical home built in 1884, so the ground isn't as leveled. They stayed for 6 hours reconfiguring until it was perfect. They wanted to ensure it looked pristine and they do!! We love them and would highly recommend MGE to anyone. We stopped in their showroom on Michigan Ave a couple months ago. We were pleased with the choices, hospitality and salesmanship. We have a very active, busy schedule and the sales staff set a date to accommodate our schedule and last Friday afternoon, our beautiful new countertops were installed. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. We appreciated being able to support a small local business, whose inventory surpasses the big box stores. Their knowledge of their products and their friendly attitudes will have us recommending the service and products, personally returning for any future products that we could incorporate them into.

The entire process of working with Home Depot was an absolute nightmare from the beginning. Once we FINALLY got our cabinets installed, we had their countertop people come in and measure. At that time, they said it would be 2-3 weeks max. After the 2 weeks had passed, I called the company to see when they would be scheduling the installation and was told that they did not know when we would get our countertops as the stone was still sitting on a boat. No ETA, no "I'm Sorry's" just miserable customer service. This is at the end of Nov. The process started with Home Depot in Aug. They ruined my Thanksgiving holiday and were about to ruin my Christmas holiday. I called them to tell them I wanted a refund on my countertops and that I would find another company to install them. They told me no one would have it or get it installed in time, but I could do it if I wanted. Well, I was referred to Preferred Marble and Granite and from the date of my call to instillation it was less than 1 week...AND....it was cheaper. They did a superb job with measuring, cutting and installing my countertops. I cannot recommend them enough. For any project you need done, I cannot urge you enough to work with them. They are fantastic, starting with customer service and ordering all the way through the follow-up of the finished result. You cannot go wrong with them.

We were in…read morethe store four times over the course of our kitchen remodel and every time we were left to stand and wonder if someone was going to assist. The salespeople sit at their desks in the back of the room and if they are not expecting you, they don't move or engage you. We had an issue with our granite order and had to select another slab. Our salesman would not even work with us, but directed us to the warehouse and then left. The other salespeople would not help because we were not their customers. What's a customer to do? My advice? Go somewhere else if you want good service.

    On April 15, I came into this store and placed a special order for tile. I was told by Tommy, whose…read morereal name is Haitham, that my order would arrive within five business days. After that time passed, I received another call saying the order still had not arrived. At that point, I requested to cancel the order and pick up my check because I could not continue waiting. Shortly after, Tommy (Haitham) contacted me again and promised he could get the order within 10 more days, so I agreed to continue waiting. After 22 total days of delays, excuses, and lack of communication, I became extremely frustrated. What disappointed me most was not just the delay itself, but how the situation was handled. After expressing my frustration through text messages, Tommy (Haitham), instead of having management or the owner professionally address the issue, involved people from my community who had absolutely nothing to do with this transaction. I started receiving calls regarding a private customer dispute. No business should allow an employee to involve outside individuals in a customer issue. That was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. I later spoke with the owner, Simon, and explained the entire situation. At the beginning of the call, I even asked him what the company's mission was, and he stated that it was to make customers happy and satisfied. Unfortunately, I can honestly say I left this experience feeling neither happy nor satisfied. The delays already caused enough stress and financial loss due to rent and project setbacks, but the employee behavior and management's acceptance of it made the experience even worse. For the record, I never used disrespectful language toward Tommy (Haitham). I simply asked Tommy (Haitham) to stop contacting and harassing me, and I expressed how frustrating and exhausting this situation had become after weeks of delays and broken promises. I do not recommend this business based on my experience. Very disappointing overall.
