Andrew came on his own and worked for over four hours, thoroughly cleaning all of our windows, including numerous French door glass panels on both the first and second floors. Cristopher and Amber came over to our house in Mount Washington a few days ago to wash our windows and we have a lot of them. They work as a tag team: Cristopher cleans the outside while Amber cleans the inside + the screens. As a team, they completed the job quickly and efficiently, in just about 3 hours. They were professional, trustworthy, well-mannered and charming. When they were done, I did a walk thru and except for a couple of smears, all the windows were squeaky clean. Absolutely garbage. Our community schduled them to clean the gutters before. Jack showed up doing estimate, saying everything will be well taken care of so we trusted him. By the day of cleaning, a greasy young guy showed up, looks like just out of overhang or high. I cannot stay with him but later I found out he only cleaned 10% of houses, and didn't even bother to climb up to 2nd floor. He and another guy got onto the high roof, smoking and talking, and 'visually' cleaned the gutter. After 4 hours he told me if there's a problem, give them a call. I should've kicked his ass but I was too nice. After that we had another cleaner who spent several days, polishing the gutter shiny, I am not kidding, for the same price. Big Wave is crap by comparison. Also they texted me all the time asking for great review or new work like a stalker. I repeatedlly told them not to contact me again and they still do. I finally had enough and now write this reivew to alert all of you our awful experience! read more

Window washing, solar panel cleaning, screen washing Never again. I previously used Big Wave Window to clean the windows, screens, and solar panels on my home, built in 1939. The technician carefully numbered all the screens and windows so the screens would be correctly replaced. Everything was done expeditiously and throughly. This year...totally different story. First they told me they were running late, then they canceled their appointment due to issues with their morning job. A team of three showed up on time to the rescheduled appointment. Unfortunately I do not remember their names. They did not number the screens and did not do a good job replacing them. I discovered that some were missing the little latches, some of the latches were broken, a bracket holding one screen at the top was missing and the screen was not in place, other screens were clearly in the wrong window, a bathroom screen was bent and clearly not replaced properly (see pictures). I did not discover this until the evening when I opened the windows to enjoy the night air. I had already paid for the job. I texted them immediately with photos to show the issues. They were here 6/23. It is now 7/11. Since notifying them I have had 2 extremely unpleasant conversations with Cris, the team leader, who accused me of being rude and uncooperative because I could not be home for the "only time he had available". I have spoken to their office requesting to speak to the owner and was told he would call, which he hasn't. I have purchased more latches and moved the screens that I could manage. I can not replace the missing bracket myself as I do not have a tall enough ladder, so now if I open the window I am inviting bugs in. No show for my appointment. Terrible experience with the business. I booked my second time appointment 3 months ago for 12/5 morning. On the service day, no one show until noon, so I reach out they asked me to reschedule to 12/6 afternoon. So I did. On 12/6, I called 1 hour after the appointment window cause the tech was still no show. The lady who answered the phone call told me the tech is on his way. Until 3:20, I called and follow up again. The lady told me the tech is on his way, and will be on site in 1-2 hours. I responded" 2 hours?" And she corrected to 1 hour again. I waited until 4 pm and no one show up still, I called again, and the phone line was occupied until 5 pm which turn my phone to vm directly since it's after their office hour. At the end of day. I have not receive any phone call from tech nor the customer service at all. I wrote and email and left vm to them at 6pm cause it was unacceptable any business just no show for no reason. The next day, no one reached out to me, so I called in at noon. The lady just told me" the tech was on site but no one answer the phone call. So we wont be able to provide you any service we can just refund you." I said" which number he called? And when? " And she said " I don't know." It is impossible for me to be okay when they act like we failed your appointment, but just take back the money and go attitude. My service was fully charged 2 months before the service was ever provided. Which was already unprofessional, but with all the conversation I had with the customer service and all the time I have wasted for this no show was even worse. I told her, I'm frustrated because nothing she told me makes sense at all, and their company doesn't act like they are trying to solve the mistake they made. I was so upset and said why you take the business you didn't have intention to fulfill to promise? She said if I still want to use their service, I will need to wait until 23rd, but when I asked her what if you guys still no show on 23rd, is that means I need to repeat this again? And she said if I don't trust them, I don't have to use them for my window cleaning. I got so tired of this nonsense, so I asked for refund and told her I will hire someone else. Still waiting for my refund and want to see how long it will take for me to receive my money back. I regretfully said, I will not work with them after this experience. The owner is very nice and that's why I used their service, but this time was totally waste of time and energy. And I feel really bad for the owner that his business was not looking good after this. i have used big wave window in the past and have been satisfied with the work that was done. however, when i used big wave window several weeks ago there was damage caused which they refused to take responsiblity for. in my situation, the employee bent a security screen and left without reporting the damage. when he first arrived, i reviewed the job with him, and we looked at every window and screen inclued in the job, so i know the screen was not bent when he started the job. he left without reporting damage to the screen. due to the damage, i was unable to fully turn on the home security system due to the damaged screen, which could not be repaired but had to be replaced. when i first communicated the problem to the owner, jack thompson, he asked to be kept informed on the cost of replacement. as soon as he heard what the cost would be he cut off all of my further attempts at communication by phone, text or email. since it appeared he was going to stiff me for the cost of the replacement i stopped payment for the service on my credit card, but that did not cover the full cost of the replacement which means, since big wave window would not take responsibilty for the cost to replace the screen, i had to pay the difference. this was an unfortunate situation and accidents do happen, but if the policy of big wave window is to not take responsibily for damage to a customer's property, it is only right that potential customers are informed of big wave window's apparent policy regarding property damage. read more

