As for the rest of us, who don't like to get down and dirty with our bikes and would prefer to spend more time riding our bikes than working on them, you might want to go to a real bike shop. Its okay for the occasional tube or bike light purchase but if you frequent the shop, you might be STRONGLY encouraged to buy a membership. I stopped visiting due to this a few years ago and I'm not the only one who would rather pay more elsewhere to avoid being harassed into a membership. If I have to pay a little more for the supplies, I'm okay with that, but I don't want to buy a membership to work on my bike if I'm never going to do so. I would rather pay a mechanic to work on my bike for me so I can spend that time doing things more important to me. Its also not a great place for high end or high quality items. They're mainly catering to the college/commuter crowd. But if you're looking for a deal! This is the place to go!

I got so lucky to find BR Bikes, who responded quickly and in less than 15 minutes I was at their place of business looking at bikes. They made the effort to help me find a good bike to fit, even if that meant getting one for me. The best part was that they delivered the bike to my home, offered me a 30 day warrantee and the bike was affordable!!!!! Extremely responsive and tech savvy. When I mentioned my earlier phone call, the owner became aggressively rude, all but calling me a liar. "I said no such thing!" All he had to do was appologize for the inconvenience, maybe adding that there may have been a miscommunication. But instead he tries to gaslight me. Not cool. Stay clear of this nasty place.

Dropped my bike off for service/tune up, a bike we purchased from them several years ago. First,…read morethey could not fix the shifting problem, and I was ok with that since it is a bike I don't do serious riding on and it just wouldn't shift into the highest gears. When I go to pick it up the handlebar bag is missing off the bike and the bars have new grip tape. I ask where the bag is and they couldn't find it. It had to be taken off when the new grip tape was installed. They say they will look for it. Long story short is when I called back to see if they found they said they looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. Then they asked if it was in my car, really. I said to them, so it sounds like I'm out of luck and the response was yep. I'll find another shop next time for sure.
