I finally found a great home and submitted my application, Met with Nouk and was VERY open and HONEST with her about my situation. In today's market renting is just as competitive as buying!! I saw the house on a Wednesday at Noon. I thought I hit it off with Nouk, I was there for an hour, filled out the application gave her a check and had all my documents with me. I was told she would let me know as soon as she hears back from another family. Thursday she tells me she is submitting my application. Saturday she tells me she got the background check back and that she will work with me and call me on Monday to work out the details. Monday night I hear from her husband and am told we are good to go and they are getting the lease ready and what I had to put down for deposit. I tell my kids, and we are all relieved and Happy. Tuesday night I get a call from her husband with NO excuse what so ever that he will not take me and he changed his mind!! I am devastated!! I offered to have automatic with drawl, I offered to pay 6 month up front, I offered a co-signer, I offered to have someone else take my dogs. The only response I got was they made up there mind and is moving on!!! WHO DOES THAT??? Now, I have lost a week of looking, my kids were crushed oh and also My 19 year old son has Down Syndrome and as soon as asked if that was the reason I GOT NO RESPONSE!!! I am pursing this as discrimination! How sad that there are still people out there that are so Ignorant and shellfish!! I would NEVER use Nouk as a realtor, landlord etc. The way this situation was handled was so inappropriate, rude and mean!!! I realized over time that because of all his additional attributes (Professional, always responsive, and very patient), he was the perfect realtor. It had been over 30 years since my husband, and I had previously scoured the cities in search of that one perfect realtor to help us find the house that was perfect for us at that time. Zac Bidelman patiently spent at least two years showing me various properties. He quickly fine-tuned the amenities that I was in search of until it basically came down to 3 or 4 properties.
