After using this company for several years successfully, I became concerned when my refund this year went MIA. I kept calling and emailing Creative Tax Management and was told that my refund was on its way. I checked with my bank several times, and was told that there had been no refund made. Fast forward to July...the IRS told me that my refund was sent to an account in NYC opened a few days before my taxes were filed by someone who used my information. The IRS told me that the account number on the paperwork I have is NOT the same as the paperwork they received, and that I should investigate my tax preparer. I notified Creative Tax, and Korinne helped me fill out an affidavit to send to the IRS. I have had to do the leg work on my own, including going to the IRS in person, calling the suspect bank, calling my own bank, etc. to investigate. It seems like I should have received a refund for services rendered from this company since I have not received my tax refund for three months, and I trusted them to send documents in successfully. I have heard nothing from the owner about my situation. It's very disappointing that they do not seem concerned for me about a breach in their program. read more

Expect poor communication.If you go here don't get help from Angelo. Angelo has Poor communication skills. Lies. Will tell you he will call you back and never does. I constantly had to call this place and he never answered my questions I had about my taxes. Almost 3 weeks with out filing my taxes. Do not use this firm for any tax related items. The work isn't bad, but but they are SUPER unresponsive. For over a year we have been requesting our Accountant File (QB) back and we still haven't. Of course we paid our invoice same day, but after we paid, communication from their side stopped. Many calls placed and not a single one returned. Last call this morning at 9AM and we were promised a call back as soon as the person we needed would show up for work. 1PM Nothing. Again. We are going to drive to their location and demand the file back then and there. We even requested the file through their client portal and we are getting 0 response from the portal as well. This is beyond UNPROFESSIONAL behavior and I recommend you do NOT use this firm if you care about actually getting answers to your questions, or even get your OWN Accountant file back so you can continue to us QB when needed. read more

Called to find out what was going on and was told he just left for a vacation. I demanded the letter back that day. It was sitting open on his desk. I definitely recommend getting your taxes done here! This was my first year filling my taxes and I had no clue on how to do it. I'm a full-time college student, works part-time and just recently got off my parent's health insurance. I knew this year I might have to pay a penalty due to not having health insurance when I stopped qualifying for my parent's insurance. Excellent service from people with a great attitude and a great sense of humor. They go above and beyond, and not only explain things in layman's terms, but also give you even more than you paid for. As an example, when our 18 year old daughter was filing her first tax return, they did it for free! How nice is that? We've been going here for years, and have never had a single bad experience.
