This moving company was recommended by a friend. The two young men were polite. They were late beginning the move. The move was from a 600! sq Apt to an 800 sq ft Apt. The distance is about 24 minutes. There were no appliances involved. Furniture included a sectional sofa and chair, one side chair, 48" round table with 4 chairs, queen size bed, 2 nightstands and a triple dresser; approximately 15 boxes. The day began at 9:00 am and at 10:30 pm my queen bed was being assembled. I recognize elevators are slow, but it was no reason for the amount of time used for the move. 5 Mick, the owner came out personally to give my family a moving estimate. He was punctual, professional & a super nice person! Zack & Carlos showed up on time as scheduled with a 30 minute in advance call/text. Let me say the young men ROCKED IT 100% friendly, thoughtful of any "possible breakables" that we had packed for the move, ZERO damages to any of our property, no scratches on our Harwood's or Sheetrock damage at either the move from home as well as the new move to home. These guys charge by the hour for the move & they did no "Clock Riding!" I actually suggested they take a 5-10 minute break! They were fast & efficient like a smooth oiled wheel... prices were very fair/competitive for our 2 hour short-haul move. These guys were respectful & we couldn't have chosen a better moving company! The guys came on time ready to get our belongings moved. They arrived on time, were personable, and courteous to my family. They did a wonderful job moving furniture and other items from both a house and two storage units on the third floor. They guys worked diligently to get our belongings onto the trucks, drove to our new home in Pensacola and immediately began to unload the two trucks, placing furniture and numerous boxes where we needed them to be. When we needed an item moved, they guys didn't complain, they moved the item without a problem. They were very cooperative and a pleasure to work with. The crew showed up on time (actually a little early) and did an absolutely wonderful job. The guys were all very attentive and really made me feel good about their ability to complete the work. My piano was built pre-Civil War and has been in our family for close to 135 years and I certainly wanted it to be properly packed, protected, and moved. . The job was done to perfection and finished in the time allotted in the estimate. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any piano or other moves. So today is the day of the move...they show up on time knocked on the door my daughter was going to hand out masks because my children aren't old enough to be vaccinated and I have a lung problem.They said what is that laughed and said we don't wear them .I explained why I needed them to and I also called the office ...wow...the man who answered the phone was the boss I explained my situation and he's response, that it was about freedom and immediately made it a political thing..I will be contacting Angie's list also sad that a simple move that would of cost me 1600 had to go this way...I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have used Bigfoot moving twice. The first time was after hurricane Michael hit Panama City. I had to move my stuff out of my destroyed apartment complex and had no issues. In fact I tip both the movers $100 each. The second time I used them was a different story though. I had moved to Colorado so I had them come over and pack up my house And move my stuff to Mobile Alabama storage at U-Haul. Somebody decided it was a good idea To take all the stuff out of my freezer put it in a box and stick it in storage. I did not get back to my storage unit for a quite a few months and when I walked into the building all you could smell was the stench of decay. Not just my unit but the whole building. When I started getting my stuff into a truck I realized what had happened. I called them and ask if they had any insurance. I was treated like I was lying to them. I was told I needed to provide proof. Well the box that had all the rotted food in it was immediately thrown out and I did not take a picture. I have had to throw my beds away one cost me $3000 and the other cost me $5000. My leather furniture that that cost me $3000 also had to be thrown out. I am also missing a bunch of stuff. They will not reimburse me or give me the information for their insurance. I would not use these people ever again and I suggest that you don't either !!! read more

Wanted to throw in a good word for Bigfoot. They came highly recommended by a friend in the Auction industry and they didn't disappoint. We used them on January 31st. The communication was excellent (can't say enough about that). They were prompt, courteous and polite. The were quiet and efficient. They moved furniture for us from Valparaiso to Ft. We had a horrible experience with Bigfoot Moving Company . Scheduled them for an 8am move . At 8:15 still not at out home and no phone call . I called and had to leave a message only to get a call back saying there batteries were dead and they were trying to put new ones in . We honestly do not know where to begin. This is long but if you like your belongings it's worth the read. We contacted several movers and decided on this company because of rating status and price. The owner was courteous on the phone and came across as professional. We booked well in advance and confirmed a day or two ahead. We, ourselves and a couple of friends moved 95% of the boxes and all the drawers of the 3 bedrooms that were being moved. Our kitchen was already moved and set, our closets and as stated our dresser drawers were already there. They were moving our furniture, our 4th bedroom was a gym so that equipment, an office, our refrigerator, separate freezer, washer/dryer and garage contents. The movers themselves did the best they could with the "training" they have. They were courteous for the most part and mostly professional however having been moved by big name movers in the past there is no comparison. The morning of the move they were 2 hours late due to not completing a move from the prior day. We loaded our truck/suv with what we could and waited for them to arrive. They arrive as I said 2 hours late, it started to rain and they contacted the owner to ask if they could change to tomorrow. They didn't ask us if it was okay. The owner than contacts us to let us know this and I'm no, not okay. You should have plans in place for situations like this. This is the start of a very long TWO days. Two days because they really don't know how to load a truck, they didn't wrap our furniture either at all or if they did it wasn't done well. Plastic wrapped some items but other items left completely unwrapped and exposed to the elements. My husband had to speak up several times because of the way they were moving the pieces, such as picking up our sofa by the sewn on pillow arm rest. The care that should have been taken with our belongings simply wasn't there. Several items were broken because they were dragged or dropped off the truck. The owner said he had a furniture guy that would fix them at no cost, back on the truck they go. We receive a call later that night from the owner to call his furniture guy so he could explain the situation. We call, he seems surprised to hear from us as he thought the owner was explaining it to us. Then proceeds to tell us that the items broken were not the fault of his people. Literally telling us we were the cause of the broken furniture, unfreakingbelievable!! We get the items back the next day when they again arrive an hour late to finish the move. They now know we're pissed and frustrated as we had a very tense argument with the owner the night before at which time I tell him I don't even know why I hired you, we could have rented a Uhaul and done it ourselves. I don't know why I'm paying you to do this. To which he now gets nervous that they won't get paid. They finish getting on the truck what they can...yep, they couldn't load everything on the truck day 2. So my husband and I have to go back and finish the move ourselves. Worst. Move. Ever!! Here is the best part, when they arrive at our new home with the contents of day 2 they won't unload until we provide payment. Like we weren't going to pay. They movers were following the orders of the owner and we didn't blame them. We understood where it was coming from. I can not for the life of me understand how they received this rating and I have and will continue to shout it from the roof tops to not use them. The owner is far from professional and an absolute scam artist in our honest opinion. read more

This is a sad story, this company moved me from Niceville to Jacksonville. I had Bigfoot do all my packing and moving. Some boxes I had stored in my new house, mainly my expensive Strife Collector bears ranging in prices from 500 to 1,000. I finally got around to unpacking them, only to find the boxes empty. I then checked my cedar chest which had my favorite collector bear inside, it too was missing. I watched these moving men pack these bears. I live by myself and nobody has gone near these bear boxes, I had them store them upstairs in the storage space under the eaves. It has been over a year and when I pulled out the boxes which were very light you can imagine the shock to find them empty. I am heart broken. I tipped these men well. I fed them and they stole from me. I recommend that nobody trust this company on a long distance move. I hate to accuse anyone, but they were the only people in my house and the only ones responsible for storing these precious expensive bears. I am sure they have been sold by now.
