Lisa was my reflexology therapist, and she was wonderful. She was kind, passionate, and genuinely cared about my comfort. I went back a few years ago; they obviously changed owners and the only way I could describe our experience was bizarre. I stayed away up until today. After I was gifted a gift card from here I brought my mom for reinforcements and we got the 60 min foot massage. Heads up, the price on the website is different than the price sheet they post up front by the counter. The aesthetics have improved from the red walls they had. The rooms are visually private and the equipment is good. The massage was enjoyable and I would go back. My only complaint is there was a bit more chatter in the beginning of our massage by the staff and the price discrepancy. Going off of my experience today I would return. read more

This used to be our favorite spot to go for a good hard massage I don't know what has changed but it's very different. During our couples massage the two female massage therapist had talked loudly for 20 minutes I had kept my mouth closed as long as I could and I finally raised up and told them it was impossible to relax with people talking. The remainder of the massage was basically a rub down not a deep tissue massage. I repeatedly heard the tech yawn and burp. I left my underwear on only to have the sheet stuffed in the top and repeatedly pushed lower and lower, draping was basically nonexistent. When the massage was finished the tech massaging my husband whispered something I could not hear. When we were in the car he told me what was said, "I am sorry I made your wife mad." If she wanted to apologize for her staff she could have done so to me. One of the WORST massages I've ever had. I paid for the 1/2 hour back and leg massage. The therapist was WAY to hard. I kept telling her to go lighter. She also concentrated on my SI joints in my low back and dug her elbows into my bones. I'm now in TERRIBLE pain and can barely walk. I will never go back. I can barely move and had to have my mom carry my daughter up the stairs to bed cause I'm in so much pain. read more

After extensive searching I found this place that's fairly close to home. Compared to larger cities, Portland surely over-charges for massage, the rates here are reasonable by local standards. In summary I got a pretty solid 60 minute combo massage for $55 plus tip. The things I didn't like about it was I specifically requested a female massage therapist and I got a guy. Don't say you can if you can't, pretty simple. It's not a sexist kinky thing, I just prefer a woman's touch. Not sure if they even have female massage therapists?! Like many places, the therapist also leaves during the middle of a massage since there's often no receptionist to help with phone calls or walk-ins. They also do not tell you what's happening, so the hot stones can be a bit of a surprise if you're not expecting them. PROS: - Clean establishment. - Plenty of parking and easy to find. - They have 4 private rooms, one which is for couples massage. You need to request this if you don't want to be on the open floor. - Clean unisex bathroom in the back. - There are tables and a massage chair in the front along both sides of the main room divided with curtains. - Friendly staff. - Filtered water machine and couches in waiting area. - Nice dark mood lighting in private room. - Fairly quiet. - Most affordable for Portland metro area it would seem. - Decent pricing for reflexology. - Take credit cards with $1 dolla fee. CONS: - May or may not have female massage therapists. - Not a lot of staff, so your therapist may take breaks to answer the door or phone. - You have to give the thumbs up for oil, otherwise they just use a blanket. - They sometimes put a towel over your eyes, which is weird. - More expensive than Los Angeles. - Not the best communication during the massage. Like most places of the same caliber the rooms almost always have open ceilings, not sure if it's a safety concern of something having to do with building codes and cost, so yes you hear some noise and conversations. This use to be a great spot for affordable massage and quality masseuses. I use to tip well due to the great price and exceptional service. I went often and came to know some of the staff. Those days are long gone. I've been highly disappointed the last two times I went. Several months ago I met Alice. Alice was scrolling social media one her phone when I finally looked up to see why she was just squeezing my one foot with her one hand periodically! Alice returned to her social media and hardly touched me after gently letting her know that wasn't ok. I paid for the service, but there was no tip! I vowed I'd never go back.... But, I recently decided to give the place another chance.... ‍. The masseuse assigned to me was just as bad.... She was rude and acted like she didn't want me there. she kept trying to sell me a more expensive package. This lady never did settle in for the service I requested. I finally told the lady I didn't want the 90 mins I agreed to and I'll be done at the 60 min mark. I just couldn't take it anymore. She had no technique or care to.... I did a walk in appointment today because I have been under a lot of stress and was hoping to get a deep tissue shoulder massage to get rid of or at least release some of my knots in