The house was still dirty after the power washing was finished. I was shocked at the price and poor results. We could simply put our index finger near the front and back doors, and black soot came off! so, for $1,100 dollars we got a nice clean, flagstone pathway and porch plus clean windows. Big Wave windows came to clean my windows and did a terrible job! The guy who came to complete the job said that he had a "few months" experience. He said he "didn't bring all his tools" and proceeded to clean 5 windows (I have a small space). He couldn't get the screens off one window so that window wasn't done and the job was incomplete. In addition ALL the screens were haphazardly wiped with a cloth (not washed with water or a cleaning solution). There is dust and dirt in a swirl on all the window screens. This contributes further to an incomplete job. He left spots and streaks on the windows themselves. AND he damaged one of my screens that he couldn't get back into position, so he forced it and ripped the screen. Big Wave wants me to pay full price for this job. Seems like bad business policies. read more

I did not use this company's services. My complaint is, the neighbor used their services to clean out their rain gutters. The person cleaning out the rain gutters threw all the dirt and leaves towards my back yard instead of bagging it up. I informed the neighbor who had their services done and they called the landlord. Great experience with the team. After reaching out for a quote, I had someone stop by to review the property and provide an estimate. We have a tall home with a fair number of windows and a lot of spider webs. On the day of service, we worked with Cole, who was communicative about his arrival time and how he was going to go about cleaning the building. I was able to re-advise what we needed accomplished, so it was helpful that I worked from home and could check in. He spent a couple hours on the house and it looks so much better than prior to the service, even on the third level, which is tough to reach. I rarely write bad reviews but this business deserves it. I had a cleaning scheduled for a certain morning. They took a 10% deposit using my credit card. On the morning of the appointment they texted me that they can't make it. We rescheduled. Same thing happened and then happened yet again for good measure. We agreed to just refund my deposit. They said it would take 3-5 business days. Today is the sixth business day. No refund. I called my credit card company and they said there was no refund pending. So I disputed the charge. It was easy to schedule by a telephone call service from Big Wave Window for Jan. 3rd. The service was for power washing of the exterior house and windows. Jack confirmed through email the quoted price, time of arrival and what preparation I had to do before the power washing. Jack was timely, worked solo and finished our two story home in 4 hours. I appreciated that among the multiple window cleaning vendors I requested quotes from, Big Wave was the only that scheduled an appointment to view the property in person and get a more detailed idea of what I was looking for. Lyric was amazing - prompt, friendly and left our windows seriously sparkling. The cleaning made an even bigger difference than I imagined - everything is so clear and vibrant inside now and so beautiful. I would request Lyric again for any future needs. Although there were some scheduling mishaps with their team, I could tell they sincerely wanted to make up for the confusion and ended up cleaning the windows another weekend. I moved to a new two-story rather large home and had Big Wave come out a couple times. Today's service though was exceptional. A gentleman named Breaux came out with a 2nd person (sorry lost his name) and it was perfectly done. Most important is the attention to detail. I have a lot of expensive stuff in my house and I get nervous when I see people run around. They are super careful. Great team. I'll also mention I had another company do my windows and they used soapy water and no DI or SOMETHING. Whatever the problem, it left fogging and I knw that can happen if windows are dual-glaze and over 10 years old. Not with these folks. read more

Found Big Wave through Next Door. Typically, I use my gardener to clean the gutters but it's not a thorough job (which doesn't bother me). Since it's been 5 years since the gutters were installed, it was long overdue to have them cleaned right! So when I saw positive reviews from other locals I thought I'd give Big Wave a try. Consult was quick and easy. Price was what I expected. And scheduled based on what worked with my schedule. Took 2 hours -- also got my dryer vent cleaned out (which is extra $$ so make sure you understand the additional cost). Overall... very happy customer and will use them going forward. read more
