This is a getaway if you really want one. There is nothing but nature surrounding you. They have several lakes and you can fish there too. There is a big cabin in the back of the property and lots of trails. Nice shade trees and flowing fields of green. The place has a bath house the is kept neat and tidy. Everything everywhere was neat and clean. Sunshine at the front reception had a very bubbly and helpful personality. There are several different things to do while you are here. I liked exploring the woods that led to a small waterfall . It smelled so fresh and new because of all the greenery. I felt so far from civilization but wasn't. It was only about $40 a day with water and power hook up. You can get a sewer hookup for $10 more but the dump station is free down the path not too far from the campsites. I am looking forward to returning here. I love the peacefulness and tranquility of the place. I just wish I could of jumped in the lake for a swim but I don't think that is allowed. The stream in the woods was very cool and refreshing though. I love this place! read more

Full disclosure, I've never camped before this last weekend so I have no basis for comparison. Having said that, the setting for this campground is gorgeous. The grounds are immaculate, as is the bathroom facility (Pro-tip:take a roll of toilet paper with you, it goes fast.) There are lovely hikes around the property and the lookout over the mountain is spectacular, so is the little waterfall (I come from a land with 10,000+ lakes and uh...that's a creek, but it's lovely.) If you're attending a concert at the Caverns, they have shuttles to take you there and back-super convenient. I'm not a zipline fan, but the people that were using that seemed to enjoy it. The bar is set high if I ever decide camping is my thing! read more

We went on a zipline tour. It was a lot of fun. The guides were very entertaining and were interactive with the guests. Definitely will recommend as a place to do a quick adventure stop. We had not Ziplined before, but they helped us get comfortable quickly. We all even did the flips and hanging upside down. Booking online was easy. Definitely worth the price as well. read more

I'm not sure if it was that we were there in the off season, but the fact that there was 1 bathroom, 2 toilets for the entire campground is ridiculous. The campground was essentially empty and they placed us a 25 minute walk away from the bathrooms. This is not ideal especially in the middle of the night. It was extremely frustrating as the bathrooms were next to the RVs (which tends to have bathrooms in their vehicles) and nothing available for Tent Camping or anything else read more

Great experience, checking in ( Sunshine was fabulous and very helpful) and setting up at our site, 50 amp electric and water pull thru was easy. Great value for the money. Extremely clean. Beautiful grounds to enjoy a nice walk. Saw a family of geese with four babies at the catch and release pond. We only stayed the one night as we were traveling thru, we will be back and recommend this RV park. They have Zip Lining! Have to do that on our next trip. read more

Being a local here on the mountain, there's not a lot to actually do. When I heard this was being built, I couldn't wait to try it out. I have been to a couple of other zip lines and this one was great and even better than those. I really enjoyed the variations in the course and the guides made the trip entertaining, as well. I would recommend anyone looking for something fun to do outdoors to check it out. The kids will love it! Call ahead to ensure you can get in on the time frame you prefer. read more

I camped here last month and had an AMAZING experience. The staff members were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I camped in a tent and they provided all of the firewood. Their bathrooms are very clean and come stocked with toiletries, space heater, and a hair dryer! They also provided us with a $10 taxi ride to The Caverns for a concert, and they were waiting on us outside when the concert ended! I didn't get a chance to try out their zip lines, but I WILL be returning and will try them out then! They have a super cool treehouse that you can book on Airbnb which is where we will be staying next time we go. The whole place is beautiful and kept in great condition. We loved it so much here we hated to leave. Of course we were here for business and not pleasure, but it made our stay so much peaceful even if it was for work. We stayed almost two months. There's a huge lookout in the back of the property we went to in the evenings throughout the week. On weekends the place filled up pretty good but week days there were maybe 5 campers max. Even if it stayed filled we had plenty of room in between campers unlike other rv places. There is a small hidden waterfall too on the property I didn't get any pics of. I don't think a lot of ppl know it's there but it's a steep little walk. It's kind of like a small stream but it's nice. We walked our dogs to it and they loved it. We didn't get enough time to zip line so I can't speak on it. They had a shower house. Only thing is I couldn't find a place to drop our trash off but I never did ask either, bc we just took ours to our job site. The rv's are in the middle of a field but they had just planted trees during our stay so maybe in a few years there will be more shade. read more