my back. I paid $80 for a "deep tissue hour massage" what I got was an hour of her rubbing oil on my skin and stretching my back. I don't feel any better then when I walked in. In fact my back hurts more because the knots were not relieved. I will NOT be recommending this business to anyone nor will I EVER be back. Way overcharged. We did a 60 min foot massage and while we were laying there waiting the music was super loud, same song on repeat, which I knew I couldn't relax to for an hour so we told them the song was on repeat, they turned off the music. Then we learned why they had the tunes up so loud, for the next 30 minutes we heard loud, moaning, sexual moans coming from the room next to us. We could not wait to leave. Great foot massage place straight from CA! This place is legit and the people are friendly. I took the wifey and did a $30/he foot massage each. It's legit, got the scalp, shoulders and hands done while the feet soaked. Then the calves and feet, and flipped for a back rub the last ten or so minutes. You can't find this for $30. FYI, take care of them on the tips. Don't go by percentage. $10 is just an average tip, especially for the bargain you're getting on the massage. read more

Regrettably this was the worst massage of my entire life. There is a huge difference between massaging and RUBBING! Sadly this was not a massage, it was an hour of being pushed on through a towel/blanket or rubbed listlessly until my skin felt raw. It's really really depressing when you spend the entirety of a massage aggravated because you know that you (a non professional average person, could massage people 10 times better) and you are paying money to someone who doesn't seem to understand the concept. I almost wanted to stop him in the middle and demonstrate proper technique to the person touching me (I can't even call it massaging) I don't know if he was just tired and lazy, or if this was his standard technique, but it was outrageously disappointing and not even close to what I paid for. I couldn't even enjoy my time, I just kept telling myself to relax, and maybe it would get better, and then I would feel sensations that can only be described as relentless rubbing with no therapeutic benefit whatsoever, that caused annoyance more than relaxation. I just really hope that this review helps someone else out, and avoid wasting money only to be let down, and leave disappointed and out 40 bucks. If you want to enjoy 7-10 minutes of your "massage" and the other 53-50 wishing you just spent a little extra to go somewhere with legitimate training and therapeutic value... I guess this could be a place for you. But if you genuinely want to treat yourself, and enjoy the benefits of a real massage go ANYWHERE else. PS: they even pressured us to tip more (I didn't tip well because frankly I felt that I should have left halfway through and reluctantly paid for the massage anyway, and tipped on the lower side) but for them to pressure people to tip but not pressure their employees to learn properly and leave customers satisfied was astounding to me. read more

It saddens me to write a negative review. I have been getting reflexology foot massage for decades. I just moved into the neighborhood and was excited to try this place despite the negative reviews. (I generally try to take them with a grain of salt) Upon arrival they tried to talk me into a more expensive service as other reviewers indicated. I confirmed which I wanted and pointed to it on the menu. The service itself was great as they always are. But then alas, when it was time to pay, she charged me for the more expensive service. When I pointed it out, she 'fixed it'. I always appreciate the amount of effort put into giving a massage and tipped 40%. I then noticed two separate pending charges on my bank account (one for the correct amount and one for the more expensive one) and waited for the erroneous charge to drop off. It did not. I called them and left a few messages. No response to make it right as I understand mistakes happen even though this is exactly what others had indicated in their reviews. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. They were given 30 days to respond and never did. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment which makes me very sad. I quite like this place. I'm a big fan of foot massages and my daughter is an even bigger fan. That's how we bond. At first, they questioned me letting my 9 year old daughter getting massaged because she may not like it. Little did they know....she loves it and falls asleep all relaxed every single time. It's not the best I've had, but it's definitely reasonable and enough for where we are located and what's to offer around here. It's very much an Asian place. The person massaging you is only there to massage and most likely don't understand English. The massage was good since I walked out of their floating. They are very different than a normal massage. They soak your feet, give it a good rub while you're lying down under blankets and then flip you over on your stomach to give your back a good beating. Now...I've heard this before and it has happened to me many times...I have a tight rear end. They really dug into my glutes and it was an odd feeling and honestly, I could do without it. So don't feel too uncomfortable if this happens to you