My family and I had several dental procedures as well, all handled as expected. However, the rates kept increasing - maybe to pay for his $16,000,000 (sixteen million dollars) house? On my last visit, - emphasis on last -, after my cleaning was done, I asked if I was going to see a dentist. Not sure where the thought came from, but I asked if I would be changed an additional fee, and she said yes!! I have been going to the dentist twice a year since I've had teeth. NO dentist has EVER charged me for checking my teeth when the hygienist was done. NOT acceptable, nor even reasonable - what would it take? Maybe five minutes? We are now going to Smart Dental Care in Prairieville and are more than pleased. I understand that dental care is not cheap, but charging to have the dentist to check my teeth after cleaning is ridiculous.

He explained the work that needs to be done, answered all my questions, debunked some myths, and I never felt rushed or pressured. I am now scheduled for conscious sedation, getting all my problems fixed in one bang! Care Credit is accepted here, so financial woes are a breeze too! He did not come back for 45 minutes(no exagerration). Long enough for the local anesthetic to begin wearing off and the pain from the open pit he had drilled to begin. Had to be painfully re-administered . During one of the apologies from a passing dental assistant, I was told he was finishing an exam and would be in shortly. No recognition or apology for the situation from Dr. Zieler This is only one of the unprofessional and inconsiderate occurrences under his care. I was also told I needed to comeback back every 3 months for cleanings or I was going to end up losing teeth. I have never had any issues with my gums and regularly go to the dentist every 6 months for my entire life. This was red flag number one. After waiting in the chair for 20 minutes, someone came in and told me the hygienist was booked today and I would have to come back later in the day or on a different day ever though I had an appointment scheduled at this time. This was the second red flag. I rebooked an appointment for another day and when I showed up at the correct time, I was told my appointment was cancelled and they did not know why. I got no notification and was told I had to rebook for another day. This was the third bad experience I had had from one appointment. I decided that this felt was too scammy and not like a serious dental office, so I never went back. I then heard one of my close friends had the same experience where they were told they had gum disease and would not clean their teeth until they paid for a certain procedure. The Dr came in and gave what my friend described as "a timeshare presentation" about how they can save money by paying $120 a month for 12 months to get the procedure done. My friend instantly knew the vibes were off and got out of there as fast as possible. I then looked at the reviews for this place and it seems to be a running theme of everyone who goes here having gun disease. This place makes their money off of lying to you and telling you you have gum disease or are at extreme risk of it so that you end up paying hundreds to dollars. BEWARE!!!

I had just had rotator cuff surgery and was not in any dental discomfort at the time. I decided to get one of the crowns done. At the time I was quoted a price of 450.00 for my share. I paid 450.00 the day of dental work but about 6 weeks later I was told I owed another 275.00 because the insurance company would not cover the crown. I was surprised because I had had the policy over a year {long enough for a rate increase}. I felt mislead but still offered to pay half. Staff said no I should have read the small print on estimates. I am a senior living on Social Security, 275.00 is a lot of money. I had been a long term patient.

I was lucky to be able to schedule my cleaning for the very next day at the end of my exam!