We camped with the Airstream group thi weekend. The grounds are beautiful. The waterfall and views from the point were gorgeous. Peggy was always friendly and making our stay spectacular. She stayed at the clubhouse so we could play games at night, fixed us popcorn and took great care of us. We did the zip line and CH And CJ made it so much fun. Great place for family fun. read more

This park is situated on tons of property, both opened grassy areas and wooded. The problem is they stuck the few RV spots, right out in the open sun. Why they wouldn't put the sites in the beautiful wooded, shaded areas is beyond me. There are full hookups but no other amenities, such as no wi fi, no tv ( no stations on our antenna). There is zip lining that requires reservations so a staff person can guide you. There is a charge for that. Locals come in, as well, to zip line. There are 3 ponds, but there has been a drought, so they are very shallow and scummy on the bottom. Lots of reeds and water plants to get your hook hung onto. Caught one very tiny bluegill. There are frogs and in the ponds, fish either aren't biting or that aren't many. There is no pool here. There is tent camping and open campfires. If you're into frisbee golf, this place is for you. There's a shower house with a soda machine in front. We pulled our 40' RV in this place. The road getting here was pretty narrow, but once we arrived on the property, we had no trouble. This place is a work in progress, being around a year old. We were told the owners father farmed the land, prior to his death, at which time it was passed down to his son, who is developing it into a campground/ concert venue. Lots of traffic through here, that aren't related to the RV portion of the park. Hopefully, if we return, we'll be able to give it a higher rating, but at this point, the park doesn't deserve the rating of a finished park, mostly due to their high rates, given what you don't get. read more

Zip lining is the way to go. I went the last day I was at the rv park. I loved the stay. In fact, I WILL be back. The instructors for zip lining were funny, nice and just a blast. The season is slowing down so I was the only zip liner and enjoyed every minute of it. The only trick I could do was upside down, however, they were teaching me many tricks.....I loved it. Just great guys!!! All in all it was a great experience. read more

If it wasn't for the terrible return experience with the shuttle service from the Caverns would give a 5 star rating for the park and property. Advertised as convenient, point to point and hassle free transportation - not so much. The caverns is 15 min or less to the campground. Trip back after the show took 1.5 hours and after taking 4 people to Sewanee and then 2 to what appeared to be a private home. The lions share of riders were going to the campground. At 1:30 am - not so happy customers from what was otherwise a fabulous evening. Bigfoot - get your priorities straight... drop off those who are closest to the venue and then all else and/or clearly communicate in advance what the user experience is and offer refundable cancellations for those who want the point to point transport. read more

My husband and I flew in for the weekend from Florida to see a two night show at The Caverns. We arranged through RV Share for an RV to be delivered and set up for us at Bigfoot adventure campground, and we reserved Bigfoot's shuttle service to and from the concerts. The whole Bigfoot crew were super friendly and did everything they could to make our weekend getaway a success! Our shuttle driver Danny picked us up from our RV site both nights, and was an absolute blast. We got to hang out with Sheila a little before the show the second night, and she was awesome as well. Looking forward to our next adventure to The Caverns and will definitely stay at Big Foot Adventure again!!! read more

Camp Caverns had the pleasure to work with Bigfoot Adventure for 2 weeks this past summer. They provided shuttle service for our campers for 2 weeks - the drivers were friendly, worked with our crazy schedule and provided a fun experience for our campers! We took our campers for 2 ziplining outings and ended up spending the entire day there taking advantage of their lake for fishing, clubhouse for our arts and crafts & lunch, waterfall hike and of course ziplining! The staff at Bigfoot was beyond accommodating, professional, patient and FUN! Thank you more than we can say! We highly recommend them for groups of all sizes and are looking forward to more Bigfoot fun with our campers next summer!! read more

Attended a bday adventure for an 8 yr old great-nephew. Great experience for all ages, ranging from 8-70! Super helpful & friendly staff. Clean, new facility. Nine fun zip lines. Bouncey house,water slide, and bday cake were part of the package. Plan to return again in the fall to take inthe beautiful foliage and scenic ponds, trails, etc! read more