too. I guess it's normal? Either way, I've been here repeatedly and I think I will continue to come back. My BF and I are visiting from CA and this was the only place we could find that had an available appointment with short notice. Took us in 15 min. Massage: 4 stars. Felt great and she got the knots out of my back. I'd give it 5 but she hurt me a couple times when she was massaging the back of knees. Environment: 3 stars. Bed was warm but the hole where you put your face was hard on your chin. You could hear people outside which is pretty normal. We did have our own private room. Place is clean. Service/Etiquette: 1 star. this is where it gets bad. The lady who massages my bf, answered her phone atleast 5x during his massage. That was annoying AF. She did apologize after the massage where I proceeded to tell her that was inappropriate and unprofessional. I have it 1 star because they were able to accommodate the short notice. I asked for an appointment in the evening and about 2 minutes later I receive a response accommodating my request. Score!! That's already a plus in my book for a quick turnaround on response time. My husband and I arrive and we're greeted quickly and are led to our private room. We decided to do the 60 minute combo massage which is 30 minutes of body massage and 30 minutes foot massage for $55. The body massage is probably one of the best upper body massages I've received in my life! The perfect amount of firm pressure along with really getting into the problem areas I have around my shoulders and arms... I was in heaven! I felt like I was melting into the table cause it was that good! We then move into the foot massage which was accompanied with leg and calf rubs, along with foot reflexology and hot stones at the end. Everything was so good and relaxing! Luckily my husband and I were in a private room so we didn't get bothered with the foot traffic or sounds coming from guests entering/leaving. They seemed to have changed owners and staff within the past few months. The previous owners were an older couple. They were much more thorough and applied much deeper pressure. The new people are not consistent. My therapist would start on one side and then missed a bunch of spots on the other side. They started my massage 10 min late and finished 5 min early. The price went up from what the previous owners charged. I went 2x under the new owners and I left disappointed. Pros: one of the cheapest places around, opens late, and walk-ins always welcome. It's worth the money if you don't expect much. 3 stars only because... -Not much relax when you have to listen to Chinese conversation, people walk around, bell at the door, even flushing toilet. -Foot massage has good pressure but should be longer. We called in the afternoon to make an appt for their 60 minute, $40 foot massage. We were quoted $40 the first time. When we called in 1/2 hr to confirm the appt, the rate jumped to $50. And the lady there asked us to sign up for the $60, 90 minute massage instead. We gave them the benefit of doubt and changed to the $60 one as we thought it was still reasonable. We were told to be on time at 6:30 pm sharp or they will take it out of our massage time. We were there on time. The lady at the spa who spoke no English did not understand that we had an appt. she called another woman on her cell phone and the woman on the phone demanded $70 for the 90 minute massage. At this point , we were annoyed and asked them to honor their $60 deal. We were told in that case we have to wait for 20 minutes. The spa looked deserted and there were no other customers. When we asked them to maintain the time, the lady at the spa screamed at us and spoke rapidly in some Asian language. The woman at the other end on the cell phone was translating to us what the Asian woman was saying. They insisted that it was originally $90 for 90 minute massage and so if we don't want to wait, we need to pay $70 or wait for 20 minutes and pay $60. They had 5 different menu cards with different prices for the same services. Every time we selected a service, that menu card was replaced with another one with a higher price. It looked like they were trying to scam us! At this point we were all pretty pissed and walked out of the spa. This place is a joke and the woman at the counter needs some serious help. Amazing! I am dealing with some health issues that involve edema and it makes me walk like a penguin. After a 1 hour reflexology here the swelling is starting to go down, I can walk much easier and not waddle! It was so good, I am cancelling my appointments today and getting another one to jump start the process! Price is amazing. I just moved back from LA and they are even better then everywhere I went there! They will see me at least twice a week to help with the swelling and stiffness. My husband and I made appointments via yelp, and they responded so quickly, definitely recommended. The day of, I got a call asking if we could accommodate a half hour shift. They called with enough time so it was no inconvenience. We did the deluxe hour massage for $35 which was wonderful. Top of the head to the toes, everything is handled. It is in an open space, but there are curtains so you never feel exposed. Two days after, the pain I was experiencing in the arch of my foot is completely gone and hasn't returned!
