During our meeting, we were given incorrect results due to a major error (duplicated income), which completely changed the outcome. One return wasn't even prepared at the time of the meeting, and later we were asked to confirm a filing status that has never applied to us. We also received communication referencing another client's name, which was concerning. Most importantly, we made filing decisions based on numbers provided by the firm that were later admitted to be incorrect, after one return had already been filed. We were not proactively notified of this. Overall, the process was disorganized, error-filled, and stressful. We requested a full refund of the $1,200 tax preparation fee due to these issues, but they refused.
